Not to mention, the family is kinda shock because Mao’s photo appeared on the media, along with Haruma and Sho. But after Maki explained about what happened to clear the story about her little brother, Mao’s parents aren’t that upset anymore.
And thankfully, there’s also Yamapi around Mao, who’s always do his job beautifully, like how he also explained about what’s on the magazine, and also make Mao’s mother even said, ‘’ah, that rascal Haruma, who would have thought that he will get rumored with his own cousin?’’ and everyone’s laugh.
So that’s how Yamapi always be there, just to lift Mao’s mood and also try to make everything easier for her.
But he still doesn’t know that actually, all of Mao’s family members, except maybe Satoshi who’s still in L.A –and Mao herself, knew about his true identity.

On one of those days,
‘’Yamashita-kun, it seems that my daughter wants to go to the beach, can you take her to Kujukuuri?’’ Mao’s mother told him.
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood).’’
So then Pi drove the car to take Mao to the beach that not too far from Tokyo, and she took her sister Takako along with them.
Maybe because she missed her time on L.A, Mao just ran to the water as soon as they arrived. Takako just laughs at her sister.
‘’ah.. Ojousama, Ojousama?! Please.. take care of your injured-‘’ Pi walked out from the car in a hurry and cupped both of his hand on his face to make his voice louder.
‘’I know!’’ Mao shouted.
‘’and.. and here’s your jacket!’’ Pi ran to her as Takako even laughs louder behind them.
‘’moouu~ what the hell are you doing?’’ Mao yanked the jacket.
‘’there’s so many guys around, Ojousama.’’ Pi said innocently. Well, those guys around are actually staring at them because of Pi’s loud shout earlier.
‘’so?’’ Mao put her hand on the waist.
‘’ah,’’ Pi turned to Takako, ‘’and you too, Takako-sama.. please wear the jacket..’’
‘’WHAT?’’ both of the sisters exclaimed. Of course, Takako just smiled and say, ‘’as im Jin’s fiancée, there’s no guys would have the courage to mess up with me.’’ and she just walked to the water with bikini in grace.
Although to Mao, she turned and say, ‘’Bebe.. just be a good girl and listen to your guardian.’’ Takako doesn’t forget to suppress the word ‘guardian’.
‘’but-‘’ Mao frowned so then her sister just tossed a short blue kaftan dress to Mao, ‘’oh, for God’s sake, just wear this.’’ as she laughs.
Mao pouted but she obeyed. So Takako just winked playfully to Pi. Then he replied by showing his thumb secretly to his future sister-in-law.
Pi just continued to watch the sister from afar while he got a call from Kame.
‘’where are you?’’ Kamenahi asked.
‘’Kujukuuri beach, why?’’
‘’your mother asked me when you will come home.’’
As he took a cigarette, Pi replied, ‘’I cant, this week.. Ojousama’s not really in a good shape.’’
‘’since when did you care?’’ Kame laughs.
‘’since I realized that Im not more than just a liar in front of her.’’ but then Pi changed the topic, ‘’tell me, why did you call me?’’
Kame sighed, ‘’it seems that you already forgot about what you ordered me back then.’’
‘’what is it?’’
‘’Park Hae Jin-san? Did you still remember that you ask me to be a profiler? Sorry, I’ve been so busy in your father’s office, but now I got all even to the newest issues.’’
‘’ah.. him. what about him?’’ Pi chuckled, ‘’I really forget about that man.’’
‘’Park Hae Jin, 26 years old, son of the owner of a big trading company in Seoul. Study in L.A for the past 5 years, and will get hitch with the heir lady from one of the biggest business tycoon in South Korea.’’
‘’.. so, he’s really gonna-‘’
‘’yes, from what I got, the business merger has reach the deal as the two family will be united because of the marriage, which the wedding will be held on..’’ Kame paused for a while, maybe he read something first, ‘’ next week.’’
Pi laughs cynically, ‘’what a great news you gave me, turtle.’’

Then there’s another day,
‘’Yamashita-san, Mao-chan wants to go with my son, can you take them to Toys R Us or something?’’ Hideaki’s wife asked him.
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood).’’
Then Pi took his Ojousama and little Naoki to Minato-ku. He can see from the rearview mirror, that both of the young auntie and the nephew are enjoying their time through the drive. They laugh as they kept tickling or teasing each other. Pi smiled secretly as he saw it from the driver seat.
But his expression changed about 4 hours later, when Mao and Naoki-chan, walking hand-in-hand happily, while he walked behind them in difficulty with 6 big plastic bags of toys in his hands.

