A relief washed over me when my ears picked up whispers and occasional sighs coming from the kitchen. ‘Thank god’
But then, why would they be whispering without me? I thought to myself while trying to make my way down the wooden steps. It did not creak so much to my gladness and part of the wall’s shadow was covering mine so no one would notice.
“So what? …He wouldn’t say anything…”
I recognized that one voice was low and scratchy as hard as my ears could pick up their conversation, I could identify it belongs to Top hyung.
“I just think maknae have the right to know.”
Tae Yang sounded very stressed and angry. What was it that he wanted me to know?
“Neh…hyung…why are you doing this?”
Only when Daesung was deep in thought would his sentence be so pushed out and quiet as it was.
By then I had guessed the subject that was being questioned was no other than Ji Yong. I make out his even and steady sigh seeping in after all the other members had stopped their questioning. Everyone was silent waiting for a response from him. I was also silent and waiting.
“It’s not a big deal!” he said it louder than he meant.
“So what if I moved out, you guys have more room, and plus, I would feel much better being by myself. Manager hyung and I talked about it before, he already agreed so you can’t do anything about it… this way my scandal won’t be any business to Big Bang and---”
“YAH! WHAT ABOUT MAKNAE? WHAT ABOUT SEUNGRI?” Tae Yang interrupted. He didn’t care if his voice was raised anymore. It was a long time since he had gotten angry.
“Don’t you give me the bull shit that you don’t care what he thinks. We ALL know what is going on between you two, how could you just leave huh Ji Yong? When did you become such a fool?”
The silence was like a knife cut, sharp and cold; I leaned closer toward the sound Ji Yong was emitting…right then… I fell.
Catching my balance on the railing I landed two steps lower, still in a standing position and I looked up to see those surprising eyes framing mine. If I could disappeared how I wish I could then.
Ji Yong didn’t seem to think when he turned and walked out of the room. He didn’t bother to stop for the calling of Top hyung was giving, nor the surprising shout of Dae Sung.
“oh..seungri” Daesung was the only one with a reaction fast enough to notice that my legs was cut by the little nail sticking from the side of the rail.
“You ok maknae?” Tae Yang asked me with a calming hand on my shoulder.
Somehow I knew he wasn’t talking about my accident.

[30 minutes before]
*ring….. ring……ring*
“Ah~…Oppa, it’s me, Sun Ye I want to see you.”
“Sun Ye…I’m really tired right now, can we not talk about anything?” He gave a sigh that rubbed the cold surface of his cell. Across the line, Sun Ye could tell there was something bothering her boyfriend. She wonders if it had anything to do with that boy? The one that Ji Yong always talk about, Seungri.
“Ok then call me later if you can.” Intentionally Sun Ye made her voice sounded more hurt than she really was. Ji Yong wouldn’t be a fool who a denied to be with her.
“Wait…” The pause was longer than she thought when she caught a sound of his swallowing on the other side.
“How about we go to movie? I got to tell you something.”
“Arasol, pick me up at 7 then.”
“Alrite, at 7.”
“Anyo oppa”
Ji Yong hung up the phone first to her surprise. He definitely had something on his mind that was making a strain on their relationship. Sun Ye nodded to herself as she was determined to find out his reason.
-----------------
“Seungri look what I’ve got for you!” Dae sung hyung, with a proud face, held up a glass of orange juice with its liquid wiggling side to side behind the glass.
“This will make you better” He said and forcefully handed the juice into my hand.
I didn’t want to disappoint him so I drank. The sour yet sweet substance seeped down my throat as I took a gulp then another. Bottles up I drank it, then wiped my lips forcefully trying to be rid of the pulp gathered at the sides of my mouth. I jumped off my seat when the signal of a vibrating phone startled my calm self; Daesung did too because of me.
A string of strange numbers moved on the screen made me questioned which others would know my number. I pressed then slowly answered its caller.
“..Yeobeoseyo?...”
“Seungri? Is that you?” There was a strange yet familiar air to the voice of this stranger. I’ve heard it before but not remember where or when.
“Deh…who is this?”
“It haven’t been that long, hah! You forgot about me already? I guess Choikang Changmin shouldn’t call people without consent first then.” I heard a snicker coming from who now I realized was Changmin. He seems rather happy to be calling me since a week after our meeting.
