Key sat with me at the back row, while mother’s hair blew wildly at the window in front. Dad was seriously quiet. He was always like that every time he drives.
I turned my head saw Key playing a game on his phone. He looked more serious than dad was.
After a few more hours of silence, except for the strong sound of the wind hitting our car, we arrived at Safari Resort.
We were greeted by a large, wooden post with the letters, S-A-F-A-R-I, R-E-S-O-R-T spelled on it vertically. Dad parked the car with other cars, just beside the trees. The entranced wasn’t too big. We were greeted by an endless row of trees, and a slightly long queue of people also wanting to get their rooms reserved. Mom volunteered to do the falling-in-line job, while we get the bags ready.
The line moved slowly. It took about fifteen minutes for mom to reach the entrance booth. I watched her inquire about the cabins and all the other stuff she does when it was her turn.
“Holy cow!...” Key whispered with utmost shock and turned around to hide his face from someone in front of us.
“What’s wrong?” I looked at him, then looked in front of us to find something weird. Nothing there. Just the long line.
“Pretend you’re talking to me,” Key said, in whispers.
“I am talking to you. I’m actually asking you something but you’re not answering my question,” I said back to him.
But suddenly before Key could answer, a small, red-haired girl with a cute face and green eyes came running to Key, then held his arm.

“Key? Key ~~~~~?” she pulled my brother who was desperately looking the other way. “Oh my gosh! It is you!”
“H-H-Hi…” babbled Key, defeated, now beginning to look at her. What’s this all about?
The red head noticed me and said hi, then faced Key again, not even waiting for me to say ‘hi’ back to her.
“~~~~~,” Key smiled, foolishly. “This is Lee Sunny, my classmate. Sunny, this is my noona, ~~~~~.”
“Oh…Nice to meet you.” I smiled, then shook hands with her.
“Me, too,” she smiled. “You look prettier in person. I’ve seen pictures of you from Key and I think you’re real lovely.”
“Thank you,” I said once I detected a tinge of sincerity in her voice.
“So,” Sunny faced my brother. “You’re here on vacation, too?” Wow, she’s still not letting go of my brother’s arm.
“Yup…”
“How long will you be staying here?”
“We will be leaving tomorrow morning.”
“Really?” Came her disappointed voice. “That’s a shame!” Now, both her hands are on my brother’s arm. Key looked like an idiot, trying to smile but he didn’t look like he was smiling.
Mom waved for us to follow her, holding up the key on top of her head. We must be going into the cabin now.
“I must go…” Key smiled foolishly again.
“Oh, sure!” Sunny said, finally setting Key loose. “Bye Key!” She waved her fingers ever so sweetly, made beautiful eyes at him, and made her voice sound like there was a musical tone in it.
As we walked through the large cottages with numbers at their doors, I turned to Key.
“What’s wrong with you?” I asked him directly.
“I think you already know what…” he said, with great disgusts in his voice.
“You don’t like Sunny?”
Key bit his lip and breathed deeply. Well, silence means ‘yes’. And I can see why.
