She opened the door and quickly yanked Sunye inside. "Ow," Sunye complained. "Whoa... shouldn't you be ready by now?"
"Uh... yes. I will be soon! Wait, what are you doing here?" Yoobin asked and Sunye smirked at her.
"I know you Yoobin, on weekends, you just have to get your twelve hours of sleep. Even though you sleep so early, so I came in as your 'emergency kit'," Sunye said and held up her bag that were probably filled with cosmetics.
"Okay, well I have to take a shower first. Stay in the living room," Yoobin said.
"Only five minutes, okay?" Sunye called out from the living room but knowing Sunye, she wasn't just going to stay still. She sneaked up the stairs and passed the bathroom to Yoobin's room. As expected, her room was clean, all but her closet. She looked around finding an outfit for Yoobin's special date.
"You're going with Taeyang..." Sunye mumbled to herself and sighed. She now realized that she felt something for Taeyang but she loves her friend very much and for her, she will push her feelings away. "I'll make this the best day, Yoobin!"
Sunye grabbed some clothes and if they weren't good enough for a date, she just threw them at her bed. She looked for something girly for Yoobin to wear since most of the time all she wears is jeans or pants and t-shirts. Yoobin needed some girl attire to show off her body in front of Taeyang or maybe in this case, TOP. Sunye felt better and more at ease with TOP around. It meant that Taeyang won't be able to make a move on Yoobin so she has nothing to worry about.
She heard the water stop running in the bathroom. Yoobin was probably getting dressed at the moment with the clothes she picked which weren't too...girly. Sunye quickly assessed half the amount of her clothes and finally found a long sleeveless shirt that looked like a short dress. She grabbed Yoobin's short shorts that she only wore during summer or when she was going swimming. Sunye laid it on Yoobin's favorite fuzzy chair at the side gently and bent down under her bed where her shoes were.
She could hear the door turn at the bathroom and she quickly closed the door quietly so it could buy her sometime. She searched through the many slippers and heels that Yoobin barely ever wore and found flats that would match perfectly with her bright blue long shirt.
"Sunye? Are you still down there?" Yoobin called out thinking that Sunye was still downstairs. Sunye heard her footsteps at the stairs and smiled to herself. She brought the things down and closed the door behind her.
"Aish, Sunye-ah! Didn't I tell you to stay in the--" Yoobin said but stopped when she saw Sunye at the stairs with a bunch of clothes and her white flats. "What is that?"
She pointed at Sunye who laughed. "No, Yoobin, what is that?" Sunye asked as she checked Yoobin's outfit. Yoobin wore grey track pants with white socks at her feet, which meant she was probably wearing sneakers. Her shirt was a t-shirt as expected but it was plain white and she had a shocking red zipper hoody over it. A towel was wrapped around her head and she had a sandwich in her hand.
Sunye sighed and walked towards Yoobin. "This is what you need to wear. And no breakfast for you until you get everything done, including your hair!"
Yoobin moaned and she knew that nothing will stop Sunye. Nothing ever does. She grabbed the things and slowly walked towards her room to change into whatever Sunye chose for her, and just hopefully, they weren't too out-of-hand.
Five minutes passed and Yoobin came out of her room and down the stairs to see Sunye lying down on the couch as she watched TV. Her best friend looked up at her with an amazed expression as she smiled cheerfully.
"You look beautiful!" Sunye said as she stared at her "artwork". She smiled proudly until her eyes met Yoobin's messy and tangled wet hair. "Except for those wet things on your head."
Yoobin looked confused at first and soon realized that she was talking about her hair. She groaned once again when she knew that Sunye brought a hairdryer with her and even some hair products. No doubt that Sunye was always prepared when it comes to things like boys. Sunye made Yoobin sit at a dining chair and took out her hair products and began to style Yoobin's hair after quickly blow drying it.
As Sunye continued to style Yoobin's hair, they heard a low grumble. Yoobin's loud stomach, like always. "Yah, can I eat yet?"
"I'm almost done!" Sunye said as she clipped on something to Yoobin's hair and a small yelp came from Yoobin. "Mianhe, I didn't mean to. Uh, I didn't think you'd want a too fancy hairstyle so I made it very simple."
