Ximen was lying down in his bed and was just staring at the ceiling of the room. He can’t sleep. So he got his mobile phone from his side table. He looked at it for a good ten minutes or so. Then he finally decided to dial a number.The phone was ringing and finally the person on the other end of the line answered it.
Ximen: wei! Mei zhuo!
Mei zhuo: hey man! What’s up? Haven’t heard from you for a while now?
Ximen: can you call lei and meet me up at VS in 30 minutes..
Mei zhuo: is there something wrong?
Ximen: just meet me there ok..see you bye..
*XIMEN’S POV*
what the heck?! They’re my friends….right?
VS, 11:30pm
F2 were sitting and waiting for Ximen on their table. They were having their first round of liquors.
Mei zhuo: where is he? I can’t believe him..he said that he’ll meet us up here in 30 minutes and now he’s not here..
Lei: what does he want this time?
Mei zhuo: I don’t know..he didn’t say anything..
Lei: whatever it is? It better be good.. I sacrificed my 15 hour sleep just for him..
Mei Zhuo: sleepyhead!!!
Ximen: hey guys!!!
Mei zhuo: and he decided to appear..what took you so long man?
Ximen: it doesn’t matter anymore..i’m here..better late than never..
Mei zhuo: yeah! We know..here..(giving Ximen a beer) so what do you want from us?
Ximen: nothing..i just missed you guys..i haven’t seen you 2 for quite a long time now…
Mei zhuo: what?!!
Lei: you disturbed me from my favorite hobby just because you missed us..the hell with you ximen..
Ximen: why are you grouchy Lei? (laughing)
Lei: didn’t you hear me awhile ago.. (standing up and started leaving the place)
Mei zhuo: hey where are you going man?
Lei: I’m leaving..i’d rather sleep than stay here and waste my time..you coming?
Mei zhuo was not answering
Lei: see you soon guys…
Lei turned his back from ximen and Mei zhuo..after a few steps Mei Zhuo decided to follow him..but even before they could even make another step.
Ximen: it’s about xiao you (bowing his head)
Lei and Mei zhuo on the other hand turned their back and returned to their table.
Lei: what about her? (opening another can of beer)
Mei zhuo: so your ready to explain to us everything?
Ximen: what? (confused)
Mei zhuo: you know everything?
Ximen: everything what? (still have no idea)
Mei zhuo: like the picture of xiao you in your drawer..
Ximen: how did you know about that?
Mei zhuo: we saw it in your drawer..and care to explain the reason why you were in itialliani’s.. is it coincidental or did you really plan to have lunch there?
Ximen: I was..
But Mei zhuo cuts him before he could even say a word.
Mei zhuo: the scene in café bretton..are you really there for a meeting? Or are you spying on Andrew and Xiao you? That is really coincidental..
Ximen: who told you about that?
Mei zhuo: oh! I have my sources.. and you were buying something in the grocery? What a lame excuse! I know you too well man! And why is xiao you working at your company? Is it also a part of your plan?
Ximen: no..it was not part of my plan.. I was also surprised when I found out that she was one of the people who were sent here from Canada.
Lei: she told us the main reason in details why she came back..don’t tell me you don’t know about that? You are the President of your company..and you knew nothing?
Ximen: I know that there will be exchange of personnel in our company but I don’t have any idea that this is what xiao you is pertaining to. Believe me guys I didn’t plan it!
Mei zhuo: what about the other things? As mentioned earlier… so…we’re waiting?
Ximen: well the lunch in italliani’s, I planned it..the meeting at café bretton, I also planned it..the grocery stuff, it was also part of my plan..the picture..that’s all I have as remembrance of her..
Mei zhuo: all of it because you like her?
Ximen: I don’t like her….I love her… since she left for Canada..she’s all I think about..i tried to forget her by keeping myself busy from work..but it didn’t work.. I dated and dated different mei meis per week just to get my mind off her..but it didn’t work as well. So I stopped..when she finally came back..i was so happy..that I felt like something heavy have been lifted off my shoulder. At the same time I was scared.. scared that she might not talk to me after all I’ve caused her..i was also hurt when I found out that she had moved on..cause I know I didn’t. ever since she came home I avoided her..because I’m still scared of the idea that she doesn’t want me near.. that’s why I keep on following her around. I decided to spy on them in café bretton because I was so jealous of Andrew. You know the irony of it..i fell so madly in love with the person I didn’t intend to love in the first place. I can relate to these one quote “you realize the importance of a person when they’re not around”, that’s true!
Lei: why did you let her go in the first place?
Ximen: I was afraid of what I’m feeling.. man! It’s scare the sh*t out of me! But now I realized that this feeling called “love” is worth fighting for..and I’m ready to win her back..
Mei zhuo: you sure?
Ximen: a hundred and one percent sure..
Mei zhuo: that’s why you called us?
Ximen: yeah! I..i really don’t know how to start..
With his comments Mei zhuo and lei laughed..
Mei zhuo: you of all people don’t know how to start? Are you sure you’re Ximen?
Man! Have you lost your touch when it comes to women..
Ximen: she is not just any other women..she’s the one I love..that’s why It ain’t easy for me…
Lei: for starters, why don’t you ask her out?
