[ Kim JaeJoong P.O.V ]

Hmn…what is this warm yet heavy feeling?

My eyes slowly opened to only see everything one the floor blurred.
My arms were outstretched, half of it hung limply off the bedside as my legs curled up slightly.

When my vision became sharp again I saw my bed sheets half falling onto the floor.
And what’s this? A leg? A hairy leg? Even my legs aren’t that hairy!
It has to be that Jung YunHo’s!
But, why does it look…peachy?

I blinked a couple of times, before staring hard at the new leg.
Did I grow another leg when I was sleeping? Impossible.

Then that means…It’s Jung YunHo’s?

Is that why I can actually feel warmth emitting from that leg that was touching against my bare legs? Wait, bare legs? What happened to my pants?!

I jerked slightly, trying to get up, but I was gripped tightly around the waist by strong thick arms as a head snuggled further on the back of my neck, breathing.

This can’t be Jung YunHo.

“Y-Yah! Who are you?” I growled as I tried to pry his hands away, they wouldn’t budge.

The man behind me stirred and let out a few mumbles and groans before pulled his arms away from me. Once I was free of his hold I instantly sat up and twisted around to lay my eyes on Jung YunHo, peach version.

I’m half hoping that my eyes are playing tricks on me.

“Aish, why did you wake me up so early?” YunHo grumbled, “I haven’t slept since birth you know.”

Since when did vampire’s sleep? Why is he sleeping now? Someone explain this skin colour for me!

I watched astounded as he rubbed his eyes with his left arm as he forced himself upwards with his other arm. Upon sliding his arm away he revealed me his half opened natural and warm looking eyes, brown like a human.

“What happened to you?” I questioned, slightly agape as he slid off the bed in nothing but a white tank top and sweat pants.

Last time I saw him he was wearing his stupid black shirt and skinny jeans like any other vampire did. He was actually wearing white, insert a face palm for me here since my arms are too frozen from shock.

“What you mean?” he scratched his head, for the first time in my eyes.

“Y-You’re…peach?!” I pointed at his bare arms.

He looked at both his arms, “And so I am…” he said as if he made some discovery.

“WHY?!”

“It’s my Halloween costume!” he grinned.

I looked at him as if he was more of a freak than he was before for being a vampire, “Say what?”

“Hey, we’re going trick or treating today aren’t we? I done some research while you were asleep, it seems that you humans like to dress up for it!”

“Why not stay a vampire? People will think your costume’s great…Heck, you might even scare the crap out of them!”

“It’s no fun though.” he pouted as he dropped himself next to me on the bed, leaning in with a big smile on his face, “Plus, I wanted to feel what it’s like to be human for a few days.”

Oh you must be joking. A vampire wants to live as a human for a few days? What’s so great about being human? Not that I hate being human…

“Ahh…I’m missing my telepathic powers already…”

Then why did you turn human if you miss your stupid powers?!

“But I guess I can live without it for a few days. It won’t kill me.” he looked adoringly at his peachy hand.

“How did you turn human?”

“Potion.” he said briskly before getting off the bed to stretch and then head towards the door, “I’m hungry for some human food.”

“NO! WAIT!”

He stopped before his hand could even touch the door knob.

“What if my dad see’s you?! How am I to explain?!”

“Tell him I’m your boyfriend!” YunHo replied happily.

Like I’ll ever spit such blasphemy out of my mouth.

“You! Stay here!” I stormed over to him, pushing him away, “I’ll get you food.”

He obeyed like a puppy for once, shrugging before he sauntered over to my bed and flung himself onto it happily.

Eurgh, I can still feel his touch on my bloody bare skin. It feels…weird.

The doorbell rung.

“Ah, JaeJoong! Your friends are here.”

“What friends?” I questioned as I walked towards the door.

And there I saw DongHae and EunHyuk, looking down at the floor like the losers they were, wearing sad expressions.

What? Are they sorry now? Hah, they better be after what they done to my face!

