Chapter 13
“Tavia… Where are you?” Raymond shouted frantically.
Tavia ran over to Raymond. “Ray… I’m here. Ray… OVER HERE!”
Raymond turned around and saw Tavia waving at him. He pushed his way out of the crowd and ran towards Tavia to hug her immediately. “Thank God you’re okay. I was so worried about you. I heard about your flight… and I rushed back. I was soooo scared that something might have happened to you!” Raymond cried out as he hugged Tavia tightly in his arms.
“I’m fine Ray. Everyone on the plane I heard is fine too. Plus… I… I actually didn’t even board the plane.” Tavia comforted Raymond. All she could think of this moment was that Raymond came all the way back just to see if she’s okay. She was really touched and happy to see him. Raymond held her so tightly that it was starting to suffocate her a bit. “Ray… I’m suffocating here!” she giggled.
Raymond realized that he was still hugging Tavia so he let her go. “Sorry.” Raymond apologized and started blushing. “I couldn’t control myself. I told you before I’m willing to wait for you to answer me. Sorry…” Raymond continued. “Hang on… what did you say? You didn’t board the plane? What? Huh?” Raymond asked.
Tavia told him the story and Raymond laughed at Tavia’s clumsiness. “I cannot believe you didn’t even make an effort to check your travel documents before you came to the airport!” Raymond continued laughing.
“It’s not funny. My client in Shanghai really needs my help. Now Lei has to go instead.” Tavia grumbled as she crossed her arms.
“Okay sorry. Don’t be angry…” Raymond smiled as he pulled his ears. “Won’t make fun of you anymore! Oh well, since I’m here now, let me take you home.”
“But I just called my driver to come pick me up.” Tavia replied.
“Call him and tell him not to come!” Raymond suggested as he passed her his phone.
“Okay.” Tavia smiled and called her driver telling him not to come. She was very happy to see Raymond. All she could think of was how Raymond cared a lot about her and a thought ran through her mind.
“Let’s go. My car’s outside.” Raymond grabbed her bags and walked. All of a sudden he could feel someone holding onto his hand.
“Where do you think you’re taking my bags? Are you not taking me with you?” Tavia smiled as she held onto Raymond’s hand.
Raymond looked at his hands and then at Tavia. “Does this mean…?”
Tavia nodded. “This is my answer. You happy?”
“Do you even have to ask? I’ve been waiting for this moment!” Raymond cried out happily as he swung Tavia into his arms to hug her.
Both of them laughed happily. “Let’s go Ray.”
“Anything you say.” Raymond held onto Tavia’s hand tightly and they walked out to get Raymond’s car. When they were outside Raymond glanced around for his car. “Huh? I thought I parked it here.”
The policeman walked over. “I told you young man… If you didn’t remove your car I’m towing it away. Here’s your ticket. You’ll have to pick your car up there.”
“What?! That’s the latest Porsche and you… My poor car!” Raymond exclaimed.
The policeman shrugged his shoulder and walked away.
“What do we do now Ray? Let me call my driver again.” Tavia suggested.
‘Nah… Let’s go take the Airport Express out so I get to spend more time with you… alone!” Raymond replied with a big smile on his face. “I won’t have a car for a while… but then who needs a car when I have a girlfriend?” Raymond smiled.
“Uh… your girlfriend?” Tavia joked. “I was expecting to have a boyfriend who would also be my chauffeur…” Tavia giggled.
“If I remember correctly, you have a car too. Instead of me driving, I guess you’ll be the one driving me around till I get my car back! Now I have a girlfriend and a chauffeur.” Raymond laughed as he dragged Tavia to take the Airport Express.
“No I’m not driving… I haven’t driven for a long time! I’m a reckless driver…” Tavia whined.
“Okay, okay… stop whining. Lend me your car. I’ll drive. I’ll pick you up, send you anywhere you want. You’re the princess now...!” Raymond laughed.
“That’s more like it…” Tavia grinned and hugged Raymond while they waited for the next Airport Express to arrive at the station.Inside the train, Raymond still held onto Tavia’s hand. Tavia seeing how tightly Raymond was holding onto her started to giggle.
“What you laughing at?” Raymond asked as he looked at the giggling Tavia.
“Nothing…” Tavia lied.
“There must be something… tell me please?!” Raymond whined.
“Okay, okay…” Tavia gave in. She pointed at their hands. “Ray, you’re holding onto my hand really tightly. You can loosen your grip a bit. I’m not running away…” she smiled.
Raymond observing his grip, let go of Tavia’s hand immediately. “Sorry… did I hurt you?”
Tavia just couldn’t stop laughing at Raymond’s cuteness. “I told you loosen your grip. Not let go… unless you want me to run away…” Tavia grinned.
“No, no… don’t leave me!” Raymond held onto her hand again. “I’m never letting you go!”
Tavia smiled and hugged Raymond. “Aw… Ray you’re so cute. No wonder I love you too!” she whispered into his ear.
Breaking away from Tavia’s hug Raymond cried out “You love me? You really do?”
“Do you not want me to?” Tavia smiled.
“Of course I do. I love you too Tavia!” Raymond exclaimed as he brought her back into his arms.
“Thank goodness there’s no one in this car!” Tavia giggled.
“I don’t care if there are people around. I want the whole world to know that I love you Tavia.” Raymond protested. Breaking away from the hug, Raymond asked Tavia “Um.. can I call you Tav instead of Tavia?”
Tavia chuckled. “Of course Ray. You can call me anything you want. Just don’t call me fat, ugly… um… stupid… dumb…”
“Can I call you… darling or honey?” Raymond grinned.
“Um…” Tavia smiled suspiciously.
“Nah… I’ll just call you Tav!” Raymond interrupted Tavia and chuckled.
“You’re so silly but I like it.” Tavia smiled.
