The gang was directed to a table in the patio reserved especially for them. A waiter approached them and asked for their orders. When they finished ordering xiao you excused herself for the ladies room.
San cai: want me to come with you?
Xiao you: no need..it’ll just be a sec..
San cai: ok..
Xiao qao: you better hurry up.. you’re lunch might be here..
Xiao you: sure..
Xiao you left the group and went to her ladies room.
Ah si: all praises for you man! You were really great back there…
Ximen: thanks..
Mei zhuo: did you see andrew’s face when you beat him?
Mei zhuo imitates andrew’s face. Everybody laughed.
Xiao qao: you are so bad baby!!
Mei zhuo: what? I was just telling the truth!!!
Jing: good thing you beat him Ximen.. that guy is such an airhead!
Meanwhile, xiao you was on the way back to their table when she heard what lei’s asking Ximen. She stopped and listened intently.
Lei: so why are you so determined to not let go of the rope? Of course we all know that it’s for xiao you and you really wanted to win but I can sense that there is more to that..
Ximen: you’re psychic lei! How’d you know that?
Lei: we all grew up together..how can I not know?
Ximen: yeah! Yeah! Whatever!!
San cai: so? (with an interrogative look)
Ximen: so? What?
Mei zhuo: come on Ximen.. promise.. we’ll not laugh at you..
Ximen: ok.. you see for me, Xiao you is like the rope that I was holding on awhile ago.. I promised myself that I won’t let go of the rope..it means a lot to me..because if I let go of it..it’s like letting her go again.. I don’t want that to happen! I wouldn’t not easily give up on her.. I know it sounded so corny..but that’s how it is.. I love her so much that I would do anything.. I mean anything..for her..
The girls were just staring at him with such awe in their eyes. The boys were just quiet and were just smiling at him for they know that their friend is really in-love. Mei zhuo breaks the silence by asking him something..
Mei zhuo: so that explains the gym equipment in your house..
Ah si: and you, jogging early in the morning.. are you sure you’re Ximen?
Lei: yeah! The ximen I know hates exercising and hates perspiring..
Ximen: like what I told you guys.. I would do anything for her.. and I really wanted to prepare for the challenge you guys installed for us.. even if I have to perspire a lot.. I would do it just to win in the challenges and not only in the challenges but also to win her back this time.
Xiao you on the other hand was just dazed, then a tear suddenly rolled down her cheeks. She brushed it off, fixed herself and went back to their table. When she got back, everybody was just staring at her. She pretended that she didn’t hear anything that she tried to hide her uneasiness.
Xiao you: so is the lunch ready? I’m starving.. (flashing them her smile)
BEACH, THAT NIGHT
The resort’s management put up a bonfire for the special request of Dao ming si. F3 ordered the three guys to starve themselves, for this challenge would need a lot of appetite. When the three boys got to the shore, they saw everybody standing beside the tables. A number of plates where on top of the table, they were all covered.
Andrew: what now? We are having an eating contest?
Jeff: that’ll be easy..besides I’m starving..i would surely win this round..
San cai: nice to see you again guys.. I would initiate our third challenge.. for our third challenge.. it would be really easy for you guys cause all you have to do is eat all these dishes that we prepared for you.
Jeff: that easy?
San cai: wait..the challenge is..you should eat all these 9 different dishes

Andrew: what are all these things?
San cai: some of the dishes are Filipino cuisines and some of them are surprised dishes.. They are very popular here in the Philippines.. Now all you have to do is to eat each one of them in a definite time.. you will have to pick a number, that number will tell on whether what dish you’ll have to eat. We have 3 rounds for this challenge, and for each round we give out 30 points each. Whoever eats the most number of dishes will also be given 50 points. Do I make myself clear? So now we’ll start off with Jeff.. You got number 1 earlier right?
Jeff: yup!
San cai: pick a number in the bowl xiao you’s holding..
Jeff went towards Xiao you and picked a number. He then gave the number to san cai.
San cai: you chose number 9..it means plate number 9..Jing kindly assist him and tell him what the name of the dish he chose.
Jing: jeff, you chose plate number 9.. our dish is a mixture of diced mango, diced tomato. diced Garlic, diced onion soaked in vinegar with “bagoong” or shrimp paste..
Lei: that is one popular appetizer here in the Philippines.. I think it’s called “ Mango Enselada”.
Jing: so jeff are you ready? You have to eat everything in 30 seconds.. so? Ready..go
Jeff was hesitant to eat the dish in front of him. He didn’t even try to taste a little. He was so disgusted with the smell of it.
Jing: ygo on Jeff..eat it! You’re time will soon be up..
Xiao you was a bit disappointed by him. After 30 seconds, jeff didn’t even touched the dish.
San cai: jeff, since you haven’t touched a bit of the dish we offer you.. we’ll deduct a point from you..
Ah si: so now your score is –10..
San cai: but you can still make it to our 2nd round.. hopefully if you choose a good number. now andrew it’s your turn.
Andrew went to xiao you to get a number.
Andrew: I would eat everything for you xiao you.
Xiao you just smiled at him. Everybody just rolled their eyes. Meanwhile, Andrew gave the number to san cai.
San cai: andrew, you choose number 5.. xiao qao.. can you please assist him?
Xiao qao: ok..andrew.. our dish number 5 is…(removed the cover of the plate)
Good for you.. our dish number 5 is a bar of sneakers, you must finish that in 30 seconds.. happy eating (sarcastically)
San cai: this one of the three surprised dish
Andrew: I can finish this earlier.. 10 seconds maybe!! Hahahaha! yeah! This is sooo good…(teasing Ximen and Jeff)
*Ximen’s POV*
what an a**hole!!
Andrew indeed finished the bar of sneakers in 10 seconds.
San cai: since you finish them all up, you get 30 points.
Andrew: yeah! Your turn Ximen..
It was now Ximen’s turn. When he went to xiao you to pick up a number he let’s out a big gasp. After choosing a number, he gave it to san cai.
San cai: ximen, you chose number 7.. mei zhuo, could you assist ximen.
Mei zhuo: for dish number 7 man! We have (removing the cover of the plate) these dish is called “isaw”
Ximen: what is it?
Mei zhuo: it is the small intestine of a chicken place in a barbecue stick. They grilled it and eat it. go man! ready?
Ximen: yeah!
Mei zhuo: go!
Ximen took a small bite of the “Isaw”. At first he wanted so spit it out but when he saw the encouraging look form xiao you, he continued eating the “isaw”. After 15 seconds, Ximen finished eating the “isaw”. He was now drinking his bottle of water.
Mei zhuo: that’s my man!
San cai: good Ximen! You get 30 points.. for the second round..
