The following week – In Tavia’s office.
Tavia was sitting in her office going over some documents when her phone started ringing. “Hello…?”
“Hi sweetie. It’s me. I’m afraid I can’t come pick you up later on. Will still be stuck in a meeting. However, I got Ah-Sing (The name of Raymond’s driver) to go pick you up. He’ll be there at 6.” Raymond said on the other line.
“Oh don’t worry about it. You concentrate on your work. I’ll go down at 6 then.” Tavia smiled as placed her pen down.
“Okay, I have to go now. Sorry. Love you.” Raymond said as he hung up.
“See you later.” Tavia replied. When she placed her phone down, she looked at her ring and smiled.
“AHEM… Mrs. Lam, finished talking to your honey already?” Leila giggled as she stood in front of Tavia’s office door.
“Hey Lei… how long have you been standing there?” Tavia asked as Leila handed her some files.
“Since you started staring at your 5 carat engagement ring.” Leila laughed as she sat down.
“Very funny.” Tavia smirked as she flipped the files open.
“Actually, you know what is funny?” Leila asked.
Tavia raised her eyebrow and looked at Leila suspiciously. “Yeh I know what’s funny… the fact that you’re officially going out with my brother now. After all, you’ve been waiting for this for such a long time.” Tavia giggled.
“Well, that wasn’t what I had in mind…” Leila smirked. She passed Tavia some magazines. “You’re famous now Tav. Look, your picture is on every gossip magazine there is lately.” Leila laughed.
Tavia observed the magazine and her face turned red. “Wow… I didn’t know being engaged to Raymond would make me famous.” She flipped one of the magazines open and started reading. “Hey, I wonder how they managed to get so much information on me. I obviously didn’t tell them anything!” Tavia asked.
“I have no clue either.” Leila shrugged her shoulders and got up. “Anyhow, I’ll leave you to your magazines. I got to get back to some work. I talk to you later.”
“Yep. Talk you later. Thanks for the mags.” Tavia smiled.

In Raymond’s office.
“Ms. Yeung, have a cup of tea first. Mr. Lam should be done with his meeting very soon.” Susan said as she handed Tavia a cup of tea.
“Thank you Susan.” Tavia smiled.
Suddenly, Raymond’s cell phone started to ring. Tavia seeing the phone ring, decided to pick it up. “Hello?”
“Raymond-Gor…!” the voice on the other line cried out.
“Sorry, Ray’s not around right now. May I know who’s calling?” Tavia asked.
“Oh Tavia, this is Nancy calling. Can you tell him that I called and if he has time, can you also ask him to call me back?” Nancy asked.
“Sure. I’ll tell him to call you back.” Tavia replied.
“Thanks and bye.” Nancy said and hung up.
“Bye.” Tavia smiled and continued with her reading.
Very shortly, Raymond opened the door and walked in. “Hi sweetie. What you reading?” Raymond asked as he gave Tavia a kiss on the cheeks.
“Just some magazines.” Tavia replied and showed Raymond the cover of the magazines.
Raymond read the covers and started laughing. “I know… annoying ain’t it?! I didn’t know there were so many reporters there at the Annual Ball.” Raymond chuckled.
“Oh well… I actually like this picture. Look, we both look pretty good huh?” Tavia laughed.
“Anyhow, we should head off soon. Your dad and my parents should be waiting for us in the hotel. We have to try out the food for the banquet tonight.” Raymond grabbed his jacket and pulled Tavia out from her chair.
“Oh Ray, by the way Nancy called a while ago. She asked you to call her back.” Tavia told Raymond as they walked over to the elevator.
“Did she say why she was calling” Raymond asked.
“Nope.” Tavia shrugged her shoulders.
“Hm… I wonder what that Lang-mui is up to this time.” Raymond said as he called Nancy.
“Hi Lang-mui, it’s Ray. Tavia told me you called. What’s up?” Raymond asked as he held Tavia’s hand and entered the elevator. “Dinner tonight? Sorry… can’t make it. Tavia and I are having dinner with our families.” Raymond replied.
“Okay. Bye.” Raymond smiled and hung up.
“She wanted to see if you’re free for dinner?” Tavia asked.
“Yep. She said Bosco went out with Sharon so she wanted to see if I was free for dinner. But of course, my girlfriend is the MOST important thing to me.” Raymond grinned and looked at Tavia evilly.
“There’s a video camera up there. Don’t try to do anything naughty!” Tavia giggled.
“I wasn’t planning to!” Raymond smirked.
As they were driving over to the hotel, Tavia’s cell phone started to ring as well.
“Hello…?” Tavia said.
“Hey Tavia, it’s Ron. How are you?” Ron asked on the other line.
“Oh hi Ron. I’m fine thank you.” Tavia smiled. Raymond hearing the name Ron looked at Tavia immediately. Tavia smiled and patted his shoulder and whispered ‘Calm down’.
“I was passing by the newspaper stand earlier on and I saw your picture on the magazines. Congratulations.” Ron said.
“Oh thank you. I’m surprised my picture managed to make it on the front covers.” Tavia laughed.
“So you going to invite me to the wedding?” Ron chuckled.
“Of course. You better come. So when are you going to get married?” Tavia asked.
“No idea. I still got to find myself a girlfriend…! You got anyone to introduce to me?” Ron laughed.
“Um… I’ll ask around. Anyhow, let’s meet up some time later on in the week for dinner. How about Thursday night?” Tavia asked.
“Should be okay. Make sure you bring Raymond along.” Ron replied. “This time, it’s my treat. Anyhow, got to go now. I’ll call you after I booked a table. Bye.”
“Sounds good. Bye.” Tavia said and hung up.
“Ron?” Raymond asked when Tavia hung up.
“Yep. He called to congratulate us.” Tavia laughed.
“Oh right.” Raymond smiled and nodded.
“Don’t tell me you’re jealous again!” Tavia giggled.
“Of course not. I’m the one with you now. Plus, you’re going to marry me soon!” Raymond boasted.
Tavia seeing Raymond’s reaction started to laugh. “You’re so silly.”
“I’m silly but you like it!” Raymond chuckled. “So we going to have dinner with him on Thursday?” Raymond asked as he parked the car.
“Yep. You’re free on Thursday, right?” Tavia asked.
“Not a problem.” Raymond replied as they got out of the car.
“You got any single girl friends who we can introduce to Ron?” Tavia giggled.
“Why?” Raymond asked suspiciously.
“Well, if Ron’s taken then it will prove that he’s not after me anymore and you’ll be happy.” Tavia giggled as Raymond wrapped his arms around her waist and walked out of the Carpark.
“Who said I’m scared of Ron?! But that’s a good idea. I’ll ask around and see which girl friend of mine is still single.” Raymond chuckled.
“Sweetie… you got to trust me some time!” Tavia giggled as she whacked Raymond on the arm.
“I do… Hey after that whole Ron incident, I learnt my lesson already.” Raymond kissed Tavia on the forehead.
“Good.” Tavia smiled.
