I stepped on the doormat, and I suddenly heard a very strange voice talk in my head. I felt a very heavy and unsafe feeling. Fear filled my heart.
I paused and froze by the door.
“So…” the voice seemed to say. “You’re the one who thinks you can drive me away, aren’t you?...”
The voice can only belong to one…it was the demon! My heart thumped. I breathed heavily and I dropped my bag. There was no one else in the room. I was alone.
“You can’t stop me…”I bravely said, but I was very terrified. His voice seemed to pierce into my very soul!
I looked around me. It was strange! The room was different, the sky looked dim, the flowers wilted and the house looked so old and I felt very hot, like I was on fire!
“I’m very powerful and I can do anything!!...” said the voice. “You are only a puny little human…weak!...vulnerable!
I felt dizzy and I felt myself falling and collapsing to the ground! It seemed so slow and I felt so alone and confused! I opened my eyes and I saw the ceiling, looking like it was rotating! Blag! I fell to the floor.
“Ha! Ha! Ha!” the demon laughed!
Tears fell from my eyes. My whole body ached and I felt extremely dizzy!
“You are weak, human!....Weak…weak…WEAK!!! hahahaha!!...You don’t stand a chance against me!...Look now at yourself!...Where is the God you worship? Huh?...WHERE IS HE!!!”
I closed my ears and shook my head.
“Leave me alone!!!” I shouted.
“Scared now?...Don’t worry…Worship me and I’ll stop…That’s all you have to do…Leave the man alone and let me TAKE HIM!...let me take him to the realms of my kingdom!!!”
“Never!!” I cried and kept my ears closed, but it was no use. The voice was in my head. “I won’t let you! You are nothing!”
I struggled to stand up from the ground and I looked around. I saw the house burning!
“Nothing!!!” the demon sounded enraged. “Who are you to call me that? You are just a human, who gives in to our pleas!”
“I am a child of God and I know what you are!” I shouted at the top of my lungs. “You are less than a pig! Less than the droppings of a bird and less than the dirt on the ground! You are nothing and you cause nothing but misery in this earth! You don’t deserve to exist!!”
“AAAAAHHHHHHH!” the demon tried to distract me. The voice was monstrous! It was shattering my eardrums! “AAAAAHHHHHHHH!”
“Leave me be!!!” I insisted. “Leave Yunho in the name of God if you don’t want to be punished with His wrath upon you! You must not dwell in his body because he doesn’t belong to you! You belong in the fiery pits of hell and there you must stay! Go!
“NEVERRR!!!” it insisted.
“Give it up, demon!” I shouted, filled with the Holy Spirit. “I believed in God and love Him with my whole being! I believed in Him and you can’t convince me otherwise! And no matter what you do, I don’t care if you even kill me because my spirit will live forever but it will die the moment I worship you! So go! Go and never come back!”
“EEEYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHH!” the demon shouted loudly and disturbingly! I prayed the Apostle’s Creed at the top of my lungs and I prayed it with my heart and soul! I felt God lifting me up from fires and freeing me from the grasp of the devil. And for the first time, I think I felt heaven!
Then, everything went dark.
