Ah si was seating at the balcony chair. He haven’t change from his office attire and he just keeps on staring at the sky. SanCai decided to approach him.
San cai: what are you doing here? (putting both her hands on Ah si’s shoulders)
Are you mad at me?…your mom is waiting for you downstairs…
Ah si: you go ahead..I’m not hungry.. I just lost my appetite..
Sancai: are you sure?
Ah si: yup..(still not looking at her)
San cai: something bothering you?
Ah si didn’t answer her question
San cai: oh come on..i know you too well Mr. Dao Ming Si… there is something bothering you… care to tell me? (decided to sit besides Ah si’s chair)
Ah si: well….oh forget it!
San cai: is it about the fashion show?
Ah si was surprised by her question but hid it to himself
Ah si: what are you a psychic?
San cai: I told you.. I know you too well..(smiling)
But Ah si was determined to not look at her
Ah si: it’s just that I’m not comfortable seeing you dress the way models do..not that I’m happy or something, I really am proud of you..what’s bothering me is that..you know people might stare too at you for too long.. guys asking you out or asking you for a drink..you know stuff like that…
San cai: will you be there to watch me?
Ah si: of course I will, what kind of question is that?
San cai: good..then there’s nothing to worry about…I’ll tell every guy that ask me for a drink that I have a boyfriend who is ready to give them a hard punch anytime..(smiling but Ah si was still not reacting) and I’ll tell them that I have a boyfriend whom I love soooo much..
With her comment Ah si looked at her and smiled..she smiled back and hugged him..
Ah si: you serious with that?
San cai: uhuh!! (hugging him tightly) and besides jing promised us that we won’t be wearing those daring dresses, so you guys would not worry about having your girlfriends being adored by guys…ok?! (giving him an assuring look) so you pighead better eat your dinner or else I would really request Jing to let me wear those backless gowns..
Ah si: stupid woman!!!
San cai: pighead…
The following day- Maple Hotel
Backstage
Jing: how many minutes more before show time?
Floor director: 5 minutes more..
Jing: you better prepare them already..ok? I’ll just be over there..(pointing to where the girls are) excuse me (leaving the floor director and heading towards the girls)
Floor director: are you girls and boys ready? We’ll be starting in 5 minutes..casual wear..pleas fall in line..then we’ll have the swimsuits..and we’re off to the semi-formal/ business attires..and for our finale..we’ll have the formal gowns. Ok?! Thank you
Jing: Sancai are you alright? (holding both san cai’s hands)
San cai: I am.. I’m just a liitle nervous..that’s all
Jing: don’t worry everybody will love you..oh good! Thanks for reminding youself Jing…san cai..what if they’ll never like my designs..what if they all walks out because of the boring presentation..what if
But before Jing could even continue, Xiao you cuts in and does the zip- your- lips hand movement.
Xiao you: zip it!!! Don’t worry everybody will love the show..there’s no need to worry about it.. ok?!!!
Xiao Qao: you sounded like you’ve done these a million times..
Xiao you: well I haven’t that’s why I am so excited..it’s like a dream come tru for me..
Xiao Qao: are you sure your excited about that reason? Or are you excited because someone special will be outside watching you..
Xiao you: huh?! (giving her a quizzical look)
Xiao Qao: oh come on Xiao you.. you know who I’m talking about?!
San Cai: stop it Xiao Qao..
Xiao you: if you are pertaining to Xi men..i don’t really care if he’s there or not.. I guess I’m already over him.. you all know the main reason why I came back right?! I have move on.. and for me past is already in the past.. I don’t want to talk about it anymore..and I’m sure that if he really likes me then at least he could made the move to ask me out..i’ve been here for days.. he has not been trying to contact me at all..what the heck?! I’m through with boys..
Jing: you are? So is it bye-bye for guys for now?
Xiao you thought what Jing just said
Xiao you: umm..not quite..let me rephrase it.. you see..i’m open to entertaining guys..i admit I have close my door but still all my windows could be open..cause we never know one of them might have the right key to open my heart..but honestly speaking I don’t want to risk my heart again for him…the experience six years ago was really a painful one..it really took me a lot of years to heal the pain.. sorry to disappoint you girls..but I think it would never really work out..but we could still be good friends and maybe even bestfriends..what you think?!
*Xiao You POV*
you have to be strong..you have to show them that your strong because you are..your totally over him…
After the Fashion show, all the guest proceeded for the reception are for their dinner.
At the table designated for their group
Mei zhuo: you were so beautiful baby!
Xiao qao: thanks..but I guess the one that we should praise here is Jing..the show was so successful..
San cai: you bet..
Xiao you: what did I told you earlier? Everybody will love your design.. and everyone did.. you were amazing…
Jing: thanks xiao you..thanks to you girls..if it wasn’t for you three..the show would not be completed..and I think I would still have a hard time looking for replacements right now..
Xiao qao: what are friends for Jing?
Jing: thank you so much..
Xi men keeps on stealing glances form Xiao you..and everytime he got caught she would just smile at him. Out of embarrassment he excused himself from the group and told them that he would just use the Comfort room. By the time he got back the music in the dance floor slowed down. Couples were seen heading to the dance floor.. he even recognize some familiar faces like Xiao Qao and Mei Zhuo, Lei and Jing..
Back at their table
Ah si: you wanna dance?
San cai: not now.. xiao you doesn’t have someone here with her..i better stay here with her..
Xiao you: oh don’t worry San cai. I can manage myself.. you go ahead..i’ll be fine here..
Ah si: you hear her..let’s go?!
San cai: are you sure you’re ok here?
Xiao you: san cai..just dance ok?! (smiling at her bestfriend)
San cai: ok..( ah si and san cai approached the dance floor)
Xi men thought twice about asking xiao you to dance but when he finally decided to approach her…
Guy: hi! Your Xiao you right?
Xiao you: uh..yeah..
Guy: I’m Jeff.. I ’m one of Jing’s models..i noticed you a while ago and decided to ask you for a dance..if that is possible and if you want to..
Xiao you: oh! Yeah I recognize you..umm..well.. (thinking) umm.. yeah sure..
Jeff: oh great!!
