Chapter 15

6:30 sharp Raymond was waiting downstairs for Tavia. Spotting Tavia coming down the escalator, Raymond ran over to Tavia. “Hey sweetie.” He cried out happily as he helped Tavia with her folders.
Tavia gave Raymond a hug. “Hey Ray. Ooooh. Cute car you have!” Tavia winked at Raymond.
“You like it? It belongs to my girlfriend.” Raymond grinned when Tavia got in the car.
“So where we going?” Tavia asked.
“Let’s go to the beach for a while. Got a little surprise over there for you.” Raymond smiled.
She looked at him warily. “Surprise?”
“Just wait and see!” Raymond laughed.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Silver cord beach. They got out of the car and took a stroll on the beach. “Tav, why don’t we take a seat over there near the trees.” Raymond suggested.
“Okay.” Tavia smiled.
“Stay here. I got to get something.” Raymond said as he went behind the trees. Tavia turned around and looked at the sea. “I’m back.” Raymond said holding onto a big basket.
“What’s that you got in your hand?” Tavia asked curiously.
Raymond placed the basket on the sand and opened it. Taking out a white tablecloth, he placed it on the sand. “Let’s have a little picnic tonight.”
Tavia giggled. “Sounds interesting. Need help?”
“Sure.” Raymond replied happily.
Very soon they had the whole place set up. On top of the white tablecloth, sits a bottle of champagne, bread, some smoked salmon, goose liver pate and some fruits. Around the white sheet, Raymond lit some candles to light up the place since it was getting dark. Tavia stood behind and observed the place. Raymond got up and walked over to her. “Come and sit down.” He led her to sit down on top of the sheet.
“Hm… how romantic.” Tavia smiled as she held the glass up while Raymond poured some champagne for her.
“You like it?” Raymond asked.
“Yep. I sure do.” Tavia cried out.
“That’s good.” Raymond smiled.

Dinner that night went very well. They had a very romantic evening. After eating, they continued sitting. Raymond put his jacket over Tavia and his arms over her shoulder while she placed her head on his shoulder. “This is our first night together as a couple. I wanted this night to be a special one.” Raymond said.
“I had a great night. Thank you for this wonderful evening Ray.” Tavia replied as she held onto Raymond’s hand.
Raymond kissed Tavia’s forehead gently which left a smile on her face. Seeing her smile, he got up. “Let’s dance Tav.” Raymond suggested as he helped Tavia onto her feet.
“Here?” Tavia asked.
“Yep.” Raymond smiled.
“HOW? We’ve got no music to dance to.” Tavia giggled.
Raymond pulled Tavia into his arms. “I’ll sing.” Raymond whispered into her ears and he started to sing ‘No One Else Comes Close’ softly as they danced.

When we turn out the lights
The two of us alone together
Something’s just not right
But girl you know that I would never ever let
Another’s touch come between the two of us
Coz no one else will ever take your place

No one else comes close to you
No one makes feel the way you do
You’re so special girl to me
And you’ll always be eternally
Every time I hold you near
You always say the words I love to hear
Girl with just a touch
You can do so much
No one else comes close

And when I wake up to
The touch of your head on my shoulder
You’re my dream come true yea
Oh girl you know I’ll always treasure
Every kiss and every day
I’ll love you girl in every way
And I always will coz in my eyes

No one else comes close to you
No one makes feel the way you do
You’re so special girl to me
And you’ll always be eternally
Every time I hold you near
You always say the words I love to hear
Girl with just a touch
You can do so much
No one else comes close

No one else comes close
Tavia I love you

“Ray, I love you too!” Tavia whispered back into Raymond’s ear and hugged him tightly.
“I listen to this song everyday and hoping that one day I can sing it to the girl I love. I’ve never sung this song to anyone. You’re the first and the only one who I will sing this song to.” Raymond said as he looked into Tavia’s eyes.
“Because of you, I love this song too. Ray, this is song means a lot to both of us. From the first day I met you to now…” Tavia smiled.
“This is our song.” Raymond replied as he leaned in and kissed Tavia on the lips.
