Hebe dressed in a brown and green floral dress with a thin sweater over her shoulders. She sighed as she remembered the handsome man she had met last night. She had almost forgotten since he left so early in the morning, but he was just a one night stand. He didn't mean anything. He wasn't supposed to mean anything, and he didn't.
She got into her car and drove to her dad's place. Her father's home was a lovely, three story house with French inspired windows. She drove towards the gates and the doors automatically opened. She was greeted by two maids who led her to her dad's office. The walls of his office were guarded by framed painting of contemporary art. As she made her entrance, she noticed a new Japanese tree in the corner of the room by a large shelf holding hard covered books. In the big leather chair behind the glossy, marble desk, was the Chairman of the Tian Enterprise, her dad.
"Hello Daddy," Hebe greeted a bit dully.
"Hello Hebe," Her dad returned the greeting and stared at her with dark chocolate eyes. He was a little man in his early fifties, but his voice was a deep rumbling boom in the hollow room. He was dressed in his usual business attire, aside from the childishly bright pink tie Hebe had given him for Father's Day last year. "You must already know why I've called you here."
Hebe nodded a smile far from her face. She never liked the business side of her father. It always ceased to intimidate her how he kept a straight face while keeping a formal atmosphere to things. She always feared this side of him the most.
"As the youngest member in the Tian household I have treated you easier than your other sisters, who have lived up to the family name. Today I am asking you to take part in a summer job because if one day the Tian Corporation were to go bankrupt, you need something to fall on. Hebe, you cannot continue to live off of the money that I make. From today on, I want you to become independent. You will be working under one of the smaller companies as an assistant."
"And if I don't?" Hebe retorted back, thinking she had gotten herself out of it.
"Well I hope you do because I'm going to cancel all your credit cards. I will also talk to your sister so don't go asking them. Of course, I'm not forcing you to take the job. You can find your own job." Mr. Tian smirked as he saw Hebe's distorted face to his response. "You'll be meeting your new boss tomorrow to settle your own agreements."
Hebe got up with a huff and walked towards the door when she heard her father add, "Work hard, because he can fire you." Her eyes widened. This was the cruelest thing her dad had ever done to her. She wanted to scream. No. No, actually, she wanted to go to the club and spend hundreds of dollars on whisky, but apparently she couldn't do that either since her cards were cancelled. Hebe groaned as she was escorted out of the house by the two maids.
Her life sucks.

Hebe groaned as her alarm clock went off. This already seemed stupid to her. I mean, who actually got up so early in the morning? It didn't seem real to her. Because of this stupid job that made her wake up in the stupid morning, she was going to grow bags under her eyes. And that was stupid.
Hebe dressed in a short pink dress that hung just above her knees. She put on randomly placed jewelry as she tried to stuff grapes into her mouth at the same time. Her hair was lying on her back with little curls bouncing off her shoulders, but she was in too much of a rush to straighten it. Just as she was running out of her house, she grabbed a pink cap on the table and placed it on her head.

Aaron sat there, tapping his fingers impatiently as he sipped his fourth cup of coffee. He didn't know if he was being stood up or what. Chairman Tian had arranged for his daughter to meet him at eleven that morning but he sat there clueless. Was this damn spoiled chick going to show up? He was starting to lose his temper, but he really couldn't be blamed. He had come at 10:50 AM and it's been more than half an hour and she still wasn't here! He was starting to regret the promise he made to not fire the Chairman's daughter at all costs. But he knew that if she was going to be late like this at work, he was going to cut her salary in half.
Just as he was about to get up and leave, a girl in an outgoing pink dress came running in; her hair was a mess of waves that fell onto her shoulders and her face hid behind a pink cap. She looked a little flustered as she searched the tables. Looking at her designer clothes, and just the way she walked made him sure that she was the daughter.
"Ms. Tian?" I called out, waving my hands. Her head lifted up, showing me her plump lips and sharp nose, but her eyes stayed under the pink cap. How could she even see? She walked over to him and lifted up her hat.
"No way!" She gasped in shock as her wide eyes stared at him. Her pink, manicured nails pointed down at him accusingly. "You're the guy from last time!"
Though as vague as her comment was to the people who were eavesdropping in the cafe, Aaron gasped along with her. "You're the daughter of Tian Enterprise?"