Yoobin got up and headed for the bathroom to look in the mirror to see what Sunye had done to her hair. 'Hmm...not bad,' Yoobin assessed to herself. 'But this clip is bugging me.' She took off the clip and grabbed a hair tie from her wrist and quickly put her hair neatly in a side ponytail.
"Whoa, not bad Yoobin. I didn't know you were actually good at doing your hair," Sunye said, impressed. Yoobin smiled at her proudly showing some of her few mysterious skills.
"And the bangs should be off to the side, right?" Yoobin asked as she did so and Sunye nodded.
"Very good. Ah, look at the time, you need to hurry up and leave!" Sunye said hurriedly. Yoobin looked and found that there was only fifteen minutes left.
"I didn't eat yet. My sand--"
"Let's go!" Sunye grabbed Yoobin by her arm and made her wear her flats. Sunye put on her shoes and ran to the bus stop with Yoobin.
"Yah, I didn't eat yet!" Yoobin said as soon as they got to the bus stop.
"You can eat at the date. Oh, there's the bus." Sunye pointed at a small bus that stopped at the traffic lights. "Call me later and tell me what happens, `kay? Oh, and good luck."
The bus stopped and before Yoobin got on, she gave a confused look at Sunye but didn't receive an answer. She sat by the window and looked at Sunye who happily waved goodbye to her.
==== THE DATE ====
Yoobin arrived at a bus stop that was only a few minutes away from the amusement park. She looked at the time and realized she was already fifteen minutes late. She tried to run towards the main entrance as fast as she could when one of her flats got off. She looked back and found that it was gone.
"Where'd my other shoe go?" Yoobin said worriedly. She panicked as she looked around the area. There weren't any shoe stores in amusement parks, that's for sure.
"Looking for this?" A voice said from behind her and when she looked, she found TOP standing with her shoe.
"Can you please give it that to me?" She asked but TOP didn't move and only smiled. She hopped towards him with one foot and was so close to grabbing it when TOP backed away with one step. She tried again but TOP was having too much fun with this and did it again. "Yah, I'm trying to be nice here. Can you PLEASE give my shoe back?"
TOP laughed at Yoobin's sudden personality change. "I didn't know you were so 'nice.' But since you did ask ever so nicely, I'll give it to you, my princess."
He walked towards her and helped her walk to a bench. She sat down and looked at what TOP was going to do and found him kneeling on the ground with her shoe. He picked up her left foot, the one that lost the shoe, and carefully put back her shoe in its place. Yoobin looked away to avoid being seen by TOP that she was blushing. She actually felt like Cinderella with TOP as her prince.
"There!" TOP said when he finished. "Now let's go and get this date over with!"
He stood up and started walking when he realized that Yoobin was still sitting down at the bench. "Yah! What are you doing? Let's go."
Yoobin looked at him and stood up, quickly chasing after him. They walked together side by side towards the main entrance where Taeyang was standing.
"Taeyang!" TOP shouted. Taeyang looked at him and was about to shout "hey" back but realized that he wasn't supposed to be here.
"TOP...what are you doing here?" Taeyang asked when they reached him. "This is my date with Yoobin."
TOP laughed and put a hand on his shoulder. "Relax, I'm here to meet... a friend. But for the mean time, let's share this moment together. I have no idea when that friend of mine is going to come so let's enjoy it together!"
"Let's just go in," Yoobin said and followed TOP inside. Taeyang sighed, not expecting a third wheel to come along.

"So what rides do you want to go in first?" TOP asked excitedly.
"TOP, maybe you should start off with wherever you want. Yoobin and I can start over by the viking. See you--"
"Wait, wait, wait. I can't let you do that." TOP looked at Yoobin and she remembered that he was supposed to help her. "Uh...because I want to ride that too!"
TOP grabbed Yoobin's wrist which meant that Taeyang had no choice but to go with them.
They rode many rides like the Viking, bumper cars, swings and even the merry go round. After all those cheap and not so exciting rides, TOP and them were ready to take on the big ride. The "Enchanted Castle's Roller Coaster" was the biggest roller coaster in the park and maybe even the province. They joined the long line and tried to prepare themselves as they wait.
