In Lam’s Corporation.
Raymond walked merrily into his office. “Hey Susan. Any messages for me?”
“Mr. Lam... Nope. No messages. You look very happy! What happened during lunch?” asked his secretary Susan nosily.
Raymond laughed. “Do I? Hehe... I don’t know!” He opened the door to his room and fell back onto his chair. He took his wallet out and Tavia's name card. Staring at the card he chuckled, “Tavia.”

In Tavia’s Office.
After court, Tavia returned to her office. Instead of walking into her own room she knocked on the door next to hers.
“Come in...” the voice answered and Tavia walked in.
“Hey Lei, got a minute?” Tavia asked as she sat on the chair.
“Sure. What’s up?” Leila dropped her pen down and looked at Tavia. “Geez Tav, your eyes are very red. What happened?”
“I broke up with Ron during lunchtime...” Tavia mumbled.
“What?!” exclaimed Leila. “Are you okay? Oh my goodness, how did you manage your case in the afternoon?”
“Come on Lei, you know when it comes to work I’m extremely pro. I won’t let my own personal problems interfere with my work... but now that work’s over...” Tavia let out a sigh.
“Right... let’s go grab a drink. Give me five minutes so that I can finish off what I’m doing right now.” Cried Leila enthusiastically.
“Thanks buddy. I know I can always count on you!” smiled Tavia. “I’ll go grab my bags and wait for you.”
“Okie dokie. I’ll knock on your door when I’m done.” Replied Leila.
Shortly, Leila knocked on Tavia’s door and they both left the office to head to the restaurant.

In the restaurant.
“Can I take your orders?” the waiter asked.
“Um... yes. We’ll have two glasses of house white please.” Leila replied as Tavia just stared endlessly at the glass of water in front. As the waiter walked off, “Okay, Tav tell me what happened.”
“I... I...” Tavia mumbled. “I don’t know how to put it. You know what happened... the whole court case where he accused my dad for misjudging the case that led to the innocent imprisonment of his client, etc. I mean just so that he could win the appeal case he would do anything. Did it even occur to him that after saying that my dad would inevitably be hearing a lot of people saying things? You should see how much pressure my dad went through.”
Leila nodded, “yeh... and now you just feel that Ron’s someone who would sacrifice anything in order to win his cases.”
Tavia nodded, “I feel like I no longer know who he is. He’s like a stranger... I mean after 4 years, I still can’t believe he’d do something like that.”
Well... let’s just say, he's not worth it. You can do much better than Ron Ng. You should see the number of guys that look at you each time we go out!” chuckled Leila.
Tavia smiled, “you’re right. Why should I dwell over someone that’s past tense to me now?”
“There we go... the Tavia Yeung that I know is back. Hehe... now we can go flirt around and not feel guilty!” cried Leila excitedly. They both laughed.
While chatting away, Tavia’s phone suddenly started ringing. It was her Brother Matt calling. “Hello... Gor (Gor is Brother in Cantonese). What’s up?”
“Tavia, Dad asked if you wanted to eat out tonight? I think he’s kinda tired with Ling-zeh’s (The name of their maid) cooking...” laughed Matt on the other line.
“Um... sure thing. Actually, Gor hang on a sec.” Tavia pulled her phone away from her ear and asked Leila, “Hey, wanna join us for dinner tonight? My brother’s coming as well...”
Leila blushed, “well...”
“Well what?! Hehe no answer means a ‘YES’” grinned Tavia. Back to her phone, “Gor, Leila’s joining us for dinner too. Tell daddy that. We’re currently sitting in Gianni’s. Why don’t you and daddy come join us here coz I can’t be bothered to move.”
“Oh okay. Sure thing lazy bum. We’ll be there in half an hour!” replied Matt as he hung up.
“Tav...!” exclaimed Leila angrily. “I didn’t even say...”
Before Leila could even finish her sentence, Tavia interrupted her, “Yeah, yeah... you didn’t even say ‘yes’... blah blah... Come on Lei, your parents are out of town anyway. I’m sure you didn’t have anything planned for tonight. Plus, you’re supposed to accompany me... I broke up with my boyfriend today!” Tavia gave her a baby face.
“Still...!” replied Leila who was trying to look angry but gave in very soon after seeing Tavia’s cute little baby face. “If I knew your brother was coming, I would have dressed up!” joked Leila.
“Don’t worry... Even if you don’t have any make-up on and you’re in the ugliest outfit, my brother will still think you’re the sexiest girl in the world.” Laughed Tavia.
Hearing what Tavia said, Leila blushed again and smacked Tavia on the arms. “OUCH” yelled Tavia who still couldn’t stop laughing.
“What’s going on here?” asked a voice from behind. It was Matt and Tavia’s father.
“Oh hi Uncle Thomas. Hi Matt...” said Leila as she greeted both of them with a kiss on the cheeks.
“Hi daddy...” Tavia said happily as she walked over to her father.
“How’s my little princess today?” asked Mr. Yeung as he kissed his daughter on the cheeks as well.
Sitting down, Tavia sighed “Exhausted... I have something to announce as well. Let’s order first... Leila and I are starving!”
“Tav... Speak for yourself!” said Leila as she nudged Tavia in the arm.
“Easy, easy my dear sis. Dad and I just sat down. Let me drink something first.” Added Matt.
“Come on, you know what you’re going to eat anyway. You guys always eat the same thing in this restaurant! You never change.” Tavia rebutted as she waved at the waiter to come take their orders.
“Okay, okay sweetheart. We’ll order first... Calm down.” Smiled Mr. Yeung as looked as his children fighting over the smallest thing.
After the waiter had finish taking their orders, Mr. Yeung looked at his daughter and said, “so what was it that you wanted to announce sweetheart?”
“That’s right daddy. I wanted to say that Ron and I... broke up today.”
“You broke up with Ron? Huh? Ron Ng?” asked Matt.
“No duh... How many Ron’s do you know Matt?” Tavia said as she smacked her forehead.
“Why?” Mr. Yeung asked. “Is it because of that court case? I’m perfectly fine with it... I’m not angry at him. Plus after hearing, they still ruled that my judgement was correct.”
“No daddy.” Lied Tavia. “I just feel that I don’t understand him anymore... plus we seem to want different things in life. He’s just not the one I see myself spending the rest of my life with.”
“Are you okay?” asked the extremely concerned Mr. Yeung.
“Don’t worry daddy. Your daughter’s really tough. Plus I got you, Matt and this best friend of mine here to cheer me up... What more do I need?” smiled Tavia.
Leila patted her best friend’s shoulder and said, “Don’t worry Uncle, Tavia’s a tough girl!” Leila knew Tavia may look okay now, she was still very upset deep down but she believed that all Tavia needs now is a bit of time to recover totally.
“Yep. Lei’s right. Since I'm the heartbroken one now... I need a lot of love and care from you all.” Laughed Tavia.
“Great?!” cried Matt. “Which means trouble for us now... Since she’s got no boyfriend, she’ll be bugging us all the time!”
Both Leila and Mr. Yeung laughed at Matt’s comment. “Seems like I’ll have to reschedule my whole timetable for the coming week...” chuckled Mr. Yeung. “I’ll see what I can do sweetheart... but I don’t guarantee anything!”
“I don’t care... you guys have to accompany me ALL the time!” whined Tavia.
“Beg me.” Matt said as he shrugged his shoulders.
“Yeh me too...” added Leila.
Tavia crossed her arms and stuck her tongue at her brother and best friend. They all laughed.
