Tavia led Raymond to the garage. “This is my car.” Tavia smiled.
“Are you kidding?” Raymond raised his eyebrows as he observed the pink Mini Cooper.
“Yep. You’ll need a car. I’ll lend you mine.” Tavia grinned.
“Does your brother drive? Maybe I could borrow his car instead.” Raymond suggested.
“Ray, your father is Frank Lam. The chairman of Lam’s corporation and you only have one car.” Tavia laughed. “Well… this is all I have. Take it or leave it!”
“Fine, fine. You win.” Raymond took the keys and opened the car door.
Tavia hugged Raymond. “You’re the best! Hang on Ray. Give me 5 minutes. Let me go in a grab a little something to accompany you.” Tavia turned around and ran back into the house. A couple of minutes later, she came back.
“What is it?” Raymond asked suspiciously.
“Something I know you’d love.” Tavia smiled and handed Raymond a CD.
“Oh my God. It’s Joe’s “All That I Am” album. You’re the best too!” Raymond hugged Tavia. “I’ll pick you up from work at 6:30 tonight.” Raymond got in the car and started the engine.
“Drive safely. I’ll see you later.” Tavia waved at Raymond.

Raymond finally reached his office carparks. He rolled the car windows down and stuck his head out to speak to the security guard. “Hi. This is my temporary car. Can you please let me in?” Raymond asked.
“Mr. Lam. Sure.” The guard opened the gates and let Raymond’s car in. “Nice car by the way. I like the color.”
Raymond smiled and waved back. He parked the car and turned off the stereo which was obviously playing his favorite song.
Back in the office. “Good morning Susan.” Raymond cried out happily.
“Good morning Mr. Lam. You look as though you’re in a really good mood.” Susan replied as she followed Raymond to his room.
“I sure am. What time is the meeting?” Raymond asked as he settled himself on his chair.
Susan gave a brief account on his schedule for the day and left the room.
Raymond took his phone out and called Tavia.
“Hello…” Tavia answered her phone.
“I miss you already!” Raymond chuckled.
“Hey Ray.” Tavia giggled. “Obviously not concentrating on your work.”
“Hard to concentrate when I keep thinking of my pretty girlfriend.” Raymond laughed.
“And who is that pretty girlfriend of yours?” Tavia questioned suspiciously.
“I don’t know… why don’t you tell me?” Raymond replied. “Anyhow, I have a meeting later so even if I wanted to meet you for lunch later on, I can’t.” sighed Raymond.
“That’s okay. I have to head back to the office. Got to go over some material with Lei before she heads off to Shanghai. I’m meeting you for dinner anyway.” Tavia replied.
“True. Can’t wait to see you!” Raymond cried out.
“Aww…” Tavia giggled. “Go back to work la. I will see you tonight.”
“Okay. Bye.” Raymond hung up and let out a big smile. He looked at the files in front of him and flipped them open.

Tavia on the other hand finally reached her office at noontime. She walked into Leila’s office. “Lei…” Tavia smiled.
“What’s up Tav?” Leila asked. Observing Tavia’s facial expression, she somehow sensed that Tavia was really happy. “You look very happy today. Did something happen? I would have expected the workaholic Tavia to be extremely pissed off with the fact that she can’t board to the plane to Shanghai. But… look at you?”
Tavia laughed. “I was quite pissed off until… you free for lunch? I’ll tell you all about it then.”
“Even if I didn’t want to go to lunch, I guess I have to since I wanna know what happened.” Leila smiled.
“Sounds good. I’ll book at table down at the café downstairs. I’ll come over later and let’s go.” Tavia suggested. She turned around a headed back to her room.
“Okay.” Leila yelled at the Tavia as she walked off.
During lunchtime, Tavia told Leila about what happened earlier on. “I knew it. So you and Raymond are officially a couple now!!” Leila cried out. “I’m so happy for you Tav!”
Tavia laughed. “I’m happy too. Ray is such a sweet guy. I’m sure he won’t be like Ron. Plus, we don’t work in the same field. We won’t have any competition at all.”
“Wow… you’re going to be marrying one of the heirs to Lam’s corporation. How cool is that?” Leila laughed.
“Heir or no heir to Lam’s corporation is not really an issue. Plus, to me money was never the most important thing.” Tavia replied.
“True. You and your family have enough anyway. So when you going to introduce Raymond to your family?” Leila asked.
“Lei, we just started going out today!” Tavia giggled.
“That’s right. But it seems like you guys have been together for a long time though!” Leila laughed along.
“I know. Weird isn’t it?! I’ve never felt like that before. Whenever I’m with him I feel really safe. It’s like he’s always there when I need him. Anyway…” Tavia smiled when thinking of Raymond.
“Yeah, yeah. Now that you’re happy, you don’t have to brag about it.” Leila whined.
“Aww… Lei. You and my brother… don’t worry, I’ll nag my brother. I’m still sure that you’re going to be my future sister-in-law!” Tavia winked. “You know my brother’s a really shy boy.”
“I don’t know…” Leila smiled. “Anyhow, now that I have to go to Shanghai instead of you, YOU owe me big time.”
“Fine, fine. This is lunch is on me!” Tavia giggled.
“Only lunch…? DINNER as well!” Exclaimed Leila.
“Sorry, meeting Ray for dinner already! Maybe another day!” Tavia gave Leila a puppy face.
“Ugh. RAY… AGAIN!” Leila cried out.
“Why don’t you go have dinner with my brother…” Tavia suggested.
“Whatever! Some kind of best friend you are! Haha…” Leila replied. They looked at each other and started laughing.
