After an hour or walking around and checking out some stores, Jayde decided to go to the ground floor of the mall where the food court and the ice skating rink are located at. She sat near the rink while eating her favorite ice cream, Rocky Road. She was thinking of where to go next when she felt someone staring at her. She turns to her side and saw two girls that she doesn’t really want to see. It is Ji Young’s and Seung Hyun’s step-sisters. She just feels like something bad will happen when she saw them, so she just went back looking at the skaters and just ignored the two girls. She thought, ‘I should have known these two girls would have known each other. They do go to the same school.’
“So? How’s my dear brother holding up?” ask the girl who she recognized as Ji’s sister, but let’s just call her Thing 1 (lol).
Jayde’s turned to look at them looking bored and said, “He’s doing great.” She went back to eat her rocky road ice cream.
“Well, he is not being missed at all in case he was wondering.” Thing 1 said while smirking.
“Well, happy to tell you that he is not thinking about anything close to that. That’s just a wasteful thought if you asked me.” Jayde said then she finished her ice cream and stood up leaving Thing 1 and Thing 2.
“Where are you going?” someone yelled. Jayde thinks it was Thing 2.
Jayde turned around and looks at her, “I am slowly walking away from a couple of mindless and spoiled brats who have nothing to do with their boring lives.” She said and turned around once again.
Both of the girls are fuming mad. Ji’s sister grabbed the closest thing she can reach and throw it at Jayde. It was a cup full of ice and little soda left. Jayde ended up wet from her neck down on her back.
Jayde turned around and said, “You both just proved me right. Only selfish, mindless spoiled brats like the both of you will do that kind of thing. You are both lucky that I’m not like you guys. I wouldn’t sink to your levels.” Jayde noticed that they’re attracting a few crowds now. “I don’t want to waste anymore of my precious time dealing with you lowlife.” She then turned around and walks away dripping wet.
The girls wants to retaliate, but noticed the crowds around them. The people were giving them dirty looks and saying, ‘girls these days,’ and ‘what kind of parents do they have not teaching them properly.’ The girls got scared and ran away from there. It will be a while again before they can show their face at the mall.

Jayde decided to walk home from the mall. It gotten chilly and she didn’t bring any coat with her. When she got home she took a warm bath and went straight to bed.
Jae found her sleeping when he got home. He was a bit surprised to see her sleeping. He decided to let her rest when he heard her moan. He looks at her and walks towards her. Jayde is sweating and she keeps on mumbling something. He touched her forehead and realized that she’s burning up. He went out of the room grabbed some water and face towel and put it on her forehead. He grabbed his cell phone and dialed Young Bae’s number. He is the only one he knows that doesn’t have any work today.
“Hello?”
“Young Bae, can you go down to the pharmacy down the street and get some cold and flu medicine?”
“What’s going on?”
“I just got home and found Jayde burning up. Can you get it now please?” Jae said.
“Okay, I’m on my way out right now. Be back in a few minutes.” Bae hang up.
Jae put his phone down and looks at Jayde. He was wondering what happened to her. She was fine this afternoon when they left school. He heard her moaning and mumbling something.
“Jae.”
“I’m here Jayde.”
“It’s too hot in here.” She threw the blanket away that was on top of her. Jae saw that she was only wearing her thin camisole and panty.
“Jayde you’re burning up. It’s the fever that’s making you feel hot. Jae tried to put the blanket back on her, but she keeps on throwing and kicking it away from her. She’s sweating so bad that her camisole is almost see through. That’s when Young Bae ran in their room.
“Jae, I got the medicine. Is she okay?” Young Bae stopped at the scene in front of him. This is the first time he saw Jayde wearing almost nothing at all. “Jae, ca..can you co...cover her up? She’s almost naked.” Young Bae said stuttering. He tries to look somewhere else.
“I tried, believe me, but she keeps on kicking it off her.” Jae explained. Jae took the meds from Young Bae and realized there’s no water in the room. “Watch over her okay? I’m going to get a glass of water.” Jae left the room before Young Bae could say anything. Then he heard Jayde mumbling something.
“Jae, it’s too hot. I need to get out of these clothes.” Jayde said.
