“I got it, I’m here,” Yoobin said and put her old canvas shoes on. She took her sandwich and stuffed it in her mouth and shut the door. She was about to walk away when Sunye reminded her to lock the door.
“You’re so clumsy today,” her friend said and ran through the halls, hoping they wouldn’t miss the bus to the studio. Just as they reached the bus stop, the bus left, but thanks to Yoobin’s running skills, she was able to get the bus to wait for them.
They huffed as they sat at the empty seats at the front.
“Thanks to my skills,” Yoobin said. She took a bite out of her sandwich and shoved the rest into her mouth moments later. Her hands reached into her bag and took out her comb.
“Seriously, why don’t you wake up earlier?” Sunye complained. She helped Yoobin with her hair and they were done just in time at their stop.

“Happy birthday, unni!” Sunye called out as soon as she saw Hyori at the dressing room. Hyori thanked her and pecked her at the cheek.
“Sunye, I thought I told you, Hyori is fine,” she said, slightly embarrassed that she was 23.
“Aish, Hyori, there’s nothing embarrassing about being 23!” Sunye replied and Yoobin nodded in agreement. They giggled as they teased Hyori about her new age.
“Well, let’s get going to the rehearsal room. The performance is in a few days,” Hyori said and they all trotted down to a room filled with mirrors. This was the room they usually came in to rehearse dances and other performances. Today, they weren’t going to use the stage.
The three girls stretched before rehearsing, when Hyori remembered something.
“Ah, I forgot to get the new CD I wanted to show you guys today!” Hyori said, and pouted at the thought. “I’ll get it, okay? Just wait.”
As Hyori was about to run off to her dressing room, the choreographer told her to stop. “Hyori, you’re rehearsing first. It can wait, right?”
Hyori sighed and nodded, although her expression really showed how much she wanted to show Sunye and Yoobin her CD. Her head suddenly shot at Yoobin’s direction.
“Yoobin, Sunye said you were a fast runner, can’t you get the CD?” She suggested, and Yoobin pointed at herself. “Please, it’s important. I wanted to show you my precious birthday present from my manager. Please?”
Yoobin didn’t know what to say when Sunye nudged her. “Go on,” Sunye whispered and Yoobin nodded. She ran out of the room and ran as fast as she could towards Hyori’s dressing room, and she was lucky enough to avoid hitting other people.
She stopped exactly right in front of a door that said “trainees”. Hyori shared the same dressing room so there was no reason she’d get lost, now the only obstacle was to find the CD in one of her many bags. She started by digging in through her bag, when she felt footsteps slowly approaching her.
Her heart started to beat, not knowing who the person was behind her. It must be Hyori, she thought to herself. The footsteps got closer when she felt someone’s warm hands cover her eyes.
“Guess who,” the guy said in a deep and low voice. His voice was perfect in Yoobin’s dream guy, but she wasn’t planning on guessing who this mystery man was. Other than her dad, she never had a guy this close before.
She spun around and was about to say something when he suddenly kissed her. It wasn’t any of those normal kisses. This kiss was passionate, and felt romantic, if there were any romance going on between Yoobin and this stranger.
Yoobin’s eyes were wide, startled by the kiss. She wanted to retort, or to fight back, but she felt numb and hot all over. This guy was so into it, his eyes were closed to! And not just that, Yoobin was very sure this guy didn’t know her.
When the strong kiss ended, a gasp came from the front door.
“TOP!” It was Hyori’s voice that ended the awkward silence and the guy suddenly looked at Hyori and back at Yoobin.
Hyori stomped towards TOP and slapped him across the face, making a loud sound. There was ringing in TOP’s ear and he looked at her, shocked.
“How could you? On my birthday, too? And Yoobin…” Hyori started, and she was soon crying. She ran out of the room in a flash, her sobbing still echoing in the halls.
“What…the…” TOP said, and he looked at Yoobin once again. “You…who are you?!”
Yoobin stared at him in disbelief and scoffed.
“Hey, I’m the victim here! You were the one who kissed me. I don’t even know you!” She shouted back, refusing to be the partner in crime.
“You…what were you doing in Hyori’s seat? Aish! I can’t believe this! You ruined it. My whole plan!” TOP retorted, and that’s when Yoobin noticed the flowers that lay on the other table. It must’ve been from him since it said ‘Happy Birthday, Hyori! <3 my love.’ Yoobin shook her head, trying to not feel guilty. It wasn’t her that had kissed the boyfriend, it was the boyfriend that kissed her. It would be TOP’s fault.
“Aish! It’s not my fault. You’re the one who kissed me. Honestly, who goes around kissing other girls that they don’t even know?” She yelled, and they soon attracted people to gather around the room. TOP’s face was filled with anger, and he held his fists back.
“You know what, it’s your fault! Who told you to look like Hyori from behind? And why were you at her seat? And I was kissing Hyori in my mind, not some ugly girl like you!” He shouted back as he got into Yoobin’s personal space. She shoved him back and gathered up some courage so she could shout back.
“Well, it’s not my fault I look like your girlfriend from behind! And it’s also not my fault that you have very bad eyesight! Who would mistake another girl as their girlfriend? Also, you were the one who kissed ever so passionately, and didn’t bother to look at who you were kissing first!” She said, and shivered in disgust when she remembered the kiss.
“Oh, so you did like the kiss? I bet you want another one, well too bad! My heart is only for Hyori!” He shouted and that ended it. People started to break the argument before it could end up worse, and Sunye started to comfort Yoobin.
TOP gave the kiss to the wrong person. It was just a huge mistake…or was it?
