Daesung shrugged, although he also wanted to know what happened. "Maybe Taeyang-hyung is on a date with her now."
"I want to go on a date, too~" Seung Ri said, pouting. "Why are we left all alone here anyway? Where's Sunye-ssi?"
"I don't know. Maybe we should go," Daesung replied and stood up. "Let's go, maknae."
Seung Ri nodded and after paying the bill, the two headed out the door. "Maybe we should call hyung."
Daesung gave him a weird look. "What are you talking about? Taeyang-hyung? You might interrupt something."
Seung Ri stopped in front of the restaurant entrance. He shook his head. "I don't know... I'm not feeling good about something."
"Well, why don't we wait --" Daesung began when his eyes grew wide, seeing Yoobin and TOP walk towards them, hand in hand. "Hyung... Yoobin-ssi..."
Seung Ri looked at Daesung and gulped. From the look of things, it was obvious that Taeyang's plan didn't go well. "Where's Taeyang-hyung?"
TOP looked at them, worried. "What do you mean? He's not with you? Didn't he come back here?"
They both shook their heads. Yoobin looked around, waiting to see if Sunye was there too.
"Did Sunye leave?" she asked and they shrugged.
"She left for a while but she never actually said she was leaving. She looked like she wasn't feeling good but I'm sure she would have said something before leaving."
"But it has been a while after all..."
"Where did the two of them go?"
"I'll call Taeyang," TOP said grabbing his phone when Seung Ri stopped him.
"Hyung, I don't think it's a good idea for YOU to call him. We'll call him instead," he said and looked over at Yoobin who was dialing Sunye's number. TOP understood and nodded.

Sunye looked at her phone and closed her eyes, holding tightly on to it and feeling the vibration in her shaking fingers. She looked to her right, where Taeyang lay still on her bed. She sighed and looked back at her display, showing Yoobin's name on it.
"Yoobin-ah... I can't talk to you yet, I'm afraid I'll let my anger get in between us," she whispered, knowing that she might start shouting at her best friend. "Taeyang-ah..."
Unintentionally, her tears started to flow again. She was reaching for his face but stopped just before the tip of her fingers could feel his smooth skin.

"She's not answering," Yoobin said, after calling her multiple times. "Do you think something happened?"
Jiyong came from around the corner when he received the call from TOP. "What's going on here?"
"Hyung!" Seung Ri called out. "Both Sunye-ssi and Taeyang-hyung are missing."
Jiyong sighed. He was the most observant one out of all them and he has noticed how Sunye feels for Taeyang. He tried to make a connection between their loss. "Maybe... maybe they're together."
All eyes were on him, as if what he was saying was impossible. Jiyong looked back at them. "Seeing as how it is now, Taeyang may have seen you two together and couldn't stand it. And Sunye may be with him to comfort him."
"Sunye? She would call me!" Yoobin countered. Jiyong slowly shook his head.
"I think she's afraid that if she talks to you, she'll end up getting into a fight with you." Yoobin still didn't understand.
"Yoobin-ssi, Sunye doesn't like the fact that you hurt Taeyang," Jiyong finally said. Yoobin stayed quiet. "She likes Taeyang."
Yoobin looked up, surprised. She first thought that too but it didn't seem likely after a while. "How...how could I not notice?" she said in a quiet voice. "My own best friend, I couldn't notice that she likes the guy that I was trying to be with?"
TOP held onto her tightly, to try and comfort her. But Yoobin shook her head, releasing herself. "TOP, did I hurt Taeyang? And if I hurt Taeyang, that means I hurt Sunye, too. How could I? What kind of a friend am I?"
She was starting to panic and blame herself. TOP held her tightly, repeating over and over for her to calm down. "Relax, Yoobin. We don't know for sure what's happening yet, just calm down. We'll get through this together."

"Noona~" Wonbin said and rushed to the door when he saw Yoobin walk inside. He grinned sneakily at TOP when he saw her come in, holding his presents for her. But Yoobin put on a fake smile at Wonbin, which he could easily see through. "Oh, yeah, noona, Sunye-noona called."
Yoobin stopped taking off her shoes and looked at Wonbin. "What did she say?"
"Oh, she said she felt a bit sick so she couldn't call you. And she said she didn't want you to worry," he said. Then Yoobin quickly put her shoes back on. "Wait noona!"
Yoobin looked back and waited. "What is it?"
"She also told me that you shouldn't visit her..."
"Why?"
"Well she didn't tell me a reason why. She just said if you did come, it might ruin the friendship you two have, or something like that. And I think she also added that she'll talk to you when she's not sick anymore. That's all," he said and grinned at TOP, who smiled back. "I'll go upstairs now."
TOP and Yoobin were left alone, and Yoobin was hesitating if she should go see how Sunye was.
"Yoobin, maybe you should listen to Wonbin first. Wait for Sunye to call you herself before bursting in her house worrying about her. I'm sure she wouldn't want you to be very worried." Yoobin nodded and took off her shoes again, walking to the living room. She sighed heavily, feeling like it's been a long day.
"You're not happy?" TOP asked and she slowly shook her head with a slight smile.
"Of course I am, but I can't help but be worried with Taeyang and Sunye."
TOP sat beside her, bringing the teddy bear, then just like a puppet, he started talking for it. "Don't be sad, Yoobin. I'll give you a kiss to make you feel better," the "bear" said to her. She smiled and nodded. The teddy bear pecked her on the lips.
"Thank you, Mr. Bear," she said. TOP smiled and made the teddy bear nod. Then, he leaned closer to her and kissed her tenderly, lasting for a few seconds.
"Yoobin-ah, I don't want you to be sad, and I'm sure that's not what Taeyang or Sunye wants either," TOP said. He finally received a real big smile from Yoobin.
"Thank you, TOP."
He nodded and held her hand. "I should get going so you could get some rest. Maybe I surprised you too much."
"I'll see you soon."
TOP smiled, "Of course, we need to go on our first official date together."