There was a small pause between our cells, as I found myself anticipated a little for another of his response.
“Mienhe Seungri…umm… I hope you don’t mind, Tae Yang hyung gave me your phone number. Actually…I asked and he gave but that is not the point. I think it’s cool if we can hang out again.” Changmin said in a low voice surprising for a singer like him. I could feel he was thinking along the line.
“Oh…” I replied. The truth was I didn’t know what to say. It was somewhat nice to be out since I haven’t step feet for any other purposes than practice. I look up to find Dae Sung, smiling at me strangely; he kept nodding every 2 seconds as if suggesting a message I should agreed to.
On the other line, the golden boy replied to me with a proposal.
“So…I was thinking…since it’s been a long time…I’m asking you to go to movie with me tonight. My treat, 7 perhaps?” He was more urging the sentence to push out rather than slowly cutting it. I was surprised he even asked.
I look to Daesung again just to see if his expressions or anything could help me make a decision. He was still at it; I guessed the nodding hinted a major point.
‘One night, Seungri…no harm, you just need to stop thinking about him. This is a good chance.’ My inner self suggested and I sigh to the phone…
“Sure at 7… but I can’t drive yet I—”
“No worries…I got you.” He cut me off with an excited tone that resembled the exact Changmin I thought of.
“Ok, maknae! I’ll just see you at the door by 7. Wear something warm, I think it’s going to snow tonight.”
‘Snow?...’ I thought
“Uh…bye hyung” I hung up the phone, feeling a strange freshness washing over me. Daesung was still there staring at me.
“I got you a wonderful coat!” he ran to his room while I look behind surprised by his words
“Were you listening to my conversation?” I yelled like I was pissed off but in truth I was smiling the whole time.
-----------------------------------------
[At 7:00 PM]
“You’re ready?”
“Yeah…”
“Let’s go.”
------------------------------------------
“Hyung what are we watching?” I questioned while Changmin handed me his and my drinks then picked up two large popcorns.
“Ah…*nod*…I don’t know, probably some horror movie.” There was that sheepish smile that squeezed his eyes thin. It was cute evidently.
“Are you joking?” I grinned at him and he walked on chuckling.
When we made it in the light was shut off, really low and dark that I couldn’t make out anything except the screen. Then Changmin whispered with a pull to my sleeve for me to follow him. Fortunately there were two empty seats far back in the center. I snuck my way in, apologizing along the way.
“This is a scary movie isn’t it? No wonder it is so dark in here…” I whispered to Changmin who seems to be settling down faster than myself.
“Sorry…do you not like this kind of movies? The ticket to all others were sold out only this one left…I suck don’t I?” I couldn’t make out his expression in the dark, but from the sound of it he was upset.
“No it’s fine, I like it.” I laughed softly to appease him.
The screen played on the warning message, with people taking out their cell phones and crying babies to turn them off. Begin the trailers one by one and I glued my eyes to the front sometimes with an occasional reached over for a sip or popcorn.
There was an infrequent whimper beside me, coming out from what seem to be a girl. I guessed she wasn’t really enjoying herself like I was. It was interesting to see supernatural events can occur to almost the entire random passengers on the train. Supposedly a man wanted to kill and abduct bodies of people who travel by train at night. I jumped when the fight was intensified by the screeching of freaky violin music; and was even more startled when Changmin hand reached over to pat me. He chuckled softly at my reaction and I gave him a light punch.
-------------------------------
“Sun Ye… are you alright?” Ji Yong asked his girl friend as they finished the movie and heading for the exit.
“Uh huh…oppa it’s ok, even though I whimpered doesn’t mean I hate it.” She giggled and hugged him from the side.
They were holding hands walking side by side into an even more crowded area.
“Sorry…I told you not to get the ticket. So what if everything else was sold out, we could’ve went somewhere.” He was more pissed off at himself than the staff. ‘what kind of guy treat his girlfriend to a horror movie?’
“Deh…well I wanted to watch a movie with you. I feel much safer knowing you are there when that strange man comes out with a knife and about to chop people.” She smiled and poked his cheeks lightening his mood up.
While talking and walking they didn’t notice another pair stopping suddenly at the trash bin in front. Sun Ye bumped into them accidently. She apologized in surprise, then…
“Oh…Seungri?”
