She was,until 8 months ago.
Yunho got hit by Leukemia.
Long was the dancing Yunho gone.
Now,it was Yunho on the sickbed,pale and tired.
Still,Yunho cracked jokes with Naomi,reassuring her that the operation would go just fine,hide his pain from chemotherapy and simply to make Naomi smile.
After a few months,He couldn’t talk.
Naomi stubbornly stayed by him,quitting her job,just to stay by his side 24 hours.
Maybe because they knew he couldn’t live long,
But didn’t want to accept that fact.
Sure enough, Yunho died after a few months, when the operation was a failure.
That was when,she met SungMin.
SungMin was the nurse-in-training at the hospital,and being the nice guy he was,he comforted her and became the friend she could rely on.
“Yunho wouldn’t want to see you like this.”He reasoned with her when she wanted to kill herself.
He bought her candy when on friend-dates and played basketball with her, even if he hated that sport.
He never told her he loved her,but Naomi knew,and knew him well.
“Yunho,I loved you, but you were gone.I know you were unwilling.So you gave me my own guardian angel,SungMin.One Year Later,I am finally able to let go of you.You’ll want that,right?” Naomi fingered Yunho’s picture carefully before smiling and heading out for her first official date with SungMin.