Taeyang's eyes flickered open, and he looked around, wondering where he was. He tried to get up and felt a bit dizzy. It was as if he was drunk. He realized that the room he was in was a girl's because of the neatness and how it was arranged. He looked beside the bed and found a nighttable, with a picture of Sunye in her dazzling mode.
"Sunye?" he wondered and grabbed the picture, finding something special in Sunye's smile. The date beside it didn't seem too long ago. It was bright outside and after he put the picture back, he walked around, having the plan to leave when he saw Sunye on the sofa, asleep. He walked towards her and found himself staring.
Sunye looked like an angel while she was asleep. Taeyang smiled and was about to leave when he heard her mumble some stuff. 'Should I leave now?' he wondered, starting to feel a bit of worry. He looked back at her and found a tear drop on Sunye's face, streaming down.
He kneeled beside her and wiped it away, as if his body had its own mind. "Sunye..."
He started wondering why he was in her house in the first place and tried to remember what happened yesterday, if he somehow got drunk. But that wasn't the case. Everything came rushing back to him. "Yoobin..." he whispered, feeling his chest tighten. He fell back, remembering the scene over and over again, and it was as if he couldn't breathe. Sunye opened her eyes slowly and found Taeyang in front of her, seeing him in pain again.
"Taeyang-ah!" she shouted and quickly went beside him, seeing what he could do. She was able to calm him down in a few seconds, but she couldn't stop the tears that came from his already swollen eyes. She didn't want the same scene as from the alley to happen again. This time, Taeyang was in his right mind.
"I'm sorry, Sunye...I'm letting you see this embarrassing side of me. It's not very attractive is it," he said, trying to smile. Sunye shook her head.
"Don't cry, that's all I ask," she said and he looked at her eyes.
"You're the one who looks like you're about to cry."
"You're in pain..."
"Your eyes show more pain," he said and wiped away the tears that build up on her cheeks. "Why are you so hurt?"
He was slowly pushing his own pain aside as he looked at Sunye, feeling a certain ache just looking at her eyes.
"A girl shouldn't cry," he said and leaned closer, about to kiss her like he always had with the past girl but he stopped himself, remembering that Sunye is different. She was the friend of the girl he loved. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry," he said, knowing how the pain felt like.
He stood up, about to leave when Sunye said, "Are you going back to her?"
He stopped at his tracks and stared at Sunye. "Are you going back to Yoobin?" she asked again.
"How could I... she's happy with TOP," he said. He was feeling numb all over again but he saw Sunye's condition getting worse. "Sunye, tell me what's wrong? Why are you in so much pain? Did something happen? Did I do something?"
She shook her head. "Please... just don't hurt yourself."
His eyes widened at what she said. He was very familiar with girls' feelings, knowing what every line meant. What Sunye had said had a special meaning. It meant that when they were in pain, the other was also in pain. Their feelings were tied.
"Sunye... do you..." he said, unable to finish.
Sunye couldn't hide it anymore. "I like you, Taeyang."