Then on the other day,
Yamapi went into Mao’s father’s office. The middle-aged man was talking with some of his staff.
‘’Sir..’’ Pi bowed as he went inside the room.
‘’ah.. Yamashita-kun.’’ Inoue-san smiled,’’You see, tonight there’s a celebration party of an important colleagues of mine, and I need you to guard my daughter, as usual..’’
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood).’’
‘’but this time, I asked you more specifically because there’s so many spoiled kid that I don’t want to go near my baby daughter.’’
‘’yes?’’
‘’well.. those the sons of my colleagues and partners.. if you knew what I mean.’’
Then Pi nodded, and Hideaki, who’s just come into the room even added, ‘’my sister seems so loose and too easy-going somehow, so you better keep your eyes on her.’’
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood).’’ Although to himself he added, ‘loose and easy-going? Yeah, try to be her bodyguard, and find out that she can be so strict and difficult to reach.’
So the usual ritual pre-party, like shopping for dress, shoes or maybe even clutch bag for Mao, repeated once again. And of course, her one and only bodyguard is following her.
Of course, for Pi, things like these aren’t that awkward to do anymore. He even just following her in a cool attitude when she walked to the lingerie area. He found out that it’s just one of her pranks, to make him lose his cool.
‘who’re you kidding, Mao?’ he said to himself, ‘you don’t think that this future husband of yours will be blush only because of a scenery like this, right?’
That’s what he thought as he just lifted his eyebrows when Mao turned around to see her, ‘’hm?’’
‘’ie (no).’’ Mao shook her head and just walked out from the area.
She turned around once again, and Pi just stuck his tongue playfully. Mao’s puffy cheeks shown that she’s sulking. So when she turned around and continued to walk, Pi just laughs in silence.

