As I carried the grocery basket on one arm, and my shoulder bag on the other, I caught sight of a peculiar bunch walking my way through the canned goods aisle. Two small girls, which i think are twins from their similar outfits, pushed the grocery cart together and pulled stuff out of the stacks of food and put them in the cart, with their parents never failing to catch them once they did. The couple, both looking old but full of life, held onto each other as they walk past me. I saw another middle-aged woman, wearing a ridiculous outfit as if she was joining a fashion show, wearing a thick layer of makeup that made her face look like a mannequin and not that of a human. She never stops looking at the young man checking the label of canned goods behind them. I shuddered. She must be an old maid.
A small boy tugged at her skirt upon noticing that she was being left behind. The woman, awakened from her day dreaming over the man, lightly spanked by the little boy for no reason. Last, I saw a pretty teenager walking slowly behind the group, following wherever they went without looking up from her cellphone. Her straight, black hair covered most of her face.
After the group walked past by me, I decided to resume my activities and pulled out a jar of pickles and put it in the basket. I looked at my wristwatch. It was 10:15 in the morning.
I began to walk to the cashier and fall in line with the other costumers. As the lined moved, I glanced outside the grocery store to check if my co-teacher was still there.
Yes, she was. There was Yuri, texting again. And yes, that also means I am a teacher. My name is ~~~~~ and I am twenty -three year old teacher in elementary. I teach Religion and Math, two subject clearly not alike. It was summer time so there weren't any classes. I usually drag Yuri with me to anywhere I'd like to go, and she doesn't complain. She says it was better than sitting around and doing nothing in our apartment. She is also a very good and considerate roommate and a very promising fashionista. I am a more of a t-shirt and jeans person, wearing a thick jacket over it and shoes with small heels. I set my hair loose over the hood of my jacket and clip the hair in front of my face to prevent it from disturbing me.
At last, it was my turn. I listened as the cashier took care of the rest, the beeping sound never failing to amuse me. I paid for my stuff, took the change and left, clutching the plastic bag in my hand.
Yuri noticed me as I pushed the door open. She waved and I smile, and together we rode in her blue Volkswagen and she drove us home.

"So, when are you leaving?" Yuri asked as we got caught in the traffic.
"Monday," I replied, "I m going to introduce you to my family. They've been wanting to met you."
"Oh really?" she laugh. "Why is that so?"
"Well of course! I m living with you everyday. They want to know what kind of person you are."
Yuri gasped as if remembering something.
"Oh, ~~~~~! I almost forgot. I can't come"
"why not? You have something more important to do?" I looked at her.
"I have a date with my boyfriend, Leeteuk"
Yuri tucked her hair behind her ear, her voice changing all of the sudden. She always does that when we begin talking about her boyfriend.
"oh..Maybe some other time, then," I smiled
"Guess where he's taking me!" Yuri's voice gets all excited.
"Where?" I asked only because she wanted me to, but I'm not really interested.
"He's taking me to that new French restaurant in town! Haven't you heard of it?"
"Oh yes, I have."
The cars started moving again and we drove forward.
"You should get yourself a guy, ~~~~~."
"I don't know...I m just not into that kind off stuff" I sighed.
Yuri scoffed at me. She pulled her cellphone from her purse and dialed a number, then she held the phone up to her ear. I didn't mind her at first, until she started talking.
"Hello, Siwon?" she talks to the phone. "Are you free tomorrow night?".........Good! Because I was hoping to set up a date with you tomorrow night.............What?.....No, not me! My friend, ~~~~~...."
My eyes widened. Me?
I glared at Yuri because she was setting me up again, aside from the reason that she was using her phone while she was driving.
"Okay, bye Siwon!" she smiled and put down the phone, then focused her attention again on the stirring wheel.
"Do you remember the first time you set me up?" I said, angry at her. "That was a total wreck!"
"No, it wasn't! you two looked cute, actually."
"Oh" I said in disgust.
I remember the first time she set me up. The guy drank a lot of liquor and threw up on me! I painstakingly carried him to a taxi and rode with him until we reached the apartment. From that day on, I told myself I would never go on any date again unless I willed it. But it was no use....Yuri had already done it and there's nothing I can do.
