“Jae!” Jae turned around and saw his dad.
“You’re home early.” He said and went back to preparing dinner. Since his mom died from a car accident years ago he ended up doing most of the house work. They do have some maids around, but he likes to cook, so he does it once in a while to give their staff a break.
“Guess what? I got the youngest best photographer signed for us! Isn’t that awesome?” His dad said.
Jae looked back at him. “Youngest? How young?”
His dad grinned, “17 years old.”
“What? Is this photographer that famous? He’s the same age as me.” Jae said.
“Yes, and I’m glad that the offer I sent was accepted. This person will be our main photographer in our magazine.”
“Wow, this person is that good?” Jae was surprised.
“Yes, you probably have seen his work. There’s a rumor going around that if he picks you as a model you definitely are going to be popular, but he been declining a lot of job the last couple of months that’s why I was surprised to see this person to accept ours.”
“Why? What’s his name again?” Jae asked
“He’s name is MJ Lim.” His dad grin
Jae was shocked. “THE MJ LIM? Isn’t he in the States?!” and then he paused, “He’s only 17!?”
“Yes, that’s why I can’t help to get excited!” His dad said.
“Wow, this is big dad. I heard about him. No one knew how this person looks like. He does everything by himself. Even the models that he works with won’t even tell who he is because of their contract.” Jae sat down. Then looks up to his dad, “When is he coming?”
“They will let us know when they get here.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, it seems like he doesn’t want to let anyone know he’s here yet until his first photo shoot.”
“I see, I guess that makes sense.”

A month later
Jayde is finally in Korea! She breathes in…ahhhh! The smell of fresh air…She smiles. She still can’t believe that she’s here. That her dad actually let her go by herself here and to live with her old nanny Mrs. Kim. She can start new and fresh. She looks around to see anyone familiar. Then she saw an old best friend. She waved and ran up to him.

Kim Bum is excited to see his childhood friend again. He was surprised to hear from his mom that she will be moving here in Korea for a while. He is waiting for her right now here at the airport. She will start school with him at Seoul Academy. He was looking around when he saw a pretty girl waving at him. He wasn’t sure first if it was him, he turned and no one seems to take notice of the girl and next thing he knew this girl hugged her.

“Kim Bum!”
“MJ?” Kim Bum looked surprised to see this girl hugging him.
“Yah! Don’t call me MJ!” she smacked him on the head.
“It’s just us here. No one will know.” Kim bum said rubbing his head.
“You might slip when we’re together. You need to practice to call me Jayde. Okay?” She smiles.
He smiles back to her. “Let’s go. Mom can’t wait to see you.” He then took her luggage and led her to his car.
“Wow, is that your car?” Jayde looking at it.
He grinned, “Yeah, it’s all mine thanks to you.” He saw her look at him.
“Thanks to me? I didn’t buy that for you.” She said.
“Well, you did get me all those jobs that led me to buy a new car and a new house for mom.”
“Oh please. I didn’t do anything. You were natural behind my camera. Not my fault that you got so popular after a few session with me.” She said.
“You are so funny. Why can’t you just accept it that anyone you handled became popular because of your pictures?” He pointed out.
“Can we just change the subject? Please?” she begs him.
“Fine, your house apartment is done by the way.” He’s the only one and of course his mom too who knew what she did. She bought this land 2 blocks from the school. She made it as a Internet Café/Book Café/Game Café. The second floor is her apartment. There’s also her studio and her work room. There’s also 2 other rooms that she’s planning on renting. Where she got all these money you asked? Well, she has been doing professional photography for 4 years now, so she does have a lot of money.
“Awesome! I can’t wait to see it. You sure your mom doesn’t mind running the café downstairs?” He looks at him. “I would run it myself, but I don’t want anyone to know I own the building and the business. I actually don’t want anyone to know I’m MJ. I just want to be the plain Jayde.” She said.
Kim Bum can’t blame her, after what she told me about her ex-bf and ex best friend. How he wants to beat up that guy. No one uses his best friend like that. MJ is like the younger sister he never had. Even though his mom works as a house maid at their house long time ago, she never treated him or his mom different. She gave him confidence and self-esteem that he thought he lost long time ago. Her whole family is just so down to earth.
“Okay, here we are. Do you need help moving stuff around your place?”
“Nope, I think I’ll be fine. I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” She gave him a kiss on the cheeks and then watched him leave.
She turned around and looks at her new home. She smiles and she knew she will have a blast here.

At School
“Good Morning class. Sit down. We have a new transfer student.” The teacher said. Everyone got quiet and then looks at the door. The teacher motioned someone to come in. Comes a girl who wears a long skirt, hairs braided, and have black glasses on.
“Good Morning. My name is Jayde Lim. Nice to meet you all.” She said softly.
“Okay, let’s see. You can sit by the window beside Yun Ho.” Said the teacher.

Jae heard his teacher mentioning a new student. She looks pretty plain. No one really was paying much attention at her, but something caught his attention. When she thought no one was paying attention with her she just smiled. Which is very unusual; others will frown for not having any attention. When she was walking towards the empty chair he noticed the air of authority around her that it seems like she’s trying to hide. He looked around to see if anyone else sees what he is seeing, but no one else care except his other four friends. He saw them looking at her too with curiosity.

Lunch
Jae saw all his friends at their usual table in the cafeteria. He walked towards them and sat down. He heard them talking about the new girl.
“What are you guys talking about?” Jae asked while taking out his box lunch.
Yun Ho looked at him. “The new girl in our class, there’s something about her that’s bothering me.”
“Well, it’s actually bothering all of us it seems, which is weird, because no one else in our class seems to notice.” Jun Su said.
“I noticed it too.” Jae said calmly. Everyone else looks at him. “I caught her for a moment when she was walking towards her seat. She was walking with authority and as if she noticed what she was doing she tried to hide it. The way she looks around too is different, as if she’s observing everyone in a different ways.”
“Yes, that’s what I thought too.” Mickey said. “Why only us who noticed it?”
“We’re sensitive?” Max said and everyone started laughing.
“I’ve got an idea.” Jae said. “I’ll ask the teacher to let me take her around the school for a week, so she gets familiar faster.” Jae grinned at his idea. Everyone agreed.