“So what are you here for?” I asked coldly, leaning against the door soon after my dad disappeared back into the kitchen.

“We’re here to apologise.” EunHyuk said guiltily.

“We’re sorry.” DongHae said soon after.

“You better be.” I scoffed, “Look at what you did to my face!”

I pointed directly at the cheek where the bruise was clearly formed from yesterday night, glaring at them hard while I was at it. But weirdly they looked at my cheeks and scrunched their faces after.
What? Does it look that hideous? Or doesn’t it look like a bruise?

“What bruise?” EunHyuk cocked his head to the size.

“What?! There’s a bruise here, can’t you see?!”

“Unless we suddenly became blind, no Jae, there’s no bruise on your cheek.” DongHae confirmed.

What the…?

EunHyuk looked down again and shuffled his feet, “So, are you angry at us?”

Oh I don’t know EunHyuk, after what DongHae did to my precious face yesterday I don’t know…Should I ask for some compensation? Can I punch DongHae’s face in for making me experience such pain?

Then again…these guys are pretty much the few friends I have in this shitty village. They’ve been great friends with me up until now, all DongHae did was just knock some sense into me I guess..?

“Well, if it isn’t tweedle dee and tweedle dum?”

Oh God, to think that he would obey me for once.

“J-JUNG YUNHO?!” the two cowards in front of me backed away before holding onto each other for dear life. They looked up and down at YunHo for a few moments, their jaws gaping wider as every second past, “NO WAIT, WHO ARE YOU?!”

“Meet Jung YunHo, human version.”

They both fainted before they could even reply.

[ 3rd Person P.O.V ]

In the Jung family mansion, a faint noise was sounding out around the building, echoing endlessly as it hit the bare stone walls.

It wasn’t just any faint noise, it was a tune coming from a piano, a sweet melodic tune that sounded very pleasant to the ears of those who actually appreciated it.

The faint melody was capable of reaching up to the guest room a few floors up, although it wasn’t completely audible, you could almost make out the tune.
Hero laid there in bed, looking up at the ceiling on his bead, trying to figure out the tune of the song.

The curiosity killed him as he turned over and looked at the door, wondering if he would dare to exit the safety of his protected room just to find out the true tune of the piece.

“I’m sure they know I’m under Jung YunHo’s care.” Hero assured himself as he slipped his feet into his slippers before walking over to the door.

When he reached the door he stopped, thinking twice about what he was going to do.

Would he dare risk it? Just because he’s under the care of Jung YunHo doesn’t mean he won’t get attacked since he wasn’t here to protect him.

He shook away the thoughts, thinking that it wouldn’t be that dangerous. Plus, he’s dying soon anyway, it doesn’t make any difference.

Hero opened the door and peeked his head through, looking down the empty hallway before creeping out of the room and heading towards the stairs.

After reaching the floor of which the music was originating from, he could finally hear it.

The perfectly clear trills, flowing smooth pace and calm melody.
He could feel his worries wash away from within in.

Without any hesitation or second thought, he followed the sweet music, leading himself to a set of large wooden double doors.

He pushed open the ancient door slowly, making sure to not make a creaking noise. Opening it far enough to let the music escape the room freely and allow his head to peek through.

There stood a white grand piano that glistened like diamonds under the sun that shone from outside, passing through the old windows and falling onto the piano only. It wasn’t any ordinary piano that was for sure, it was twice the size of a normal piano.

And the one playing such a beautiful piece whose fingers danced graciously across the black and white keys, sat on the stool under the shade caused by the wall, as if putting the piano in the spotlight instead of the pianist themselves.

Hero’s eyes squinted, trying to make out who it was, but this person was just too far away.

Carefully, he slipped himself inside, walking towards the piano cautiously, wondering who this person was. He knew it was most likely a vampire.

Suddenly he saw the bright shades of red and orange as the pianist flicked their hair. He knew who it was now.

