Beuri laughed as she ran into his arms and screamed as he picked her up in his arms and spun her around.
He hugged her tight, just like his mom, and smelled like he was wearing some sort of expensive cologne.
"I've missed you oppa!" Beuri whispered in his ear as their moms walked into the kitchen. Even though they were the same age, Beuri called him "oppa" because, in a way, he was like her older brother.
Tae Yang squeezed her and whispered back "I missed you too, Baby Ri."
Beuri laughed and punched him in the arm. He used to call her Baby Ri because he was always taller than her, and it was still true, so he still called her that.
"OUCH!" he pretended he was injured. "You still punch hard!"
Beuri laughed, he hadn't changed one bit. He was still a joker and teased her.
"You should go change Baby Ri." he said to her "I can't be seen with you like this! And I want you to take me somewhere! GO! GO! GO!" Beuri laughed to herself. Wow, he was still bossy too! She and Tae Yang went upstairs. She went to change while Tae Yang went to the washroom.
Beuri changed into white skinnies, a baby blue polo (to match with Tae Yang) and diamond studs that her mom got her for her 17th birthday.
She was straightening her hair when all of a sudden Tae Yang burst out of her closet.
"RRRRRRAAAAAAAA!" he yelled.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Beuri screamed and dropped her straightener on the hardwood floor. This caused a part of it to pop off.
"TAE YANG! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING IN MY CLOSET?!" then she looked at her straightener, "AND LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY STRAIGHTENER!" Beuri gasped.
"Haha. Sorry about that Baby Ri. But remember that secret passage from the washroom to your closet? Turns out I still fit!" he said with pride
She remembered the days when the two would steal cookies from Beuri's pantry and hide in there so no one would bother them and so they wouldn't have to share with anyone else. She hadn't been in there in forever! It was basically just a little tunel about a metre wide and a metre thick.
Beuri looked at her broken straightener and her best friend's happy smile and decided to forgive him.
"So where are we going?" Beuri asked him.
"I don't know, you're driving remember?" Tae Yang laughed. When he laughed, his whole face lit up.
"But you're the guest, so you choose!" Beuri replied.
"Okay, well let's go for ice cream!" he suggested.
They left the house and Beuri went on her way to the nearest ice cream parlour.
On the way there, Beuri decided to ask him questions to get them all caught up.
"Hey oppa, do you have a girlfriend?" she asked him.
He raised an eyebrow. "Mayyybeee, maybe not."