But two days ago,
At first, Pi came as the savior –as usual-, when Mao just bailed out from the house, saying that she wants to go with Haruma, but then just stranded by herself in the middle of Shinjuku streets and got many offered from the hosts of clubs there.
Pi ran there after he told Kame to brought up what he got to find this pretty Ojousama. And he finally found her on one club, thankfully, she’s alone, because when Pi walked inside the club, she just told a host to kept away from her.
‘’shoo..’’ Mao waved her hand as then she looked surprised, ‘’uwa~~ look who’s here! Yama-chan!!’’
At first, he thought that she’s drunk, but apparently, she’s not. Her eyes are as steady as they can be when she looked straightly to him.
‘’let’s go home, Ojousama.’’
‘’whyyyy?’’ somehow she acted difficult again. Well, she’s nicer these days and more importantly, she never bailed out anymore, that’s why Pi already guess something’s might happened.
‘’it’s not really a good place for Ojousama.’’ He gave up and sit down on the sofa beside her.
‘’I just wanted to know how’s host club in Tokyo looks like.’’ she said as then she played with her dress and staring at it like a lost child.
‘’really.’’ Pi chuckled then he looked around before he’s staring at her again, ‘’okay, Ojousama.. I think I’ll let you do anything you want this time.’’
‘’are you serious?’’ she bulged her eyes, and shifted closer out of excitement.
‘’you know that I would never lie.. to you.’’ Pi said it but then hesitated on the same second. He knew that all of what he did is just underneath one big lie.
But Mao didn’t realize it as she clapped her hands happily.
‘’okay, then.. come on!’’ as suddenly, Mao grabbed Pi’s arm to drag him out from the big sofa.
‘’e-eh?’’ Pi is still hasn’t recovered from his own complex mind, but then he asked, ‘’don’t you want to stay and see what happen on the host club?’’
Mao looked at him and roll her eyes, ‘’yeah, and then you want a host for yourself too?’’
Pi lifted his eyebrows and exclaimed, ‘’HA??’’
She laughs as a host came and she just took the bills. After that she said to Pi, ‘’yes, im still curious about Tokyo’s host club, but I’ll come back later. Now let’s go to another place to have some drink.’’
‘’l-later? but Ojousama, you’re.. noo, you’re not gonna be back only by yourself!’’
‘’aawww, shut up.’’ Mao continue to walked, ‘’so where’s the car?’’
So just about 15 minutes later,
Pi shook his head while they’re now sitting on a bar, ‘this girl.. she really know how to make me lost my cool. Dammit Grandpa.. why on earth that you gave me a wife like this one??’ he said to himself as then Mao said to him, ‘’ne.. just ordered me Cosmopolitan or something.’’
‘’ah, hai (yes).’’
After that Mao went to the toilet and Pi drowned to his own thoughts, ‘wait.. could it be that.. Grandpa is doing this intentionally? No.. Tomo, don’t be silly. When he first met Mao, she might still just a little kid..’
More and more, Pi is still thinking, until..
‘’so.. what did you order?’’ Mao sat on the high-chair beside her.
‘’w-what?’’ Pi asked back and on the same time, the lady bartender came and asked, ‘’what are you two gorgeous couple wants to drink?’’
Mao just laughs while she looked at Pi a bit intimidating, ‘’so you havent order something for me, honey?’’ as she suppress the ‘honey’ part. Then she just said to the bartender, ‘’give me um.. something mixed with shochu*. Yeah, that would be fine.’’
Pi frowned, ‘’Ojousama?’’
‘’yes?’’ she looked at him, ‘’oh.. you can order anything you want. My treat.’’
And turns out that she was even stronger than himself when it comes to drink. Mao ordered many glasses of beers and also just shochu, yet still she still sober.
Pi, on the other hand, blinked his eyes many times.
‘’Yama-chan, daijoubu (are you okay)?’’
‘’hai hai, mochiron (yes, yes, of course).’’ He nodded although he felt a bit sick.
‘’ma.. ma (well, well)..’’ Mao patted his back firmly as then he just leaned his arm on the table. ‘’before you totally lose your conscious, just give me the car keys.’’
Pi didn’t even refuse, he just put the car keys on the table and he slowly rested as he barely opened his eyes.
Between his conscious, he can hear she’s talking, ‘’really.. im the victim of love’s misery, but why cant I just get drunk and forget everything?’’
‘misery?’ he said to himself, ‘so she knew about Park-san’s wedding.’ and before he totally lost conscious, he gets up and say, ‘’please excuse me Ojousama.’’ Then he walked to the toilet to beat himself up with a cold icy water. He couldn’t face her in this drunken state.
He doesn’t know what happen later, but tonight, he’s still Yamashita Tomohisa, the bodyguard.
Mao turned around when the lady bartender pointed out with a smile, ‘’your handsome lover is back.’’
To hear the bartender’s comment, Mao just smiled politely. While Pi walked back into the bar looking more steadily, she clapped her hands a little, ‘’sasuga (as I expected), Yama-chan.’’
Pi grab the car keys, and say, ‘’so.. ready to go to see the night skyline in Tokyo bay once again?’’
It’s the place where he and Mao went back then on the night Mao left Hae Jin.
She smiled sadly but then she just laughs, ‘’no, Im fine. I think I just wanna go home.’’ then Pi nodded.
So Mao thanked the bartender as she replied, ‘’be good, you two. And drive safely..’’
And with such a consideration, Mao took the keys and willingly to drove the car on their way back home this time. Somehow, they both were thinking the same thing during the ride; that they shared quite many things until now, even to their weak sides.

