Xiao you was lying down on her bed with eyes closed and was trying to catch some sleep when she heard noises outside her room. Curious, she stood up, got her robe and went out of the room. Outside the room, she saw Ah si about to go down the stairs, carrying 2 pillows on both arms. She called for him even before he could make another step.
Xiao you: Ah si!
Ah si: Xiao you? You’re still awake?
Xiao you: sort of.
Ah si: or did we wake you up?
Xiao you: sort of..
Ah si: oh! sorry.. you’re best friend’s at it again..
Xiao you: what do you mean?
Ah si: she again wanted me out of the room..
Xiao you: mood swings?
Ah si: you bet.. she’s becoming too moody..
Xiao you: bear with her Ah si..
Ah si: that’s what I’m doing.. I just don’t get it.. she’s been craving for a lot of foods.. she even crave to see… can you imagine “power puff”.. she longs for that cartoons lately.. what’s with that? is it really natural for her to do that? or she’s just being so childish lately.. “powerpuff”.. it’s so silly..
Xiao you: hey! it’s not silly.. they’re cute..
Ah si: whatever!!! I just don’t get it.. she craves for almost everything.. everything but not me..
Xiao you: why do you want her to crave for you?
Ah si: so that I won’t get kicked out of the room in the middle of the night.. When she feels like it.. and I wanted our kid to look like me.. that’s a good enough reason..
Xiao you: well! Let’s just pray for your wishes to be granted.. so where are you sleeping now?
Ah si: anywhere.. this mansion have plenty of rooms.. I think I could manage to pick one..
Xiao you: ok..
Ah si: hey! you wanna grab something to eat? I can make you a sandwich.. that’s the only thing I could offer since we woke you up.. that’s if, if you still you want too.. but it’s ok.. if you want to go back to sleep now.. I understand.. it’s kinda late already..
Xiao you: hmmm.. you sure you’ll make me a sandwich?
Ah si: yeah!
Xiao you: ok.. I’ll just get my sleepers.. you can go ahead..
Ah si: ok..
KITCHEN
Ah si was searching on the refrigerator all the ingredients he’ll need when Xiao you entered the kitchen.
Xiao you: you need any help?
Ah si: nope.. thanks.. you just sit there and relax..
Xiao you: ok..
After Ah si got all the ingredients from the refrigerator, he put on his favorite apron and then started his work. Xiao you was giving out a small laugh while watching Ah si getting so serious in what he was doing.
Xiao you: take it easy Ah si..
Ah si: don’t worry.. I’m like this every time I cook..
Xiao you: alright.. hey.. I’ll just go back to my room.. I forgot to bring my mobile phone.. I’ll be back in a jiffy..
Ah si: ok..
Xiao you left him and went directly to her room.
After 5 minutes, Ah si finished what he was doing. He placed the sandwich in a nice plate and garnished it with chips on the side. For their drinks, he just poured milk on their glasses. Then Xiao you opened the door and went in. She was a tad surprise to see the preparation Ah si made.
Xiao you: wow! Ah si! you can really pass for a great chef..
Ah si: really?
Xiao you: yeah! you turned a midnight snack into a restaurant dish..
Ah si: you’re exaggerating Xiao you!
Xiao you: I’m telling the truth..
Ah si: ok.. ok.. here’s you share..
Ah si gave her the plate and the glass of milk.
Xiao you: thank you..
Xiao you took a bite from her sandwich.
Xiao you: wow! You’re really improving..
Ah si: well.. I practiced a lot.. so that my future son or daughter will be proud of me when they taste my specialty.. (laughing)
Xiao you: don’t worry.. they’ll be proud of you.. of both of you..
Ah si: thanks xiao you..
Then Xiao you’s mobile phone rang.
Xiao you: wei!
Ximen: hi honey!
Xiao you: Ximen! You’re still awake?
Ximen: yeah! I just finished reading the document sent from France by one of my clients.. you, why are you still awake?
Xiao you: I’m eating .. sandwich with Ah si..
Ah si: with Ah si? you’re with Ah si?
Xiao you: yeah!
Ximen: can I talk to him?
Xiao you: ok.. Ah si.. Ximen wants to talk to you.. (handing the phone to Ah si)
Ah si: wei! Dude! What’s up?
Ximen: why are you with Xiao you?
Ah si: oh! I told her that I’d make her a sandwich since San cai and I woke her up.. and here we are, in the kitchen eating the sandwich..
Ximen: so San cai’s with you?
Ah si: no.. she’s sleeping.. she again kicked me out of the room..
Ximen: san cai’s not with you?
Ah si: yes… hey what’s the problem anyway?
Ximen: I just want to remind you that you already have a wife, she’s already pregnant and in 7 months you’re gonna be a daddy.. and Xiao you is my girlfriend so you better keeps your paws of her..
Ah si: what? Don’t tell me.. you’re jealous of me..
Ximen: what? No!
Ah si: oh! come on.. I can tell from here that you’re turning green out of jealousy..
Ximen: no.. I’m not.. I’m just concern with Xiao you’s condition, hanging out with a pervert like you..
Ah si: did I ask for your opinion huh? Don’t worry I’ll not harm Xiao you.. I’m not like what you think..
Ximen: good..can I talk to xiao you now?
Ah si: whatever.. hey Xiao you, your insecure boyfriend wants to talk to you..
Ah si hands the phone to Xiao you.
Xiao you: wei!
Ximen: hey after eating, go to sleep already..ok? it’s so late and you still have to get up early for tomorrows work..
Xiao you: ok..
Ximen: I’ll see you tomorrow..
Xiao you: ok.. can’t wait.. bye..
Ximen: bye.. I love you..
Xiao you: I love you too..
Xiao you was smiling as she hung up the phone. Ah si who was looking at her smiled as he saw the look in her face.
Ah si: you really love him.. don’t you?
Xiao you: huh? What?
Ah si: from the smile in your face.. I could tell that you’re so in love with him..
Xiao you: well I am..
Ah si: and he is too.. since you went back to Canada six years ago.. his life was so miserable.. all he thinks about was you.. that’s why we were all so glad that you came back.. you again gave him hope.. we’ve never seen him so happy up until now.. we’ve never seen his face glow until you came back.. he really loves you Xiao you.. I know that you love him too.. right?
Xiao you just nods at him.
Ah si: so don’t worry about that Timmy displaying himself around Ximen.. he’ll never take a mere glance at her.. he’ll never even give her a minute of his attention.. because he’s all focused on you.. he’ll never do anything stupid to hurt you again..
Xiao you: I thought hearing those words from Ximen is so sweet.. hearing from you guys, friend of his, is much sweeter.. but don’t get me wrong.. I love hearing those words from him.. it’s just that hearing from you guys makes it more flattering.. and hearing it from you Master Dao Ming Si is really an honor..
They just laughed at each other.