The pianist stopped playing upon realizing the presence and scent of human blood that was within a few metres radius. They spun around swiftly.

“Hey YoungRi.” Hero waved innocently.

“W-What are you doing here for?!” she stuttered, “Why aren’t you in your room?!”

“I was curious on who was playing this song so well.” Hero said as he took a step closer, “So you like Yiruma too?”

She nodded before turning to face back at the keys.

“Can you play it again?” Hero requested, “I didn’t hear the beginning of this song.”

“It’s such a sad piece, why do you want to hear it again?”

“It’s not sad! It’s pretty! It made me feel…free.”

She looked at him sceptically.

She thought the piece was sad, it gave her the image of a trapped bird that longed to be free, it was somehow loosely related to Hero in a way.

Then again, how would a vampire know the true meaning of this song since it was composed by a human?
Vampires possessed the simplest feelings a human could have.

“Go on, I want to hear!” Hero said happily, “River Flows In You again please.”

She sighed before setting her fingers on the keys once again, feeling slight pity on the fact that she was now responsible for the happiness of a dying human boy.

[ Kim JaeJoong P.O.V ]

Why did I agree? Why? Why am I trick or treating with this group of horrible people? Okay, minus ChangMin, DongHae and EunHyuk maybe…and JunSu possibly?

Okay, here’s the thing, DongHae and EunHyuk recovered from their shock and seemed to be less scared of YunHo now.
Well, they were pretty happy about it when I told that he had no more powers now, so they decided to go on and attack that jerk straight away. But that didn’t mean Jung YunHo couldn’t fight, oh no. Just because he doesn’t have powers for the time being doesn’t mean he can’t kick your ass with physical strength only.
I mean, what are those chunky arm muscles for?!

Soon after ChangMin arrived with 2 other peachy looking boys. And guess who they were? Yeah, Park YooChun and Kim JunSu.
Is this potion to turn into human that widely available?
If it is I don’t mind these vampires using it everyday. And it would be awesome if the vampire girls drank it and turned human whilst also having themselves beautified by at least 50%.

Minus the vampires that were now harmless humans, the rest of us were in the BEST costumes ever.
Too bad typing this can’t convey the sarcasm that I put into that sentence.

Apart from the vampires that are now harmless humans.

ChangMin dressed himself as a doughnut ghost. No kidding. It was technically a doughnut costume under a big white black with two wholes in it. I guess I can give it some points for creativity, but seriously, what kind of scary costume was that? Then again it totally owned what the vampires had in mind.

Moving onto the other two, they decided to be gangsters…Yeah, you heard right, gangsters. Nowadays, teens that are forced to go trick or treating would go in some dead scary costume where the mask has blood running down on its surface, and because it’s so scary it would scare the shit out of old grandmas to death, thus the teens are able to steal as much candy as they want without being brought up to court about it.
Clever no?

As for me…I guess you can guess what costume I was in since that bastard forced me into wearing it. No scratch that, it isn’t a costume.
Apparently he made me drink some weird potion that made me grow cat ears and tails within a couple of hour’s time after drinking it. It just so happened that this cat set popped out just before EunHyuk and DongHae awoke. It sure gave them endless entertainment.

“Come here kitty.” he grinned at me as I stepped out of the private jet.

Yeah, we were brought back to Seoul though the courtesy of CheonWoo’s private jet. He doesn’t know, heck, I bet he doesn’t realise that his private jet has gone missing let alone remembering that he lent it to me last time.
He’s that dumb.

Storming down the staircases, eyed angrily at YunHo, gritting my teeth harder with every step.

“Aw, don’t worry Jae, it doesn’t look that bad.” DongHae laughed.

I glared at him, silencing him within a second.

“Let’s just hope know one I know would recognise me.” I muttered.

“What time is it?” JunSu questioned.

“Exactly seven.” YooChun replied immediately.

“LET’S GO GET US SOME FREE CANDY!” ChangMin cried out excitedly.