Young Bae starts to panic. She saw her reaching out at the end of her camisole and slowly lifting it up over her head. He tried to stop her by going to her side and pushing the camisole down, but she overpowered him and got her shirt off her. Young Bae just stood there frozen. He’s looking at Jayde’s bare naked chest. Then he heard Jae coming back and he just grabbed the comforter and threw it over Jayde’s body.
“What’s wrong?” Jae asked.
Young Bae was nervous, “Sorry Jae, I tried stopping her, but she’s pretty strong for a person who is sick. She took her top off, so I just threw that comforter over her.”
Jae nods and smiled. “Thanks Young Bae. She does that when she’s sick. Don’t worry I trust you.” Jae said.
Young Bae finally breathes normally. “Jae, I’ll make dinner tonight with the boys. I’ll leave you here with Jayde.” Bae said.
Jae nods and said, “Thank You.”
Young Bae walks towards the door and stopped and looks back to Jae and Jayde. Jae’s wiping Jayde’s forehead with the face cloth. Jae looks worried. He can tell how important Jayde is to him. Bae then walks out of the room and closed it quietly.

An hour later Ji Young and Seung Hyun ran inside the apartment. Ji Young and Seung Hyung stopped when they saw the boys sitting around the sofa.
“Where’s Jayde?” Ji Young asked breathing hard from running.
Yun Ho looks up and answered, “She’s inside the room with Jae and Young Bae.”
Both Ji and Hyun sat with the boys. “What’s wrong with Jayde? Bae just txt us that she was sick.” Seung Hyun asked.
“Well, Nuna is having a very high fever right now.” Chang min said.
“Fever? She was fine this morning.” Ji Young said.
“Well, from what Jae said, Jayde was mumbling about two mindless spoiled brats throwing ice drink all over her and she didn’t do anything and walked like that all the way from the mall.” Jun Su explained.
“In this cold weather!? She just walked home from the mall!?” Ji threw his back on the sofa. Then he sat up again, “Did you say two mindless spoiled brats?”
“Yeah, that’s what Jayde was mumbling about earlier.” Yoochun said.
Ji stood up and walks towards Jayde’s room. Ji knocks and then opens the door. She saw Jae wiping Jayde while Young Bae sits on the chair beside them. Ji walks towards the bed. Both Jae and Bae saw him and nod at him.
“How is she?” Ji asked.
“She’s doing much better than an hour ago. She still has some fever, but it went down a bit.” Jae explained.
“Do you know how this happened? She was fine this morning.” Ji said.
This time it was Young Bae who answered. “She encountered your step-sister and Seung Hyun’s step-sister at the mall. They threw some cup full with ice and soda on her and she just walks like that back home. She didn’t even change her shirt.”
Ji got mad from hearing this information. He was about to go ran out of the room and grab Seung Hyun to look for their step-sisters when he heard Jayde calling him. He turned around and walks back towards her.
“Ji, is that you?” Jayde asked. Jae stood up.
“Yes, Jayde it’s me Ji.”
“Don’t be running out of here and looking for your sister.” She said.
Ji was surprised. How did she know that he was planning on doing that? He saw her motioned him to sit on the bed. He sat down and Jayde hold his hand.
“Don’t go anywhere okay? Stay by my side tonight. Get Seung Hyun too.” She turned to Jae and Bae and said, “Both of you should go and get some rest. You guys been watching me since you got here. Ji and Seung Hyun will be watching me.” She said. Jae knows that Jayde doesn’t like being fuss about, but she’s doing this to prevent Ji and Hyun looking for their step-siblings. Jae nods and motioned to Bae to follow him. Few minutes later Seung Hyun is inside the room with them.
Jayde grabbed Ji’s hand, “Promise me you’re not going anywhere.”
“I promise.” Once he said that he saw Jayde drifting to sleep.
Seung Hyun was a bit confused on what’s he doing in there, but then Ji explained everything to him. Seung Hyun got so mad that he just wants to find his sister, but Ji stopped him.
“I promised Jayde we’re not going anywhere tonight. We’re staying with her.” Seung Hyun is trying to calm himself down.
“Fine, but I will have to talk to that kid tomorrow.” Seung Hyun said and Ji agreed with him.
