Chapter 6

The Jung family

It took only about ten minutes for us to reach the place. We drove through a street with lots of trees lined at the both sides. They seemed lovely, but the place seemed secluded, with that kind of setting. We drove by a house, and another. I signed with relief. I was kind of expecting that at the end of the road stands their mansion like house, just like the Adamson Family movie I had watched.

The Taxi stopped. "Well, here we are." said the driver.

I peeked at the window and gazed at the cherry blossoms. How lovely!

I immediately paid the driver and went out of the cab, thanking him before he drove away. I looked at the large house, and I totally fell in love with it. It looked kinda like the house of Stuart Little; only larger. My parents always say I had photographic memory because I always compare what I see from what I had seen in the movies.

I took a few glittered barrettes from my pocket and clasped them into my hair. I almost always wear green accessories on my hair, because it suits my hair color best. My hair is a bit like the color of dark brown teddy bears. My eyes are black as night and my lips are pale but it's best that way. I'm not used to putting lipstick on. I like the natural color of my lips best.

I took a deep breath and climbed up the steps, all covered with cherry blossoms. The doorbell was very old fashioned. I pulled the strings and bells chimed. It was adorable!

A few moments passed and a maid opened it. She was in uniform. Wow, this family must be rich.

"Good morning," I greeted her. " Is this the Jung residence?"

She nodded at me.

"Are you ~~~~~ ~~~~~?"

"Why...yes."?

"Come in,"she smiled at me. "they're expecting you."

She led me into the pretty house. Just as I expecting, the floors were dark, sturdy wood, varnished and shined until they were shiny. The drapes were expensive-looking, and the furniture looked as if they were imported.

The housemaid told me to sit on the sofa chair inside the living room, so I obeyed. She left me sitting alone as I gazed around the house. I noticed one thing: normally, when I came inside a wealthy person's house, I see a lot of knick-knacks: figurines from China, porcelain fountains and jars, crystal ornaments and the like. But in this, house I don't see a lot of those. I thought maybe this family is too simple.

I didn't notice Mr. and Mrs. Jung come inside the room. Once I did, I immediately stood up to greet them. They came inside the way they always do: with Mrs. Jung holding onto Mr. Jung. Following them are the children, the teenager and the old maid, as I remember from the grocery store. Then a maid came in, pushing a wheelchair with an old lady riding on it. They all looked kindly at me.

Mr. Jung stepped forward.

"Before we start, ~~~~~, I would like to introduce you first to the family." he faced them and stood beside me. "This is ~~~~~ ~~~~~."

"First of all, my name is Warren, and this is my wife, Mina." Mrs. Jung smiled, Mr. Jung pointed at the twins. "My identical twins: Haylie and Hadley, my second child, Sunye, and my sister-in-law Shin. That is my mother:Jung Haneul."
The old lady sitting on the wheelchair smiled at me and looked at me from head to toe. Mr. Jung pointed to the little boy. "The youngest child, Eunji." The boy looked shyly at me, his blue eyes staring at me innocently.

"May I ask Mr Jung," I found something odd, "You said Sunye was the second child. Who's the first?"

"Yunho hyung!"(A/N: Hyung-This word is literally translated as "older/elder brother." It can be used to refer to older male relatives (eg: cousins) or close friends as well though) Eunji's voice echoed through our ears.

I got nervious. Maybe he's the one I was supposed to "cure", probably because he's not here.

"Y-yes." Mrs. Jung smiled. "Yunho is the eldest."

I just nodded. I know what they're going to say already.

"I shall meet him?" I promptly asked them.

"Why of course! The sooner, the better!" Mr. Jung exclaimed enthusiastically. "I think you're going to be great friends. You're twenty-three right? He's about twenty-four! You're almost the same age."

Great. Now Mr. Jung is making it sound like he's a normal fellow and we can be friends and everything. That's kind of him, anyway. He doesn't want me to get scared of this Yunho.