Yoobin looked up at the tall roller coaster and heard the loud screams from not only the girls, but even the guys that looked like they could take it. She gulped as she saw some people get off and a few throw up at their barf bag. Taeyang held her by the shoulder and she looked up.
"It's going to be okay, I'm here," he said and smiled at her. She tried to smile back but having Taeyang beside her didn't really assure her she'll be safe.
"Yah, don't tell me you're afraid of roller coasters," TOP said and smirked at her. "You know you can still back out. The exit is that way." He pointed at where they entered and laughed.
Yoobin shifted uncomfortably. She can't let TOP think that she's weak and that she can't take a ride like this. She shook her head and tried her best to give him a real smile.
"Who said I was afraid? I'm already here, why do I have to go? And are you sure it's not you who's afraid?" Yoobin asked and this time it was TOP's turn to pretend he's strong.
"Of course! Didn't you know? I'm a major roller coaster addict. I could ride this for the day!" TOP exclaimed. He looked at the height of it and gulped just like Yoobin did. He felt the butterflies in his stomach and didn't feel too good. 'You can do this, TOP. Prove to this girl that you can take this ride.'
A few minutes passed and they were almost at the front of the line. "Yoobin-ah... are you shaking?" asked Taeyang, concerned. Yoobin smiled at him and shook her head.
"Of course not. I'm all up for it."
"Okay, the next people in line," the operator said. He allowed some people in and TOP came next followed by Yoobin and then Taeyang. Taeyang was about to go with Yoobin when the operator stopped him. "She could go with this guy here. There's only two to a seat."
"Oh, well she could sit with me." Taeyang looked at Yoobin who was about to get up and follow him but she had the seat already set, which meant she can't get out until the end of the ride.
"Taeyang... sorry, this thing is stuck," Yoobin said and Taeyang's jaw was wide open. He had no choice but to sit behind them. "Great... now I'm stuck with you."
"Ha, well this is good isn't it? Taeyang's away from you, and also, I get to see how scared you'll be." TOP said mockingly. They heard a ring that meant it was time for the ride to start. It started to move slowly and Yoobin found herself gripping tightly on to the seat. TOP laughed nervously at Yoobin but realized he was also doing the same. It slowly started to go up on a ramp and they felt a huge downfall coming up next, but not as big as the one after.
'Deep breath,' Yoobin told herself and she kept exhaling and inhaling getting faster and faster as they got closer to the end.
"Yah, TOP...I don't know if I can handle th-- AHHHHHH!!!!!" Yoobin screamed at the top of her lungs as they went DOWN the ramp. Right beside her was TOP's endless screaming as well and Yoobin couldn't help but laugh when they were just going in circles.
"Why are you laughing?" TOP asked at the top of his voice. The roller coaster was just going loops and swung from side to side.
"Well, you were so scared!" Yoobin said as the cart slowly went up another ramp but this time WAY higher.
"Yah! You were just as scared as me," TOP said. The cart was almost at the top and as soon as they were at the highest point, Yoobin couldn't hold on to her fake strength. She let go of the seat and grabbed even tighter on TOP's buff arm. "YA--AHHHHHHHHH!"
And the roller coaster went down in a swoop once more but this time, Yoobin felt a bit better holding onto someone who was just as scared as she is. She closed her eyes as she held on tightly with both hands at TOP's arm and she pulled her head close to his. TOP didn't do anything because even he felt like he was trapped. The fear was as good as gone with Yoobin beside him, holding onto him.
The ride ended and TOP gave a nudge at Yoobin. "It's over," TOP whispered and Yoobin looked up. She realized what kind of situation she was in and let go.
"I t-t-told you I could ha-handle it-t," Yoobin stuttered as she spoke. They were free to go and as TOP stood up, he looked back at Yoobin who stayed glued to the seat.
"Yah! Let's go!" TOP shouted and Yoobin nodded. She tried to get up but failed miserably. TOP reached out his hand and Yoobin looked at it and back at him with confused eyes. "I'll help you, come on they're waiting."
Yoobin refused to but she just couldn't bring herself to get up. She gave up and took his hand and got up. "T...thank you," she whispered but TOP didn't seem to hear it.