`one week later ...
"Sunye-ah!" Yoobin called out to her best friend that she wasn't in contact with for the last week. Sunye shyly waved at her while Yoobin ran towards her, hugging her tightly. When she finally released her, Yoobin smiled. "It's been so long!"
Sunye smiled slightly. "It's only been a week."
"Well, all that matters now is we're together. But... what happened to you? Do you know how worried I was?" Sunye nodded, remembering the many calls she received from her but ignored every single one because her anger and frustration was still there.
"I'm sorry for not calling you or talking to you directly, I really didn't seem like I could talk to you properly at the time." Yoobin shook her head.
"It's okay! As long as everything is back to normal, right?" Yoobin said but Sunye's face showed a sad expression. Then Yoobin finally remembered what had happened last time.
"Sunye-ah... about last week... you know, when Tae--"
"I saw him," Sunye said simply, looking down at her shoes instead of at Yoobin. She was afraid Yoobin would see her pitiful face as she described what had happened. "I'll tell you, but first, let's walk around for a bit."
Yoobin was confused but agreed anyway.
As they started to walk around the busy streets, Sunye and Yoobin finally decided to stay at a bubble tea cafe nearby and talk quietly there. After ordering, Sunye took a deep breath.
"I'll tell you everything, Yoobin," she said, taking another sip from her drink. She still didn't make any eye contact with Yoobin. "That night... Taeyang was supposed to confess to you, right?"
Yoobin nodded and found her grip on her drink tighten. Just the thought of his pain hurt her, but it wasn't anything compared to the pain Sunye felt watching him cry.
"I'm guessing something went wrong," Sunye continued, still looking around, all except Yoobin. "Because as I decided to leave, I heard a cry from the dark alley by the restaurant."
Yoobin's eyes widened and she looked intently at Sunye's face that she tried to cover with her hair but Yoobin knew her well. She knew that she was trying to keep the tears back.
"Taeyang... was it him in the alley?" Yoobin asked, almost in a hushed whisper. Sunye nodded slowly, with Yoobin noticing her hands start to shake a bit.
"He was in a terrible condition, Yoobin. He was worse than a lost child, he was in pain that seemed so agonizing just to watch." Tears rolled down Sunye's red cheeks as she remembered Taeyang's hurt scene. "Yoobin, the pain he felt was too much. It seemed so unbearable to watch..."
"...but you were with him, weren't you, Sunye?" Yoobin asked, more for a confirmation than a question. Yoobin felt like she was about to cry, too, but there was no need for two girls to cry at a bubble tea cafe.
"I was. I was with him, wiping his tears away in the same alley, supporting him in my arms, but all of it was useless. Even when I took him back to my house for a place to rest, it was still useless..." Sunye finally looked into Yoobin's eyes. Yoobin felt a sudden strength beneath Sunye's shining dark brown eyes. "He still called for you. As he cried liters and liters of tears, he called for you. As he lay on my bed, he called after you, as if you were disappearing even in his dreams. And even when his head was clear and he understood... he still chose you."
Yoobin couldn't help but look away from Sunye's eyes that seemed to trap her. Her words made herself feel guilty, that it was her fault that not only was Taeyang miserable, but also Sunye. Yoobin felt dreadful, like she was the cause of everything.
"I'm sorry..." Yoobin said quietly, and Sunye almost missed it. "I'm sorry," she said repeatedly, getting quieter every time and her tears dropping.
"Yoobin-ah..." Sunye said and gathered her attention. "Don't cry. I wasn't here to make you feel guilty, to blame you, to hurt you. I was here to let you know the truth so that we could handle this situation the right way, but if you cry, I won't know what to do."
"Sunye... I don't deserve to be your friend. I've hurt not only the guy who loved me very much, but also my best friend! What kind of friend am I?" Sunye reached for her hand and squeezed it.
"Yoobin, I want you to be happy. As your friend, I can't allow you to cry because of the pain I'm feeling. I want you to be happy."
"How could I be happy when I know that you're --"
"I was rejected." Yoobin stopped and looked at Sunye's eyes stare outside the window as if someone significant was standing there. "He apologized to me so many times probably because at that moment, he knew what it felt like to not have the person you love, love you back. He kept apologizing and I kept crying. It hurts."
Yoobin was going to say something but stopped herself. Sunye wasn't finished yet.
"He hugged me, the same way I hugged him when I wanted him to stop crying. In my ears, he whispered, 'Pretty girls shouldn't cry.' But I didn't care, I cried my heart out. And then he took out something from his pocket and wrapped it around my neck. It was a necklace with a heart shaped stone, with the word WISH in the center."
"Wish?" Yoobin asked. Sunye nodded and smiled a little.
"He said that when he was little, he made a wish to be loved by someone wholeheartedly because he's never felt that way before, not when his parents seemed to only love each other and have no time for him. His goal as a player was to find someone who could love him, but he ended up loving someone else. And after giving it to me, he was getting ready to leave. He turned around once more and said, 'Thank you,' with a bright smile. I was amazed, Yoobin. That he was able to smile after getting hurt. I want to be like that, too. I want to be strong."
Sunye turned back to her and smiled brightly, just like her usual smile.
"I just wanted to let you know, that I want to chase after my love. I want to try, as hard as Taeyang tried to make his love successful with you," she said.
Yoobin blinked a few times, a bit shocked by Sunye's determination. "Sunye-ah..."
"Taeyang left for a little vacation and since we're going to debut soon, I can't just leave the group SUNNY. I'll work REALLY hard for this debut and I'll catch up to him. I wanted to clear it up with you, and ask for your guidance," Sunye said and smiled at her with cheerfulness, "You're my best friend after all."

A/N: i thnk i made a lot of mistakes in this one ... `cause i kindaa rushed through it =P
but i still tried my best :D
yeah , so i haven't updated in a long while evn though i said i would , but now i did !
i thnk i'm about to wrap up the story and make the ending come close & this chapter is kindaa ... not what i expected
