"Yoobin!" Sunye hissed. When there was no response, Sunye decided to take it the hard way. Pinch Yoobin's cheeks.
As she pinched her cheeks hard, Yoobin finally screamed in pain.
"AISH! Sunye, that hurt!" Yoobin yelled as she rubbed her soft, red cheeks. She pouted and Sunye cooed, calling her "kweeyopdah [i thnk that means cute~]" and for a second, Yoobin thought he coughed in a way that he was agreeing but it must have been her imagination.
"Come on, let's get back to the plan. So, Seung Ri, Dae Sung, TOP, and Jiyong, this is Yoobin and Sunye. So, your first collaboration performances will be held about a month from now," she explained as she looked through some files.
"A month? Isn't that kind of a long time?" Seung Ri said. He was the type of person that didn't believe in the "patience is a virtue" saying. For him, "time is gold", and his hyung, Jiyong agreed completely.
"Seung Ri, didn't you know? This isn't going to be some puny live performance, it's the real deal, promoting you before you debut. And together adds onto the popularity, right?" She handed out a sheet to everyone.
"What? All of us have to attend Seoul Fine Arts University? But I'm still in high school!" Seung Ri complained, and so did Dae Sung.
"Please, you guys just don't wanna be away from your girlfriends," Jiyong said as he messaged someone in his phone. Sunye looked disappointed, hearing that they had girlfriends, and looking at Jiyong who was blushing as he paid attention to his phone, it was probably a girlfriend, too. TOP was obviously heart-broken at the moment. This meant that Sunye doesn't have a chance to find love with her "co-trainees".
"All of you will be put into different classes, along with professional artists." The vice-president pointed to the top part of the sheet where it listed different names. "I guess all of you can read that."
It was quiet as the trainees read through the sheets when there was a sudden outburst from Jiyong.
"What? I have to be put in a class with these random people I don't even know? Can't we stay with the classes we have now?" Jiyong complained, groaning when she nodded. He glanced at Yoobin who was in the same class as he.
"Who's complaining now? Jeez, because you can't be with your girlfriend, either," Seung Ri muttered and Jiyong glared at him.
"It's part of the debuting plan. We're splitting you according to your learning schedules and what grade level you're at."
"Wow, I'm in the same class as two girls from Wonderfuls? Sunmi and Yeeun? This is totally cool!" Sunye said, remembering that Wonderfuls is one of her favorite girl groups.
"I'm with you, Seung Ri!" Dae Sung shouted, and they quickly hugged each other. "OH, EM, JEE! It's So Hee! She's in our class!"
Seung Ri looked at him as swift as a fox. "No way! She's like my idol!"
They jumped up and down like fanBOYS when TOP and Jiyong gave them an awkward stare. Slowly, they looked back at their sheets.
"There's other people in mine that I don't know. Like Taeyang, Alex, Kibum...are they famous?" Sunye asked and all the guys nodded their heads. She needed to get more information on the entertainment business, especially since she was in it.
"Anyway, Yoobin! Who's class are you in...oh." Sunye stared at Yoobin's extra shocked face, which was at level two. By the cruelty of fate, it put Yoobin and TOP in the same class, and somehow, Hyori had to be in it. This is going to be an awkward class, Sunye thought as she stared at Yoobin's now-expressionless face.
The vice-president handed other sheets to them. "Okay, so review these other papers, they are essential to your debut. We'll talk more about it. Oh, and by the way, you guys will be starting to go to Seoul Fine Arts University in your assigned classes tomorrow. Meet Mr. Kang at the main entrance and he will explain everything."
When that was all over, the vice-president walked back inside the building, leaving the trainees alone awkwardly.
"Okay, then. How am I suppose to tell this to my girlfriend?" Seung Ri said and Dae Sung patted his back.
"I'm with you there, maknae," he said. They both stared at the ground, stressing over things they can't control.
"Aish! You guys aren't the only ones in trouble. My girlfriend will have jealousy issues if she finds out I'm in the same class as good-looking and famous girls, and she'll think I'm ditching her," Jiyong said, shaking his head. He thought everything would go fine since he already attended the university, but he didn't expect to have to change classes just for the sake of "stardom".
"You and your girlfriends," muttered TOP and walked away as he put back his Louis Vuitton sunglasses.
"What's with him?" Dae Sung asked and quickly covered his mouth when he remembered the incident.
"Geez, Dae Sung, be a little more sensitive. She accidentally kissed this other girl. I heard she purposely did that so she could steal Hyori-nuna's boyfriend! Girls, always trying to steal some guy," Seung Ri said when Yoobin suddenly tapped him on the shoulder. He looked over to see a fuming Yoobin with an angry expression on her face.
"For your information, he kissed me! He was practically kissing this random girl that he didn't bother to check if it was his girlfriend first. And I couldn't do anything...because! He was just a jerk." Yoobin said and stomped away towards the bus.
Sunye stayed and whispered something to them. "Sorry about her, she's just OA [over acting] sometimes. Hopefully they'll get better!"
She waved goodbye and followed Yoobin after they waved back.
"Yoobin, can you believe that we're going to debut as SUNNY really soon?" Sunye said, realizing that her dream is slowly but surely coming true. She stared at the sky she had always dreamed to reach.
"I like the idea of that, but I seriously did not expect something like him to be working with us. It's such a killjoy." Yoobin walked faster, hoping not to talk any further about the topic, but Sunye didn't seem to get the message.
"But can you believe how we all have to go to the same school and go on the same big performance? It's so...unbelievable! Like a dream!" Sunye shouted and skipped all the way to the bus stop. Yoobin sometimes wished she had Sunye's optimistic characteristic, always thinking positive and looking ahead. Yoobin always gets so caught up in what happened in the past, maybe it would be a great change if she tried and looked forward.
"Yeah...like a dream. Maybe I will look at the sky, like you, Sunye. For a moment there, I was actually looking forward for tomorrow...it felt weird," Yoobin said while awkwardly smiling. It felt like time stood still at that split second, when Yoobin imagined herself in a dream and everything so perfect, exactly where they should be.
Sunye smiled, and skipped along with the relaxed Yoobin on the way home. Maybe they'll walk home today. Or better yet, skip home.