She nodded her head slowly, mumbling, "Oh my god, I slept with my boss." Aaron chuckled softly at her comment. But it was really bad timing; really. "You think this is funny? God! My boss is going to be some old sicko?"
"Hey, I'm probably not even that older than you."
"Stalker!"
"No I'm not!"
"Then you're a con artist out to take my Daddy's money or else what would you be? You're too young."
Aaron sighed. "I'm not a con artist and if you think about it, I'm the one paying you. So you slept with me. Get over it," Aaron said meanly with another sip of coffee. Hebe's reaction was utterly disappointing because she did not shut up.
"Yah! How can you say that? I just slept with my boss! How can you just tell me to get over it?"
"It's not like you've never done it before. Get over it." Aaron replied back, brusquely. To his relief the girl had finally shut up. The waitress walked up to the table cautiously as she turned towards Ms. Tian.
"Umm, can I get you anything?"
"Emm....water," Hebe muttered and just as the waitress was out of sight she muttered, "You jerk,"
"But I'm your boss!" Aaron smiled evilly at her and noticing her face was pale, due to the fact she had on no makeup, he added, "Also, if you're going to work for me, wear makeup. You’re already a newbie; I don't want to be looking at an ugly face every day. It puts me in a bad mood."
The girl frowned at him, biting her lip, because she knew she couldn't say anything back.
"Here's the contract," Aaron handed Ms. Tian a stack of stapled papers.
"Only four hundred dollars a week?!" Hebe screamed out. "I demand a raise!"
He raised his eyebrows at her order. "Order denied. You haven't even done anything. Sign the contract and if you do a good job, I'll give you a raise. That simple,"
Hebe shifted in her seat muttering curses as she signed the papers. Aaron took the papers and stared at her signature.
'Hebe Tian'
"You're that Hebe girl!" Aaron screamed at her suddenly, pointing at her this time with his short chipped nails. It was more of a statement than a question but Hebe nodded her head anyways.
"So?" Hebe questioned, a bit confused by his sudden outburst. "Didn't you already know that? Wow, my boss is an idiot too. This is going to be fun." She said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. Aaron's honey brown eyes turned cold.
"Jerk,"
-
Hebe looked at her new boss as he changed from his relaxed mood to a cold hostile way. She was a bit frightened by this sudden change. All her life her father had protected her from these looks. Her siblings worked to keep her from thinking others did not like her. Even the people who worked for the Tian Family felt an obligation to keep her from the reality of life. But Hebe wasn't a simple innocent girl who only knew the nice parts of the world. His sudden change had brought back unwanted memories to her.
"Then tell me why I'm a jerk." Hebe said with a straight, no-kidding face. Her voice had become a dull, life-less tone and her eyes seemed to grey up. Tears were threatening her eyes. Though as silly as it sounded, she had only majorly cried three times; being born, when a certain person had died, and when she broke up with her first boyfriend.
Aaron was surprised by the question at first, but his anger towards her had made him oblivious to her watery eyes. "Because you are and the thing I wonder most is why you didn't try to deny it. I've guessed you've grown onto it, eh?"
Hebe took her first sip of water. "I've signed the contract. When will I be starting?"
"Next week. And please take note at my iced coffee. I only drink coffee here and I drink it every day."
Hebe got up and snatched his coffee and seemed to be examining it. With a quick toss, the coffee landed on Aaron's head and trickled down his outraged face. "Coffee really is bad for your health." Hebe stated curtly. She was about to walk out the door when she turned around to Aaron. "And yes, boss, I have grown up to be a bit jerkish."
With that, Hebe placed her pink cap on and walked out briskly, leaving only the echo of the cafe bells, and a soaking Aaron.

Next Week
-
Hebe woke up that Monday at 7:30AM. She dressed herself in a plain purple t-shirt and a white ruffled skirt that led to her knees and drove to the small cafe to order her boss' iced coffee and a bagel for herself. Hebe was still mumbling curses as she entered the empty office building. She was the first one to arrive, like Ayumi's schedule had planned. She walked over to a door that said 'Personal Assistant - Ms. Lee' and opened the door. It was a small room with a small window beside the computer desk. But aside from the size, there was a homey feel to it. There was a soft smell of candy and on her desk was a bowl of decorative chocolates and mints. Hebe walked over to the small window that revealed a scenery of small shops and restaurants. A fresh smell of baked sweets filled the office and suddenly, Hebe didn't feel so grieved to be working here.
