Tavia was sat on the chair next to Raymond’s bed and was reading her files quietly. Suddenly a sheet of paper slipped out of the file. Tavia bent down and picked the paper up when all of a sudden she felt someone touch her hand lightly. Feeling the touch, Tavia got up immediately and looked at Raymond. “Ray…” Tavia cried out happily as she saw Raymond’s hand move. “Ray… wake up please?”
Suddenly Raymond’s eyelids started to move and he gradually opened his eyes. “Ray…!” Tavia exclaimed.
“Huh…?” Raymond muttered as he tried to focus.
“Ray, you’re up.” Tavia cried out happily and a tear rolled down her cheeks.
“Where am I?” Raymond asked.
“I’ll call the Doctor… now!” Tavia said as she pressed the button.
“Who… who are you?” Raymond looked at Tavia.
“You don’t remember me? I’m Tav… your fiancée.” Tavia looked back at Raymond anxiously and held her hand up to show Raymond the ring on her finger.
“You…” Raymond glanced at the ring and back at Tavia.
“Oh my GOD. I’m so sorry Raymond. It’s all my fault. If I didn’t run away, you wouldn’t get hit.” Tavia sobbed.
Looking at Tavia sob, Raymond held his hand out. “It was my fault. I should have never doubted you.”
“What?!” Tavia lifted her head up and looked a Raymond who had a big smile on his face.
“Forgive me?” Raymond pouted.
“RAYMOND LAM! THAT WAS NOT FUNNY!” Tavia yelled as she got up. Just at that moment, the doctor entered. Tavia turned around and was about to leave.
“Tav…!” Seeing Tavia leave, Raymond jumped out of bed but he landed on his slippers which caused him to lose balance and thus he fell making a loud thump sound.
“Mr. Lam… are you okay?” the doctor rushed over and helped Raymond back on the bed.
Tavia hearing the thump turned around and found Raymond on the floor. She rushed back to see if he was okay. “Ray… you okay?”
“I’m sorry about that prank. Please don’t leave me…” Raymond begged as he held Tavia’s hand and lied back on the bed.
Tavia looked at Raymond with the bandages wrapped around him eventually gave in. “I’ll let the doctor examine you first. I’ll sit right here and wait.” Tavia smiled.
Raymond smiled happily as the nurse closed the curtains while the doctor examined him.
As they were busily examining Raymond, Tavia called Louis to tell him that Raymond has finally woken up.
5 minutes later, the Doctor finished examining Raymond and left the room. He told them that Raymond was okay now and should be able to leave the hospital very soon. Tavia thanked the doctor and closed the door when he left. Once the door was closed, Tavia turned around and glared at Raymond.
“I’m sorry…” Raymond pouted and pulled his ears.
Tavia didn’t say anything. She walked across and sat on his bed.
“Sweetie… say something. Don’t be angry.” Raymond begged.
Tavia leaned forward and closed her eyes. She slowly slid her hands up to touch his face. Raymond leaned closer and was about to kiss her when he suddenly jumped up. “Ah…!” He shrieked as Tavia pulled his ear.
“Raymond Lam… you try to throw that kind of prank again…” Tavia grinned evilly.
Raymond laughed. “Okay, okay. So long you’re not mad at me anymore, you can pinch me as much as you want.” Raymond winced in pain.
“Even if I wanted to be mad at you… seeing you wrapped up in bandages, I couldn’t bring myself to be mad at you anymore.” Tavia let go of Raymond’s ear and smiled. She leaned forward and was about to kiss Raymond. But this time, Raymond tilted backwards. “I’m not going to pinch you anymore!” Tavia giggled.
Seeing Tavia laugh, Raymond leaned forward and kissed her. “I know you’d forgive me.” Raymond chuckled.
“How do you know?” Tavia asked suspiciously.
“Well, when I was out of the Operation Theater, I kind of heard someone say “Ray… um… don’t ever leave me… and then the voice mentioned something about wedding dresses…”
Tavia blushed. “I think you were dreaming.” Tavia denied.
“Hm… maybe. BUT if I’m correct you didn’t even leave the hospital. You stayed with me all the time.” Raymond boasted.
“How do you know?” Tavia asked again.
Raymond pointed at her documents. “You even brought your work to the hospital so you could stay with me.” Raymond winked.
“If you weren’t going to wake up one of these days, I was going to leave you behind.” Tavia said.
“You wouldn’t… you still love me.” Raymond whined as he held onto Tavia’s arm and laid his head on her shoulder.
“Ugh…” Tavia sighed. Right now, she was happy that Raymond finally woke up.

Another three days later.
“Hey…” Tavia said as she entered the hospital room and saw Raymond packing.
“Hi sweetie.” Raymond replied and kissed Tavia on the cheeks.
“Where’s Auntie and Uncle? Are they not coming?” Tavia asked as she took over with the packing while Raymond put his shoes on.
“Dad’s back in the office with Louis and Jessica. Mom on the other hand is meeting her friends for a game of Mahjong. So basically that leaves you here to pick me up. Thank God I still have a girlfriend who cares about me!” Raymond chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Tavia.
“If I knew that they were all not coming, I wouldn’t have come either!” Tavia giggled as she slid away from Raymond.
“Aw… you wouldn’t leave me!” Raymond chuckled.
“Very funny! I’m not too sure about that. We’ll have to see how you behave from now on.” Tavia winked and walked out of the door.
“Hey aren’t you going to carry my bags for me?” Raymond yelled as he grabbed his bags and ran after Tavia.

In Raymond’s room.
“Feels so good to be back home. I missed my bed!” Raymond cried as he rolled around his bed.
“Careful. Don’t try to injure yourself again!” Tavia exclaimed as she sat next to Raymond on the bed. “I can’t afford to spend any more time in the hospital. I got a lot to do at work!”
“I promise you I’ll take very good care of myself from now on. You don’t have to worry.” Raymond chuckled.
“Who said I’m worried about you? I was simply talking about work.” Tavia rebutted.
“Not worried?” Raymond grinned evilly and grabbed Tavia who fell on top of him. Raymond looked into Tavia’s eyes and continued to grin. “You know what? No one is at home right now…” He gradually leaned over to kiss Tavia but she covered her mouth immediately.
“I have to go back to work.” Tavia smiled. “Why don’t you get some rest Mr. Lam?”
“Aw… skip work for a day!” Raymond begged as Tavia rolled over to the side of the bed so that she could sit upright again.
“Nope. Just because you never get sued, doesn’t mean others don’t.” Tavia smiled as she fixed her hair. “I have to go to court today after lunch.” She leaned back and kissed Raymond on the forehead.
Raymond sulked.
“Now you be a good boy and get some rest first. I’ll come visit you after work and have dinner with you.” She patted his cheeks lightly and got up. “I got a little surprise for you later. So if you want to know what it is, you better listen to me. Close your eyes and sleep.” Tavia winked as she was about to close the door.
Raymond smiled and closed his eyes.