Jayde is actually having fun at school. No one is bothering her and she can observe people quietly. She hasn’t made friends yet, but she doesn’t really care. She have Kim bum and that’s all she needs. She hasn’t seen him since the first day of school. He has been busy with work. She decided to call him later to invite him over for dinner. She turned around when she heard her name called.
“Ms. Lim.” Her homeroom teacher called her. “I forgot to let you know yesterday that you will have someone assigned to you to take you around the campus for a week.”
“Say what?” she was surprised to hear this. “I don’t need it Mrs. Choi. I can find my way around easily.” She smiled.
“Well, you have no choice because we already assigned you one.” She turned around and motion for someone behind her which Jayde haven’t noticed. “Jayde this is Jae from your class. He will take you around for a week.”
“Hi! I’ll be happy to take you around.” Jae said.
Jayde just stared at him. The first thing that caught her attention was his eyes. “Thanks. You don’t have to do it you know.” She said. She thinks that it looks cold, but then there’s something else. She’s so itching to get her camera out and take a picture of this boy.
“Don’t worry; it’s my job.” He said acting cold to see her reaction.
Jayde just shrugged, “Okay, it’s your time.” She said then turned around to go inside the classroom.

Cafeteria
“Jae over here!” Shout Yun Ho. Once Jae sat down with them he asked, “So? What happened? Is she coming with you?”
“Well, she has to, teacher told her.” Taking out his lunch box, “I’m a bit surprised though the way she wants to refused on me showing her around.” He’s thinking too hard. “Never had I ever encountered a girl like that.” He looks at the boys. “Girls usually can’t wait to spend time with me.”
“So? Where is she?” Mickey looking around the cafeteria.
Jae look up, “I actually lost her. That girl can walk fast.”
Max saw someone at the door of the cafeteria. “Hey guys, isn’t that the new girl?” everyone looks at the door, “Isn’t that Kim Bum? What is he doing here?” they’re jaw dropped when they saw him hugged the new girl. “They know each other?” Max looks confuse.
Jae eyes got colder. “So, she ditched me to meet with Kim Bum.” Jae said with a low monotone voice. The boys stared at him. They didn’t know that his eyes can get any colder than it is.

Jayde received a txt from Kim bum that he will be at school and to meet him up by the cafeteria. When the bell rang for lunch she just ran outside to meet him. She totally forgot about Jae.
“Jayde!” She turned around and saw Kim Bum.
“Kimmy!” She called and ran towards him. She is so happy to see him. Kim Bum hugged her when she reached him.
“How does the new school feel like?” He asked while they walk towards the table outside the cafeteria.
“It’s alright. I found a few guys that caught my attention.” Jayde said while taking the lunch box that Kim Bum brought. She noticed Kim Bum looking at her. “What?”
“You are crushing already on some guys?” Kim Bum said shocked.
Jayde smacked him on his head. “You silly. Not that kind of interest. I meant for a model. I want to take pictures of them. I’m already planning on some theme to work with them.” She said.
“Wow that fast huh? Who are they? And how many?” Kim Bum asked.
“There are five of them and all of them are in my class.” She said while eating. “Now, I just need a girl to be a model.” She noticed that Kim Bum is looking at something. She turned around to see what it is and saw the five guys from her class walking towards them.
“Hey new girl. What are you doing here?” Jun su asked.
She just looks at them and took a bite of her sandwich before answering. “Eating.” She saw Kim Bum holding his laughter.
“Aren’t you supposed to be with Jae?” Max asked.
She looks back at them. She doesn’t know what’s wrong. She just shrugged. “I forgot.” She saw Yun Ho sit with them.
“Kim Bum right?” Yun Ho asked.
“Yes, Yun ho right?” Kim Bum asked.
“Yes, and that’s Mickey, Jae, Jun Su, and Max.” They all sat down beside them. Jae sat right beside her and starts glaring at her.
She glared back, “What?” she asked.
“You forgot that you were supposed to be with me this whole week?”
“Yeah, something wrong with that?”
“How can you forget?” Jae glared.
“I just forgot. Things that don’t matter much to me I forget easily.” She said. She then realized that she said something that she shouldn’t have. She’s too blunt. That’s what happens when you grew up in the States. You just say everything what’s in your mind without realizing it. She just shrugged it off.
“I don’t matter?” Jae’s eyes are burning with anger. How dare this girl say he doesn’t matter? Doesn’t she know that any girl will do anything just to spend time with him?
Jayde sighs and put her sandwich down and look at Jae, “That’s not what I meant. I told you last time that I don’t need to be showed around here. I can find my way around easily. Sheesh…relax. You’re too stressed just for this.” She said. She heard someone groaned and chuckled. She doesn’t know which one. Before she can say anything else she saw Kim Bum stood up and grabbed her arms.
“Sorry guys. I apologized about her. She’s new here. I’ll explain everything to her. See you guys around.” Kim Bum then dragged Jayde away from the five guys.
“Yah! Why do you have to apologize?! I didn’t do anything to those guys!” Jayde scream while being dragged by Kim Bum.
The guys were shocked at what happened. The famous model Kim Bum dragged the new girl away from them. He said something to her in a different language and she shut up and glared at them. She then tries to say something with the same language that Kim Bum was saying, but they were too far already for them to hear it.