And today,
Suddenly, Satomi walked out from the pavilion to the car port. There’s Pi’s washing the car.
‘’Yamashita-kun, Madam said that it’s okay for Ojousama to come to the party tonight, as long as you were there with her.’’ The young maid said to Pi.
‘’party?’’ Pi sighed, ‘’again?’’ he said under his breath.
‘’here’s the invitation.’’ Satomi gave him.
Pi wiped his wet hand then take it. A party at one of the hip place in Tokyo. The invitation sent by Haruma, because he felt guilty towards his cousin.
Then Pi had an idea, so he said to Satomi, ‘’hey, you can drive, right? can you help me to put the car into the garage?’’
‘’yes, but.. where do you want to go? Yamashita-kun?’’
‘’oh, and as usual, I trusted you on what I will wear tonight, Satomi-chan!’’ Pi went inside the pavilion to change his clothes before he went somewhere.
Then about an hour later,
Pi went back to the house, and Satomi bulged her eyes. ‘’uwaaa~~ nicee…’’ as she peeked from the window.
He just smiled and then Satomi gave him the suit bag, ‘’here.. I prepared this for you.’’
‘’thank you, you’re always helping your Ojousama, but you’re also making my day easier..’’ Pi thanked her truthfully.
Satomi just smiled back as Pi doesn’t know what’s actually going through between Satomi and Kame because of the family plans, just like how Kame told Satomi the size of Pi’s suit, and how Satomi told Mao’s favorite so then Kame passed it to Shii when she helped her brother chose the phone for Mao.
20 minutes later,
Mao walked out from the room and when she almost reached the back corridor, she startled.
‘’what are you doing?‘’ she stopped.
‘’ah, Ojousama?’’ Pi turned around. Satomi is just walked out from Pi’s room straight to the kitchen. He walked towards Mao, ‘’I thought you wanted to go to the party.. so Satomi just bring this,’’ he looked at the suit he wore,’’ to me earlier.’’
From where she stands now, Mao can see Satomi nodded politely as she’s doing something on the kitchen.
‘’do you still want to go, Ojousama?’’ Pi asked as Mao still looking at the kitchen’s direction.
‘’h-huh?’’ she turned to Pi and he’s waiting for her answer.
‘’you might want to change or clothes, otherwise you can just grab a nice coat and we’re ready to go.’’ then Pi added even before she say anything.
Mao frowned as she realized that she wears a dark pinkish negligee and so she just tighten her robe and bulged her eyes.
Pi actually was kinda startled to see her reaction, who would have thought that the L.A girl is a shy one? Didn’t she usually wear a bikini on the beach?
But then he just shifted his stare and stood there when Mao replied, ‘’just give me 15 minutes.’’
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood).’’ Pi bowed deeply and when he lifted his head, Mao already gone to her room.

‘’impressive.’’ Mao commented with a smile while Pi opened the car door for her after they arrived to the club. She meant was the Acura car that Pi bought –saying that it was his friend’s car, although it’s actually his- to take her to the party tonight.
He just smiled back, ‘’as I said, I might be a bad bodyguard, but I really have a good brain and ability of martial arts.’’ Pi is not really a show off, but he just likes to joke around.
‘’yeah, and good with words, I know..’’ Mao scoffed.
As she walked first, Pi took her coat when they went inside the club.
‘whoa.’ He commented to himself as he looked at her bare back.
Mao turned around so he shifted his stare, she said, ‘’I missed those party in L.A.’’
‘’ah, soudesuka (I see).’’ Pi nodded and as he gave the coat to the keeping room staff, he said, ‘’well then, Ojousama, please enjoy your time with Miura-kun and his colleagues.. I’ll be over there.’’ as he pointed to the bar.
To hear that, Mao was startled. ‘’what? aren’t you come with me-‘’
Pi shook his head, ‘’your parents warned me to be careful with the media. As now they found out about your identity, they might gonna take one or two of your pictures. And it’s unwise if you appeared with your bodyguard.’’
Actually, Mao’s parents didn’t really say anything about that to him, it’s just that.. he finds it a bit uncomfortable if suddenly a picture of him and Mao appeared with some suspicious headline, considering that in the future, their wedding picture might come up because of the two family names.
‘’but-‘’ Mao wanted to talk but he bowed and say, ‘’don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on you, Ojousama.’’ Before he walked to the bar.
She just left alone, standing there. ‘’yes, but I havent told you that Haru-chan couldn’t attend to the party.’’ So then she sighed while walk to the dance floor.

Just need a 5 minutes and Mao actually is dancing casually with a guy. He was nice to offer a dance as he saw Mao was alone in the middle of the party.
But somehow, Mao couldn’t really enjoy this. She just kept looking at the bar, where she spotted her bodyguard, sitting there, giving her his back as he talked to the bartender.
‘what’s with ‘I’ll keep an eye for you, Ojousama?’.. really.’ She said to herself.
Then she just keep on dancing, even got introduced to the friends of the guy that dance with her right now.
And when she looked at Pi again, she snorted, ‘ah, great. Now you have a pretty company.’
From what she saw, her bodyguard is lingering in a conversation with a lean and pretty young lady. Pi laughs and nodded as the girl is talking so close to him, sometimes she whispered to him. Well, it maybe because the music is too loud, or the girl is just wanting to be flirty.
‘’do you want to have some drinks?’’ the guy who dance with Mao suddenly asked, because he caught her staring at the bar.
‘’ah, ie (no).’’ she shook her head.
‘’or.. do you want to find some place so we can be a bit more relax?’’
Mao looked at the guy and just, ‘’h-huh?’’
She heard him, but she cant think properly. The reason is although the scene that she saw at the bar was a bit distracting for her, but above it all, the actual reason why she was uneasy is because even Pi had a really pretty girl beside him and he seems pretty interested on her, is that because Mao finally realized that he’s really a man of his words. The bodyguard never set his eyes away from his Ojousama.

