Tavia found out a lot about Raymond from his childhood to the Raymond today. He told her a lot about his family and his likes and dislikes. Furthermore, she found out that Raymond’s favorite song was Joe’s ‘No One Else Comes Close’ and that he listens to that song virtually everyday. All of a sudden, Tavia got out of bed and walked to her shelf of CD collection and picked out Joe’s ‘All That I Am’ album. Taking the CD out, she played it on her stereo. She played ‘No One Else One Else Comes Close’ and set it on repeat. Lying on her bed and listening to the song repeat itself, Tavia fell asleep very shortly.
On the other hand, Raymond too was lying on bed listening to his favorite song and of course thinking of Tavia. Suddenly he jumped out of bed and cried, “Oh no, I have to figure out which Thai restaurant is good so I can take Tavia out for dinner.” He rushed over to his pile of magazines lying around on the floor and picked out the latest issue of “Fine Dining in Hong Kong”. Flipping through the magazine he finally picked out a very posh Thai restaurant. “I’ll take her to this one!” he smiled. Hugging onto the magazine and still listening to his favorite song, he tucked himself in bed. Very soon he fell asleep. Snoring away, Raymond face still carried that big smile of his and of course he’s still hugging the magazine.

The next morning, Raymond jumped out of bed when his alarm set off. “Tavia…!” he yelled. Realizing that it was his alarm clock and what he just said, he started laughing at himself. While he was showering and grooming himself, he couldn’t stop but think of meeting Tavia later on for dinner. All he could do now was smile at himself and think how he’s never felt like this for any other girls before, not even Michelle. He walked down to join his family for breakfast. “GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!” he cried out merrily as he gave his mother a kiss on the cheeks. “MY GOODNESS MRS. LAM, YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY STUNNING TODAY?!” he giggled as he settled himself down.
His mother looked at him and gave him a light punch on the arm, “Hah… already making fun of your mother!”
“Hehe… aiya, my mom always looks stunning… right dad?” Raymond continued to giggle as he reached for his orange juice.
Mr. Lam just smiled at his son.
“Ray, you look awfully happy today? Something must have happened?” Jessica asked suspiciously.
“Yeh what is it Ray?” added Louis.
“Gor, Dai-so (Dai-so is Sister-in-law in Cantonese)… I’m just being myself.” Smiled Raymond.
“Something must have happened!” replied Jessica who refuses to believe Raymond’s explanation.
“I don’t know…” shrugged Raymond.
“Anyhow, I’m going to head back to the office first. See you all there… and by the way, I’m not coming home for dinner tonight… AGAIN!” laughed Raymond as he waved them all goodbye and headed towards the door.
The rest of the Lams continued to stay put at the dining table looking at each other wondering what’s wrong with Raymond.

In Lam’s Corporation – In Raymond’s room.
Throughout the day, Raymond kept on looking at his watch and wondering why the day seems to be passing by really slowly. Sitting at his desk he took another look at his watch. “Hm… 3:30. Another two and a half hours to go.” Thought Raymond. “Should I call her and ask her what time I should pick her up?” he continued thinking as he picked his phone up. “Nah… she might be busy right now. She’s probably in court right now.” Shaking his head, he put the phone down. “But she might forget that I’m supposed to meet her for dinner tonight. Maybe I should remind her!” thought Raymond as he picked the phone up again. “NO. Put the phone down RAYMOND LAM! You already made a big fool of yourself last night. Don’t try to freak her out!” shaking his head, Raymond put the phone down… AGAIN! Just as Raymond placed his phone down, his cell phone started to ring.
“Hello…?” said Raymond.
“Hello Mr. Lam. This is Miss Yeung’s secretary calling. Miss Yeung asked me to give you a call since she’s currently spending the whole day in court. She wanted me to tell you that she’ll be waiting for you in the office at 6:30pm and if possible, could you please give her a call when you arrive?” said Tavia’s secretary on the other line.
“Oh yes. Sure. Thank you.” replied Raymond happily thinking that Tavia didn’t forget about meeting him for dinner tonight.
“You’re welcome. Goodbye.” Tavia’s secretary said as she hung up.
Simply knowing the fact that Tavia didn’t forget about dinner, somehow just made Raymond smile. He opened the folders in front of him and continued working hoping to get off work soon so that he can go see Tavia.
Raymond’s wish did somehow come true. Time did fly by very quickly and it was time to get off work. He closed the folder in front of him and got up to get ready to leave. Grabbing his jacket and car keys he was ready to go pick Tavia up. Arriving at her office, Raymond calls Tavia.
“Hi Tavia. This is Ray calling.” He said happily.
“Oh hi Ray. I’ll be coming down shortly. Give me 10 minutes.” replied Tavia as she shuffled her papers around.
“Sure thing. Take your time.”
“Thanks. I’ll see you in a bit.” Tavia said as she hung up.
10 minutes was really 10 minutes. Tavia walked over to Raymond’s car and obviously spotting Tavia walking over, Raymond got out to help her with the doors.
“Thanks” Tavia said as she got in.
“No prob…” Ray replied happily.
“So where are we going for dinner tonight?” Tavia asked enthusiastically.
Raymond who was getting ready to start the car replied, “Thai food. You said last night you wanted Thai food. I did my little research last night and somewhere in Central, there’s a really authentic Thai restaurant.”
“Yay… Thai food!” cried Tavia like some little kid receiving the toy they were longing for. “I’m hungry now…” she laughed.
“That’s good…” Raymond said smiling at Tavia’s reaction.
