In Lam’s Corporation – In Raymond’s Office.
Raymond was busily typing away when the intercom on his phone started beeping. “Mr. Lam, Mr. Bosco Wong is on Line 1.” Said Susan.
“Thanks. Put him through please.”
“Yo Ray. How’s it going?” asked Bosco merrily on the other line.
“Ugh... damn busy!” sighed Raymond. “I still got a whole load of folders piled up in front of me to go through.”
“Take it easy, pal!” exclaimed Bosco. “What you doing later on tonight?”
“Go home and sleep?!” Raymond replied.
“Aw... How BORING?! Come out and have some fun. You need a break!” Bosco continued.
“Out? But I’m so tired...” Raymond argued.
“I bumped into a friend from college two nights ago and we said we’re going to meet up later on tonight for a drink. Hey, that friend of mine says she has a really good looking friend who she can introduce to us.” Laughed Bosco.
“Good looking girl? Nah... not interested.” Raymond replied.
“Yeh, yeh... I know you only have Tavia in your mind right now but look, there’s no harm making new friends. It’s not like I’m match making you with that girl. Just come out tonight and chill...” Bosco said. “Look, I’ll meet you at Jazz Club tonight at 10. Don’t be late... Gotta go now. Later.”
“Eh...” before Raymond could say anything else, Bosco hung up. “Stupid Bosco. Guess I’ll just have to drop by...”

In Jazz Club.
“Yo Ray over here!” yelled Bosco as he spotted Raymond coming in.
“Hey...” Raymond said.
“Yo Ray this is my friend from college, Leila Tong. This is my best friend Raymond Lam.” Bosco said as he introduced them.
“Nice to meet you!” said Raymond as he shook Leila’s hand.
“Likewise.” Smiled Leila.
“Hey Lei, thought you had a friend coming over as well... where is she?” asked Bosco as Raymond settled himself down.
“Hm... she should be coming. Let me give her a call.” Replied Leila as she took her phone out. “Hey Tav, where are you?” asked Leila. “Still at work? My goodness... it’s 10pm right now and you’re still at work? Are you mad?”
Raymond looked at Leila starts to wonder. “Tav? Is that short for Tavia? The friend that Leila’s supposed to bring along is Tavia? Hm...”
“WHAT?! You still haven’t eaten yet? My goodness... you better take care of yourself. Do you need me to bring you something to eat?” Leila continued asking. “Okay. You take care of yourself. Bye.”
“I take it your friend can’t make it.” Smiled Bosco.
“Sorry. She’s still stuck at work right now.” Leila apologized.
“I’m sorry Leila but is your friend Tav, Tavia Yeung?” asked Raymond.
Leila raised her eyebrows and looked at Raymond. “Yes. You know her?”
“The barrister, Tavia Yeung. Yes I know her. She’s actually a friend of mine.” Replied Raymond happily.
“Oh right. Guess I didn’t have to introduce you two to each other after all.” Laughed Leila.
“What a coincidence!” laughed Bosco.
Raymond thinking back at what Leila was saying just now with Tavia, he realized that Leila mentioned Tavia still not having eaten dinner yet. Without thinking twice, Raymond said “You guys, I’m really exhausted from work today. I’m sorry to sound rude but I think I might head off first.”
Leila laughed, “Haha... Don’t worry about it. You look tired as well.”
“Yo man, since you already know that Leila’s friend, no need to introduce you guys.” Bosco added. “Go home and get some rest. We can all meet up for dinner some other time.”
“Alright then. Goodnight!” Raymond replied as he got up and headed out.
Once he got out of the club, Raymond thought to himself. “Let me go buy Tavia something to eat and bring it to her office. Poor Tavia... she must be starving by now.” Just the simple thought of seeing Tavia soon made Raymond smile. Walking very quickly, Raymond stopped by a noodle shop and bought Tavia a hot bowl of Wonton Noodle. He got in his car and drove off to Tavia’s office.

In Tavia’s office.
Outside Tavia’s office, Raymond took his phone out and called Tavia. “Hey Tavia. This is Ray.”
“Oh hi Ray. What’s up?” Tavia asked.
“Do you mind coming out of your room to help me with the doors? I can’t get in your office.” Raymond continued.
“My office?” Tavia asked as she opened the door. Looking up she saw Raymond outside the front door with a plastic bag in his hand. Hanging up she walked over and opened the door. “Oh my goodness, what are you doing here? She asked happily.
“I heard from Leila that you’re still stuck at work and that you still haven’t eaten yet.” Raymond smiled as he held the plastic bag up to his face level.
“You met Leila? When” Tavia asked as she led Raymond to her room.
“Well, apparently you were supposed to go with Leila to Jazz Club to meet her friends. I was one of them.” Raymond laughed.
“No way. What a coincidence?!” Tavia laughed as well as she pointed to the chair so Raymond could sit down. Sitting herself on her chair, she asked Raymond. “So let’s see what you got me to eat?”
“Wonton noodle. Your favorite...” Raymond replied as he looked at the packet of biscuit on her desk. “Don’t eat anymore biscuits. No good. Have the noodle. It’s still hot!”
“Good memory. Oh did you get me vinegar and chilli sauce as well?” Tavia asked.
“Of course... I remember... everything you say!” Raymond replied as he blushed.
Tavia smiled as she opened the bowl of hot noodle. As she ate each bite she thought to herself of what a cute and sweet guy Raymond was. With the hot noodle steaming up, Tavia was really touched.
Raymond observing Tavia eat, smiled to himself thinking how he really wants to be with her and that she’s definitely the one for him.
After finishing her noodle, Tavia looked at Raymond as said “Thank you Ray. It was really thoughtful of you to bring me something to eat.”
“No prob. You should have called me. I would have gotten you something to eat... You know starving yourself if not good for your body.” Raymond replied as he yawned.
“You must be tired. I still have a lot to do for tonight. Won’t be going for a while. Ray, thank you for dinner but I think you should go back and get some rest. I can handle the rest by myself.” Tavia smiled at Raymond.
“You sure?” Raymond asked.
“Yes. You go home and get some rest. Don’t want you to fall sick too!” Tavia laughed as she cleared the food from her desk to get back to work.
“In that case, I won’t bother you. Don’t work too late. Take care of yourself. If you need anything, just give me a call.” Raymond said as he walked towards the door.
Tavia got up thinking that she should see him off when Raymond interrupted her, “Don’t get up. Get back to your work. I know where the door is. Remember... don’t...”
“Don’t work too late...” Tavia laughed at Raymond.
Raymond blushed and laughed along. “Bye Tavia.”
“Bye Ray. Drive safely.” Tavia waved at Raymond.
Raymond left Tavia’s office but instead of driving home immediately, Raymond parks his car in front of Tavia’s office building. He was still worried about Tavia going home alone this late. Sitting in his car, he put some music on and waited patiently for Tavia to get off work.