‘’so.. why did you came back from L.A?’’ asked the girl who’s having a conversation with Pi right now.
‘’family stuff.’’ He smiled although he just took a glance at her. It’s not because she’s not attractive, the girl beside him is even too pretty to be ignored. But Pi is just cannot take his eyes from Mao, who’s now dancing with some.. anonymous guy.
‘what the hell she’s thinking? I thought Miura-kun will be here.’ he said to himself.
The girl beside him kept talking, and he still replying, but he also kept staring at Mao and the guy.
As the guy seems too comfortable with his Ojousama, ‘watch your hand.’ he said only to himself, ‘I can make you handicapped with just one punch if your hand gets lower than it is right now.’

Mao sighed again secretly as her body is still dancing, following the music.
‘he might want to have some fun too.’ she tried to understand why her bodyguard seems to enjoying his time with the girl on the bar, although she knew perfectly that Pi’s eyes were still staring at her. To behonest, she felt embarrassed to admit that she actually happy to know Pi is caring for her.
But then she realized something, ‘’hey, what are you doing?’’ she shout out loud.
The guy who’s dancing with her just smiled, ‘’what?’’
She sighed once again, but this time, it’s because she felt upset. Without she noticed it too well, the guy seems touching her on the place that he shouldn’t touch. And this time, she’s not gonna tolerate it anymore.
She kept saying to the guy to stop but he just thought that she pretend to be shy, until..
‘’im sorry, but can you stop bothering her?’’
Mao turned and she never felt this relieved. Pi is holding the guy’s hand in a threatening way.
‘’h-hey, who are you?’’ the guy tried to released his hand but Pi didn’t even move a muscle.
‘’let go of her hand.’’ and he said it instead.
As Pi’s grip got stronger, the guy didn’t have no choice but to release Mao’s arm.
2 seconds after that, the guy just chuckled and looked upset when he left.
‘’Ojousama, are you okay?’’ Pi turned to look at Mao and put his hand on her bare shoulder unconsciously.
Mao actually felt so mixed up. She’s still upset because of that jerk, and also because Pi was once seems so relax with another girl, but.. she also feel so thankful to him right now. But the point is she suddenly feels her heart beats faster because of his stare.
So to hide her nervousness, she yelled at him, ‘’w-why did you let him bothering me? aren’t it suppose to be your job to prevent something like that?’’ Mao turned her head away as then Pi realized that he’s hand is not supposed to be where it is right now.
‘’moshiwake arimasen deshita (im very sorry -formal).’’ He said as he pulled his hand off her shoulder.
‘’I want to go home.’’ she just said it and Pi nodded.
‘’hai, wakarimashita (yes, I understood). Let me take the car first.’’
‘’fine.’’ then she just shifted her stare. But as she felt somewhat alone, Mao called him, ‘’Yama-chan!!’’
‘’yes?’’ He turned around and asked,
She just shook her head, ‘’I’ll go with you.’’

2 days after,
Both Pi and Mao actually cannot sleep really well on the previous nights.
And although men usually felt difficult to express his feeling, Pi at least can slowly admit that he.. felt something different to Mao.
And even Satomi was so startled as she saw what Pi’s doing on the kitchen that noon.
She called Kame as she walk out from the house, ‘’ne.. didn’t you tell me that Hanazawa-kun doesn’t want anyone finds out about his hobby, making some pastries?’’
Kame frowned on the other side of line, ‘’yeah, it’s true.. why?’’
‘’that’s what he does right now, making some bread!’’
There’s a pause as then Kame laughs, ‘’really? Wow.. it seems that Tomo opens himself to Inoue-san more.’’
But Satomi added, ‘’but my Ojousama isnt here, so.. it’s a bit useless, don’t you think?’’
‘’I know, Tomo just told me that your lady isnt at home for today, so he’s free. Ah.. it’s okay. I just gonna think this as a progress..’’
And not long after that, Satomi and Kame ended their call.
Pi is just making some pastries so he can brought it to the Inoue parents for the afternoon tea, right after they back home from a meeting with Akanishi Family.
Because of the Akanishi brought their men –bodyguards-, so Mao’s mother said that Pi doesn’t need to come.
‘well.. sooner or later, Mao will find out my hobby, as she will become my wife.’ Pi smiled to himself as he formed the bread with his hand, ‘besides, what’s so wrong about showing what you like to do to someone you like?’

