Xiao qao went out of the ob-gyne’s room. Jing, san cai and xiao you stood up as they saw her coming out. The three girls walked towards her.
Jing: so?
Xiao you: are you?
Xiao qao wasn’t answering them. Her face looked so pale as if any minute now she would just faint right there and there.
San cai: xiao qao sit first ok.. you don’t look good..
The four girls sat down. There were silence. The three girls just looked at her waiting for her reply. After 10 minutes…
Xiao qao: confirmed.. I’m a month pregnant..
Jing: oh!
Xiao you: aren’t you happy?
Xiao qao just stared at her.
Xiao you: it’s God blessing xiao qao..you should be happy!
Xiao you smiled at her trying to ease the tension. Then tears were again flowing down her cheeks.
Jing: stop crying xiao qao.. it wouldn’t do any good to your baby!
San cai: by the way ah si keeps on sending me SMS asking on where we are..i think mei zhuo’s looking for you..
Xiao you gave her the cut-it-out look. Jing was wiping the tears on her cheeks when xiao qao stood up.
San cai: where are you going?
Xiao qao: out… I want to get out of here..please let’s get out..
Xiao you: come on..we’ll bring you home..
XIMEN’S OFFICE
Loads of papers were again stacked up in Ximen’s table. He stretched his arms first before he continue signing all the documents again. Then his phone rang..
Ximen: wei! Mei zhuo..what’s up?
Mei zhuo: do you know where xiao qao is?
Ximen: no! he’s your girlfriend..you should know where she is.. is that why you called?
Mei zhuo: I’ve been trying to call her but there’s no answer.. is xiao you there?
Ximen: not yet man! Why are you looking for her anyway?
Mei zhuo: nothing! I just thought that maybe she knows where xiao qao is.. I called lei and ah si. I asked them if jing and san cai is with them but they too told me that they haven’t seen them since this morning..i’m just worried man!
Ximen: don’t worry you’ll find her man! If ever xiao you calls me..i’ll ask her and I’ll let you know..ok?
Mei zhuo: thanks man! Sorry to bother you…
Ximen: what are f4 for?
Mei zhuo: see you soon man!
Ximen: sure…bye..
Ximen went back to his papers when his phone again rang. When he saw the registered name of the person calling he immediately answered it.
Ximen: wei! Honey!
Xiao you: honey! California maki or sushi?
Ximen: (confused) huh? Where are you?
Xiao you: baby I’m asking you? California maki or sushi?
Ximen: California maki..
Xiao you: with wasabi or without?
Ximen: with wasabi.. where are you?
Xiao you: beef tepanyaki or beef teriyaki?
Ximen: beef teriyaki..baby where are you?
Xiao you: tempura or sashimi?
Ximen: tempura…
Xiao you: ok..bye..
Ximen: hey baby! Why…where…
But even before he could finish his question, she cut the line. He tried calling her again but she wasn’t answering the phone. After 15 minutes, he was still trying to contact her but there was no answer.
Ximen: where are you xiao you? Answer the phone!!!
He was beginning to worry so he stood up and decided to find her. When he opened the door, she was standing outside holding on 2 plastic bags.
Xiao you: where are you going?
Ximen: why aren’t you answering any of my calls? I’ve been trying to reach you for the past 15 minutes..
Ximen was now hysterical
Ximen: don’t you know..that I was so worried.. what if something happens to you? What if some lunatic tries to harm you?
Xiao you was smiling at him. She was so touched by the way he showed his concern.
Ximen: what if someone kidnap you? Why didn’t you even text or send me an SMS to inform me on where you are? Why did you…
Then Xiao you just kissed him. It was fast but a passionate one. He was shocked and at the same time delighted by her gesture. After kissing him, she then hugged him.
Xiao you: so you’re finish?
Ximen: where have you been?
Xiao you: I wanted to surprise you for lunch..so I thought of buying you Japanese food. It was my turn to order that’s why I cut the conversation short. I didn’t noticed that my phone was ringing since the place was so jam packed. The music in the restaurant was also loud that’s why I didn’t hear my phone beeped. Baby, I’m so sorry if I made you so worried. I really just wanted to surprise you…
Ximen: well you did!
Xiao you: so you’re not mad at me anymore?
Ximen thinking.
Ximen: if you kissed me once more..maybe I could forgive you..
Xiao you: dream on!
Ximen: what???? (pouting at her)
Xiao you: don’t give me that look Ximen..i’m not buying it..
Ximen: pwease..
Ximen, who was still pouting was now baby talking.
Xiao you: cut it out ximen.. it doesn’t suit you, you don’t look cute with that face….ok…ok..you’re cute..but cut it out first ok..i really wanted to eat..i’m starving.. I haven’t had breakfast yet…so please let’s just eat first..
Ximen: if you promised to give me a kiss later..then we’ll eat..
Xiao you: blackmailer!!!!
Ximen: so?
Xiao you thinking
Xiao you: ok..ok…
Ximen: good! Let’s go inside..
