It was morning. I opened my eyes and stared at the white ceiling in my bedroom. I closed my eyes again, then I turned my head and looked at my family picture frame standing on the table beside my bed.
There it lay, standing amongst my radio clock and my bedroom lamp. I took the picture. This one was taken during our last camping trip. There's mom and dad, and there's Key, my younger brother.(A/N: by the way Key, he is one of the member of shiNEE...here's the link... http://bestuff.com/stuff/key-shinee..).He's in college now living with mom and dad. I heard that he's quite a heartthrob in his school. I smiled. Key's a shy boy. I can't imagine what his life was like in that school. And mom, oh, I miss her lasagna. It's the best. Dad always fixes my stuff whenever they get broken. I miss them.
The main reason why I left home and decided to lived in this apartment is because I've always dreamed of this: living independently. I visit our house often, anyway. My parents understood me. They always do. Even though at times I feel like going back to our house and staying there forever and bullying my younger brother again, I feel that I can widen my experience in another place.
I smiled, put down the picture and picked up the telephone. I dialled our number. Ring....Ring....I hear a click. Someone picks up the phone.
"Hello?" I hear Key's soft, cool voice. Maybe that's one reason why the girls love him.
"Hey Key! It's me!" I said with a jolly tone. I sat up on the bed.
"noona!"(A/N: In Korea Noona is what a younger male would address an older female. It means sister.) he seemed to be jumping for joy at the other end of the line. "How are you? I was beginning to think about you."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah...I just ate the last scoop of bran flakes in the cereal box....Normally, you're the one who finishes them off!"
I laugh at him."I miss you Key..."
Come on noona! You're getting all mushy again!"
"Okay, Okay. I'll stop. So how school?"
"Guess what? I'm getting better and better in literature! Normally, I fall asleep with that subject, but now I think it's cool. The internet is helping me a lot..."
"Congratulations.."
"You know what, noona? Many of the older guys in my university are wanting to meet you. They saw your picture in my wallet and they think you're pretty cute."
"Tell them I'm too old for them, Key, " I laughed. "And why are you showing them your wallet picture, anyway?"
"Come on! You're only twenty-three!"
"You're still not answering my question."
"Well...You don't wanna know."
"Okay...where's mom and dad?"
"They're still asleep."
"Really? No way!"
"Yeah... They came from a business party last night, gowns and catering. They're pretty tired. Well...how about you? What's going on with you right now?"
"Me?...Well, I just got into another kind of activity...spirit taming."
"You? Well, I'm not surprised."
"Really? Oh! I almost forgot, Key! I have to go to a house right now. I'll call you at some other time."
"Oh? Yeah sure. Bye noona!"
"Bye, phantom-farter!" I teased him.
"Bye, jelly-pooper!" He teased back.
I put down the phone and giggled. Those are the names we call each other. I'm so close to my brother inspite of our difference in gender, and we seldom fight unlike how an older sister and a younger brother always does.
I pushed away the blanket, fixed the bed and took a shower. I breath heavily, for this was the day.I was going to face one of the biggest challenges of my life....seriously. I came out of my room wearing my usual get-up and found Yuri on the couch, munching a donut and watching T.V.
"I'm going now." I said to her. "Oh, may I have one of these?" I said as I pulled a donut out of the box.
"Sure. You look like you're not planning to have breakfast. What's the hurry?"
"I'll explain later, it's getting late." I came out of the door. "Bye."
I rushed out of the the apartment, called a cab and told him to go to the address I read on the paper Mr. Jung gave to me.