About 2 hours later, when Pi chatted with Satomi as he’s waiting for the bread that still on the oven, suddenly, Pi got a phone call.
‘’chotto (wait)..’’ he said to Satomi as he frowned to see an unknown caller ID. It’s a Japanese cellphone number.
‘’hai, moshi-mosh (yes, hello).’’ He answered.
‘’TOMOOOOO~~’’ a young lady’s voice with a cherish tone greeted him.
He almost dropped the phone.
‘’Yu-chan??? w-what.. eh, are you in Japan??!’’ he whispered as he walked out from there.
‘’yes! just like what you said, I took a holiday trip to Tokyo with Maggie!’’
Pi actually doesn’t really know what to say, so he’s just, ‘’ah, souka (really)..’’
After a pause, Yu speak up. Her tone is more serious right now, ‘’actually.. after our last conversation on the phone that day.. I feel kinda uneasy with everything.’’
Yeah, the last phone call of them back then, is the last communication they got. And after that, no calls, no emails, not even a short SMS. Maggie also didn’t say anything to Pi.
‘’…and?’’ Pi tried to ask carefully.
‘’and I want to be back like we used to be.. the bestest friend.’’ Yu said after a sigh. And somehow, for Pi it’s not a frustrated sigh, it’s a relief one. He can even imagine that she’s smiling right after that.
Before Pi can say anything, Yu added, ‘’that’s why.. I came here, to spend a couple of days before the summer finally ends.. and also to settle things with you.’’
Pi’s smile formed. Of course, he also missed her laughs as they often do some crazy things together, with their friends or even Yu’s ex-boyfriend.
It doesn’t need more words to understand what Yu really means. Pi knew. Although then Yu said in a smaller voice, ‘’to settle my feelings up.. and then we will become friends forever.’’
He laughs understandable and just say, ‘’so.. why don’t we meet up?’’
‘’eh, really?’’
‘’yeah.. why not? just let me handle things first, and then I’ll call you in this number.’’

‘’what time that Ojousama will be arrive at home?’’ Pi asked Satomi.
‘’around dinner time, I guess.’’
Pi already told Satomi that he wants to go somewhere, so as he wear his coat, he said, ‘’I’ll be home around that time, maybe even earlier.. ah, and just take the bread out from the oven if it’s done.’’

About 3 o’clock,
Pi waved his hand as he saw a beautiful young lady on the corner of the café.
‘’hey, where’s Maggie?’’ he asked when he hugs Yu.
She patted his back and say, ‘’well, she’s going around those shops..’’
Although both of them knew that Maggie might just want to give them some time.
‘’so..’’ they said in unison as then they’re laughing.
‘’you first.’’ Yu said.
Then Pi smiled, ‘’lady’s first?’’
Yu winked playfully, ‘’you’re pretty enough to wear those dress for the school play, remember-‘’
Pi covered her mouth as he said, ‘’shh!! You’re humiliating me! just said it in English then.. for God’s sake, Yu!’’ because there’s a girl behind Yu, and she’s looking at Pi right now.
But after that, Pi and Yu are just laughing.
‘’ah.. don’t you miss days like this? just goofing around and laughing without thinking anything about anything..’’ Pi laughs.
Yu wiped her tears that came out as she laughs, ‘’yeah, of course.. but as we’re grown up, those days seems gonna be some memories away..’’
‘’at least we ever felt like that once..’’ he said.
She just smiled, ‘’we did.. and we will, in the future.. between our days of work, and all of those responsibility..’’
Pi smiled back and somehow, he felt so relieved. Because now he can feel that his relationship with Yu can be so relax like before. Without any unnecessary sentimentality, or uneasy feelings.