That was until she heard the office door open and loud voices filled the building.
"Did you hear that Tian girl is working here?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, and I heard she's a spoiled brat."
"She's pretty snobby too, I heard. And she's such a party girl."
"I bet she's been laid by every famous guy,"
Hebe huffed in anger and stuffed her bagel into her mouth. She was nothing like that! She hated people who assumed things without even getting to know a person. She would prove them wrong. She would prove them very wrong! She was about to open the door when she heard the girls gasp.
"Mr. Yan! We didn't know you were here,"
"Don't worry girls, this'll be our little secret." the man's voice answered back.
"Thanks," the two girls giggled in response.
"But it's true you know. That girl really is a b?tch," Mr. Yan said just as Hebe burst through the door.
"You jerk!" Hebe cried out as she handed him his coffee roughly. "Bye, Mr. Yan!" Hebe shouted at him before running off.
-
Aaron looked at the iced coffee in his hands. He hadn't expected her to be on time. He hadn't expected her remember his coffee. In fact, he hadn't expected her to even know that she was to work this week. He ran after her, feeling a bit guilty.
"Ms. Tian, giving me coffee isn't your only job!" He shouted out, unwilling to lose to her. After he realized that it was Hebe that would be working for him, he decided to be a jerk. He wanted to get back at her. He wanted her to pay for what she had done to Jaejoong. It wasn't just how she had broken up with him, it was how she stood him up on dates, made the guy wait, rushed the guy, and did things her way all the time.
He remembered the say, "Never fight fire with fire because you only get more fire," but in this case, he wasn't fighting fire with fire. He was fighting fire with snob, which pretty much gave him the authority to point a flamethrower at her face. Besides, he was her boss. But then again, her dad was his boss...
But she didn't that.
Before he knew it, he had caught up with Hebe. Hebe was outside by the bus stop, sitting there on the bench next to a bunch of loose newspapers. She turned around to glare at him.
"So you are a stalker," Hebe mumbled to him. "I hope you die,"
"We'll all die sooner or later, happy now? I'll give you ten minutes and if you’re not back then I'm cutting your salary in half." Aaron said coldly as she walked away. Aaron could feel her eyes on him as he walked back into the warm offices. He stepped into his own room to see his cup of iced coffee sitting on his desk. His office was a plain white office with a desk near a big window that gave a nice view of the mountains in the west. Beside the desk were a soft couch and two beanbag chairs that he used to read documents at night.
Aaron sat down in his big leather chair that stood behind his desk. He picked up a packet of documents that his lawyer had sent him after partnering up f\with another company. He made a few notes but his eyes continued to sway towards the iced coffee. He couldn't help wondering if she had ordered the right type, but he refused to take a sip of it. For some reason it felt like he was losing to Hebe if he drank the coffee he ordered. He continued to work but the cup was haunting him.
Hebe, the girl who was a spoiled little princess on the front page of every magazine, had woken up early to get him coffee. It seemed a bit wrong of him to make such a judgment without really getting to know her better, but in a way, he did know her. He knew how she took advantage of Jaejoong. He knew how she treated Jaejoong like a toy. He also knew how she heartlessly broke Jaejoong into pieces after making him fall madly in love with her. He knew he had to take revenge.
Just then Hebe walked into his office.
-
"Here's some paper work, dumb@ss," Hebe handed him a folder. "Mr. Yan, Daddy's called. He's on hold,"
Hebe smiled as she said "daddy" because she knew how powerful her father was and she was sure to take advantage of that power. She skipped off happily, waiting for the day to end so she could report Mr. Yan to her dad. She walked back into her office to see that her phone was ringing again. She picked it up.
"Hi this is-" She was cut off.
"Hey Ayumi," the voice said back. Hebe paused. The voice sounded all too familiar. "This is Jaejoong. I'm sorry for calling you but Aaron's cell phone is turned off. Just tell him that I'll be coming back sometime next week. Oh, and go get a check up your voice sounds odd. Thanks, got to go, bye." Jaejoong's line clicked off. Hebe sat there a bit surprised.
Jaejoong was friends with Mr. Yan?
