I smoothed the balloon skirt as I Faced the mirror. This was the night I'm supposed to go on the date. My dark brown hair accentuated my light brown outfit with spaghetti straps and a small embroidered flowers.

The Volkswagen honked for me outside. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs and rode the car with Yuri.
"Look at how beautiful you are!" Yuri praised as we sped to our sped to our destination. "I told you you look better in a dress."
"Oh please..."
"Come on, ~~~~~. Smile! Siwon won't like you that with that frown on your praise face!"
"I m not aiming for him to like me..."
"Just be nice to him...Oh look! There he is!"
Yuri found a parking space and waved at the guy wearing a long sleeved shirt and black pants. He looked smart in his outfit.
Yuri went down from the car and handed me the keys. She told me to use the car to get home. I think she had learned her lesson.
"Well, enjoy!" she said, always with high-spirits. She turned around and waved for a taxi. I faced Siwon and he smiled and took my hand, leading me into the old-looking restaurant.
"You look pretty". he praised.
I've always hated those compliments, but i thanked him nevertheless.
"You're ~~~~~, right?" Siwon asked as we climbed up the wooden stairs.
"Yes, ~~~~~ ~~~~~" I smiled meekly at him.
"Choi Siwon," he smiled as he introduce himself.
We got inside the wooden restaurant, found a seat and sat down. I looked at the surroundings. It was very homey. The lights were a little dim and the fireplace made the whole place light up with an amber glow. The champagne glasses sparkled and the candles glowed serenely. I felt kind of sleepy all of a sudden. I let Siwon order everything, but I watched every move he made. I've heard a lot of victims' stories about date rape. I'm always careful.
Once the waiter had gone, I stared at the candle burning in front of us.
"It's a little...dark in here." I commented with utmost honesty.
"Yeah...he smiled. "Isn't it romantic?"
I forced a smile on my face, looked the other way, and rolled my eyes secretly.
"So...you're Yuri's roommate?" he asked.
"Yeah...and co-teacher."
"Oh! You're also a teacher?"
I nodded. "Math and Religion"
"That's nice. I'm an executive assistant. How old are you?"
"Twenty-three."
"Really? I"m twenty-five?"
"Oh..."
"So what are you doing right now?"
"I'm planning on being a private tutor during the summer.
There are still students looking for tutors."
"Wow. You never stop working."
I smiled.
The whole evening seemed rather dull, While and after we ate our steak, he keeps on yapping about his type of girl, the history of the restaurant and the story of his life.
I drank my wine quietly. I was feeling very weird all throughout our date, and I think I know why. I didn't bother to tell him, though He might freak out.