Mao went back to the house with the family, then she just walk to the pavilion where she find no one is in there.
‘’ehh.. shizuka naa~ (so quiet)..’’ she said as she looked around for Satomi and Pi but they’re not in the house.
But when she looked at the kitchen table. ‘’pastries?’’ so she walked closer, and just by the scent, ‘’ah! these are the oishii (delicious) pastries!!’’
She actually wants to grab one, but suddenly, she decided to eat it with Pi, just like that day. So she walked around to find him.
Until she reached the front terrace, and just saw..

Pi smiled to both Maggie and Yu, that’s just dropped him by taxi in front of Inoue’s pavilion gate. He said, ‘’thanks girls.. maybe we can see each other again this weekend.’’
‘’of course! At least you have to take me to Tokyo’s beach.’’ Maggie insisted.
‘’hai hai (yes).’’ then Pi walked out from the taxi and Yu followed him.
He tilted his head, then she shook her head, ‘’arigatou ne, Tomo-chan (thanks, Tomo)!’’
Pi laughs, she called him with Tomo-chan again. What a relief. So then he just pulled Yu to give him a friendly hug. ‘’ore mo, arigatou (me too, thanks).’’
Maggie teased them from inside the cab, as she said in Japanese too, ‘’arigatouu~~’’
Pi waved his hand to Maggie before then Yu went inside the taxi and left.
When he turned around, behind the front gate, Satomi smiled at him, she opened the gate for him and say, ‘’the family has just arrived, I think we better go inside.’’
‘’eh? are you waiting here for me?’’ he asked.
Satomi shook her head, she actually was kinda worried that Ojousama will see Kashii-san, because Kame warned her about Pi went to see his childhood friend a.k.a former girlfriend. And to be honest, Satomi never thought that Pi will be that careless to bring the girl here.
‘’it’s just.. I was kinda surprise that your friend dropped you off to the house.’’ Satomi said.
He shrugged, ‘’I have no choice, other way I will be so late.’’
They walked to the house as Satomi asked carefully, ‘’ano.. I didn’t mean to be rude, but.. is that your girlfriend?’’
‘’w-what?’’ then he laughs, ‘’no.. she’s not. why?’’
‘’nothing!’’ Satomi commented so quickly as Pi added with a smile, ‘’she’s.. really my best friend, because there’s another girl that I really like.’’
To hear that, his colleague also smiles. Satomi said, ‘’ah, souka. Naruhodo (I see).’’

Mao ran to the living room before Pi and Satomi finds out that she heard their conversation.
She felt so confused somehow, but she doesn’t really know exactly why.
When she saw Pi walked out from the taxi and then followed by the girl.. she was startled. It’s the girl that she saw the picture on Pi’s email. She’s even more beautiful in the real life. And when they’re hugging, Mao felt more uneasy.
‘I know that I thought I was attracted to Yama-chan.. but.. I never thought that it will be this.. serious. I mean-‘ but she stopped her thought, as she remembered what Pi said to Satomi earlier.
That he got another girl that he likes. He said it with a sincere smile.. at Satomi. Then she smiles back.. sheepishly.
‘Does it means… that they like each other?’ Mao frowned.
But she was shocked by Satomi’s voice behind her, ‘’Ojousama? Ah, im sorry, I didn’t know that you’re already in the pavilion.’’
Mao just shook her head vaguely, ‘’n-no.. it’s okay.’’
‘’look, there’s a nice surprise for you..’’ the young maid walked to the kitchen.
With Mao’s eyes still following Satomi, she sighed, ‘I don’t expect anything from you, Satomi. Just like I also didn’t expect that pretty girl will come here-‘’
As if Satomi can read her mind, she suddenly said, ‘’but it’s not from me..’’
‘’eh?’’
Pi suddenly appeared from his room, he already took his suit off, but he still wear his buttoned shirt. He rolled up his sleeves as he stopped for a while to take something from Satomi. A big plate.
Then he walked closer to Mao as she said to herself, ‘Yabai (dammit).’
‘’I.. uh.. I made these for you, Ojousama.’’ Pi smiled at her, before he added ‘’And I actually made some for Madam and..’’
But Mao didn’t really hear the rest. She just hear her own heartbeat, and her voice talking to herself, ‘it is that serious. Yabai (dammit). My feelings for Yama-chan are THAT serious.’