"See, that ride wasn't so bad. I knew you were lying to me, pretending to like it and all," TOP laughed and looked at Yoobin's terrified face. She was silent. "Yah, are you okay?"
Yoobin looked around and spotted Taeyang. "I think you should ask him," she said and pointed to him. He wasn't able to walk straight and looked like he was ready to vomit. The two walked towards him and asked if he was alright and he slowly shook his head.
"I need to go to the bathroom. I'll meet you at the center area," he said and quickly left. TOP laughed as he watched Taeyang walk away.
"It's not nice to laugh at him," Yoobin said to TOP and started to walk. "Good thing I didn't eat," Yoobin muttered under her breath but with TOP's acute hearing, he heard everything.
"You didn't eat yet?" TOP asked and Yoobin denied it. But her stomach agreed, and of course TOP heard her stomach's grumble. "Let's go eat."
"Wait, what about Taeyang?"
"He's a big man, he can handle himself. Unlike you, let's go." TOP grabbed Yoobin's HAND and dragged her towards a food shop. He turned to Yoobin who was looking at the menu. "What do you want?"
"Hmmm," Yoobin said as she tried to think of what was good to eat.
"Hi there, what would you like to order today?" The cashier asked with a bright smile.
"We're still picking," TOP said. There was no one behind them so they had lots of time to pick.
"How about our special Couples' Meal?" She suggested. "It comes with two cheeseburgers, two drinks, ice cream, and free matching bracelets sponsored by our park. It's only for couples like you."
TOP was about to say no and that they weren't a couple when Yoobin said yes. The cashier checked it in and received their meal in a few minutes. Yoobin grabbed it and sat a wooden table at the side.
"Yah, why'd you say yes? Now she thinks we're a couple," TOP asked, a little bit 'annoyed'. Yoobin took a huge bite and had to chew it slowly before answering. After she swallowed, she took a drink and looked up at TOP.
"This looked better than those other food they have. We can't get this unless we pretend to be a couple you know," Yoobin said and took a nother big bite. TOP rolled his eyes, forgetting that he was actually expecting something from this food-lover girl. He took his burger and started to eat as well. She finished her food with a good burp and TOP glared at her.
"Sorry..." she said. "Oh, are you going to finish your ice cream?"
TOP looked at the ice cream cup he had and shook his head. "Thanks," she said. She licked the ice cream when she notice TOP suddenly laughing. "What?" She asked. Everyone looked at TOP who just couldn't stop laughing.
"You...have ice cream...here," he said and pointed under her lips. She tried to wipe it off but failed. TOP grabbed another napkin and had to wipe it, making Yoobin suddenly quiet and feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Thank... you..." she said shyly and put the cup down. She decided to drink instead as TOP continued to smile at her. 'What is he thinking,' she thought. If only she knew. When TOP finished, it was time for them to meet Taeyang who was probably done his job in the washroom.
"Where's Taeyang?" asked TOP. He shuffled around as they walked back to where they were supposed to meet when he saw a girl crying at the side. He wouldn't have cared if it was any other girl but it wasn't. It was his ex-girlfriend that he had hurt on her twenty-third birthday. Hyori. "Hyori?"
"Huh?" Yoobin asked and watched TOP run up to a girl at the side with her hair a bit messy and looked like she's been crying for a while. She followed him and found out that it was HER.
"Hyori-ah...why are you here, and why are you crying?" TOP questioned with a concerned tone.
"It's none of your business," she replied and sniffled as she tried to brush the tears away but they kept coming.
"Tell me what's wrong. I'm right here," TOP said and sat right beside her, holding her by her shoulders. Hyori shook her head and refused to speak to him as she cried. Yoobin stood at the side as she watched this scene. "Hyori, tell me." TOP really looked concerned and worried for her. He leaned her head against his shoulder and Hyori hugged him back. Yoobin's eyes widened as she witnessed it while TOP looked up at her.
"Yoobin, I'm sorry, I have to go. I can't let Hyori be by herself like this," TOP said and stood up with Hyori in his arms. "Have fun with Taeyang, okay?"
TOP walked away with Hyori still crying, wetting TOP's shirt. Yoobin stayed where she was, watching TOP's back and the same arm she held onto now holding tightly onto Hyori's shoulder, comforting her.
