It has been four years since Ron’s operation. During these four years he has been going back to the hospital every once in a while because the operation was not a great success as they thought it would be. His heart would sometimes skip a beat or his heart wasn’t pumping enough blood. Once in the hospital he always had to go through the same tests and taken the same medicine. Also during these four years, Ron did not go back to HK for he did not know what to say to Leila if he ever saw her again. He decided to improve his education and went to college. He majored in arts. Tavia and Ron has also become very close during these past 4 years. Tavia finally received her doctorial degree and became a heart doctor. Today is Ron’s graduation.
Tavia: “hey Ron, congrads… you finally did it”
Ron: “yea I know.”
Tavia: “so you have any plans on how to celebrate your graduation?”
Ron: “I was planning to celebrate it with my mom but because she’s ill I told her to not come and visit me.”
Tavia: “o, ok as a graduation present from me, I’ll treat you to dinner, alrite?”
Ron: “you treating me? Wow I gotta find an expensive restaurant.”
Tavia: “ok, any restaurant you want.”
Ron: “great, lets go.”
*AT THE RESTAURANT*
Tavia: “Ron are you thinking of going back to HK?”
Ron: “I’m not sure.”
Tavia: “why not? O wait I just answered my own question… it’s because of Leila rite?”
Ron: “yea. I don’t know what to say to her. it been four years and I’m still in love with her. but who knows, she might have already gotten marry.”
Tavia: “well you should still go back and visit auntie and ray and the company.”
Ron: “yea I know…wait what about you?”
Tavia: “what about me?”
Ron: “didn’t you say that your parents are in Hong Kong?”
Tavia: “yea so?”
Ron: “well I never heard you talking about them.”
Tavia: “I don’t want to talk about it, it’s a long story.”
Ron: “well you’ve listen to my story for 4 years, I don’t think your story can be longer then mines. Come on Tavia tell me what’s wrong?”
Tavia: “ok, you know that I came here since I was 17, right after high school. And I’ve always told you that I came here because I wanted to study more but that was a lie. Well have you ever heard of Yeung’s Gowns?”
Ron: “yea, they used to be one of our best clients.”
Tavia: “well guess what the Yeung stands for? Yup the owners are my parents. At age 17, they forced me to go out with this guy named Sammul, cause his family is also rich too. My parents were afraid that I might hang out with the wrong group of people and marry a nobody. So they set me up with Sammul who was a really nice guy but I had no chemistry with him. One day, my parents forced me to much and I just ran away…I told them that I was going to the US to become a doctor. I know that they were mad at me but I couldn’t marry someone who I didn’t like not to even mention love. I never went back because I know my parents will force me to marry him.”
Ron: “well Tavia, you should go back and tell your parents that. You’re almost 24 now, you can stand up for your own rights.”
Tavia: “I know but I can’t face my parents. They were the one who took care of me, I can’t let them down.”
Ron: “let them down?! What are you talking about. You are a doctor!”
Tavia: “okay I’ll think about it. Let’s eat our food is here.”
*IN HK*
During these past 4 years Leila and Nancy finally reached their dreams of becoming great models. Every company wanted them but they stayed true to R&R company. Leila is not going out with anyone because she can’t take the pain of being hurt again. Plus, her heart stills remains with Ron, who in her mind is already marry and might have kids already. Who knew, they haven’t talk to each other in about 4 years.
* 3 DAYS LATER IN NEW YORK*
Ron: “Tavia are you ready? You know the plane doesn’t wait for anyone.”
Tavia: “yea I know. I’m coming down.”
*IN THE AIRPORT*
Ron: “Tavia, are you ready? Cause once you get in the plane there is no turning back.”
Tavia: “I know. But you promised me that you’ll go and help convince my parents right.”
Ron: “yes Tavia, I promise. I can’t let anyone hurt my lil sis.”
Tavia: “Thanks Ron. You are the best. And I’ll help you deal with Leila.”
Ron: “thanks Tavia. No matter what happens I will always be by your side.”
Tavia: “thanks Ron. Ok let’s go in… remember the airplane won’t wait for anyone.”
Ron: “okay lets go in and deal with reality in HK together.”
